Installing Diode Dynamic Elite series fog lights with backlight into OEM LEDs
2018 TRD off-road. Has anyone else installed the DD Elite series fogs with OEM LEDs and been able to get the backlight in the fogs working? I’m looking for that violet/purple wire that powers the parking lights. This connection should allow the fog light backlight to be powered. The LED headlights don’t have the violet wire so I need to find it elsewhere. I’ve read that it can be found near the airbox, but that’s a long way from the drivers side fog light. Clearly there must be a wire I can use near each parking light…right?

Home Assistant w/ FireFly G12
Hi guys,
I’m trying to automate my RV, which has firefly g12 system that runs RV-C CAN network and I need to attach an add’l CAN device (+Pi) onto the network but all network ports are taken.
According to my research, I think I have 2 options:
1.splice 3-way one of the wire/ports between g12-CANable-existing wire
2.g12 to common drop tap and reconnect existing wire to the tap along with CANable
Is this approach correct? Background is software/AI with little electrical knowledge. I want to ultimately run Home Assistant w/ AI from voice. Thanks

Looking for help with my car.
2011 Kia Sorrento having what seems like electrical issues hoping somebody can give me some sort of direction or advice. Battery test good on my second alternator in less than a year. It’s left me stranded three times out of the three times it would only start up and drive fine for a little while again after sitting for 30 minutes. Battery tested good alternator tested good on a multimeter had it towed to Meineke today they said everything looks good couldn’t really find any issues. They said they seem to think my brand new alternator from O’Reillys may not be any good that I need to go with OEM alternator. I’ve never heard this before. Can anyone give me any sort of direction advice because it’s at the shop right now and I know they are gonna charge me another thousand dollars for an alternator and labor

would lack of ignition filter cause P0607? 2009 Matrix
Hey I'm finishing up an engine re&re I started 2 year ago on 2009 toyota matrix 1.8L manual. donor engine did not have iginiton filter/condenser.
pretty sure I have a vacuum leak (brake clean test didnt find anything though)
getting 0301, 0302, 0138, 0219a and 0607.
a little concerned because needing a new ecm might make this project not financially worthwhile

Changed key fob battery red light blinks when pushing buttons but doesn’t work
I have a 2019 Lexus NX 300h. One of my key fobs is not working. I changed the battery. The red light blinks whenever I push any of the buttons but nothing actually works on the car. Can’t unlock, lock, open trunk, or use panic button. It was working fine before. This is the one my bf uses so doesn’t get used as often as mine (which works fine) but still was getting used regularly. What could be going on?

Help with bus build
galleryTurning a mini bus into a mobile home :)
Having trouble with the rear turn signals, neither have power (second pic). I tested fuses are good, every other wire in the harness has power just not the turn signals
Where do I start, do I just splice into the front turn signals?

Trailer Light Wiring Question
I have a Volvo xc70 that I installed a hitch and wiring on some time ago. It was a wiring kit from e-trailer that has a control box where one live wire runs up to the positive batter terminal, and two connectors plug into each of the tail light connectors in the car. The wiring has been finicky from the start. The only way everything worked was when I would leave the back hatch unlatched. If the back hatch was completely shut, only the running lights would work. Since then, now only the running lights function no matter what.
I’ve tested the ground with a multimeter, which seems to be good. (Checked and confirmed continuity between the ground pin on the 4 pin connector and the ground screw that attaches the white wire from the control box to the unibody. Is that the correct way to test that?)
Using a multimeter on the 4 pin connector, there is 12 volts going to each of the three other pins all the time, no matter if blinkers, brakes, hazards, or headlights are on or off.
I’m fairly certain the issue is on the car side of things and not the trailer because the trailer works fine on other vehicles, and I have one of those 4 pin circuit testers, and the multimeter, which confirms what I stated above.
What am I missing here? The kit seems pretty plug and play, but surely I’m just missing something.
Thanks for the help!
