Came across an interesting AMWF anime called Gosick. The Japanese MC, Kujo, travels to a fictional European country called Sauville, where he is hated, bullied, isolated, and treated like some kind of cursed person because he is an Asian foreigner. He gets called the "Black Reaper".
He ends up bonding with Victorique, a WF character who is also an outcast, but for different reasons. While Kujo is treated like an outsider for being an Asian foreigner, Victorique is an outcast because of her almost superhuman detective abilities, with her incredible observation skills, memory, and deductive reasoning. Victorique is a genius girl that can use her "wellspring of wisdom" to solve difficult cases, while being imprisoned by her Father at a early age.
Kujo can come across as a little stubborn and even whiny at times, but deep down, he is a kind person who genuinely cares about Victorique. His backstory also explains a lot about him. He was treated harshly by his father, an Imperial soldier, but his mother always appreciated him for staying kind despite everything. Wanting to escape his father's and older brother's expectations, he leaves for Sauville to study.
Gosick has a subtly developed romance with no fanservice. At first, Victorique is pretty cold toward Kujo and acts like a typical tsundere, but she gradually warms up to him as he continues to protect her and treat her kindly.
The series never sexualizes Victorique or their relationship, which helps make the romance feel more sincere. Watching their connection grow over time makes their relationship feel genuine, and by the end, you become deeply invested in their journey together.
Gosick has one of the best anime endings I’ve ever seen. The final few episodes get really intense as everything starts coming to an end. The ending is both beautiful and tragic in its own way. It’s one of those endings that hits you hard and leaves a lasting impact.
Personally, I think this is one of the best AMWF anime out there. If you're an anime fan on this sub, I really recommend giving it a try. It's definitely worth watching. Tada Never Falls in Love is another great AMWF anime that I recommend checking out too.

22 years and counting. We both asked mutual friends to set us up with someone at the same time, so when they met up to discuss who... 2 kids and many travels around the world later, we're still planning more trips to see more out there.

I was rewatching A Dog's Journey on Netflix and wanted to take a moment to appreciate how cute of a couple CJ (Kathryn Prescott) and Trent (Henry Lau) made! 💕
