I don’t know the app exists or if it is accepted by the appstore, but I just created a prototype using StevenBlack unified hosts list and I can happily play casual games without interruptions.

How would you name it?

(Would take me a while to publish it to public since it’s just 1 button and no design but ai would like to name it someway)

Edit: for context, what the app does is “become a vpn” and block calls to ad providers, it’s like an add blocker but works locally on your phone so you don’t get popup ads while gaming

Most privacy apps ask you to trust them.

I kept needing to add subtitles to videos and got annoyed with the usual flow: upload to some site, wait, download something almost right, then fight the timing editor.

So I built a small native macOS app for myself. Pick a video, choose the audio track, generate timed subtitles on the Mac, fix text/timing, preview a caption style, and export a new file without touching the original.

Requirements are macOS 14.6+ / Apple Silicon. There’s a short free trial if anyone wants to poke at it.
