There was an issue with CVS and my Ambien refill so I was without it for a couple of days and it was brutal. I usually take 10-20MG a night and then went to nothing suddenly. I had the worst sleep of my life. Got my refill today finally so all is well.

So my concern is, I‘m taking 300mg pregabalin daily as prescribed by my doc. I also take diazepam as needed but rarely (very rarely) use it but have taken it 10mg the last 2 days. I want to try the old Zolpidem (prescribed year ago by another doc) I still have from the same doc for sleeping issues.

I thought for that, it might be best to not take any Pregabalin at all (and obviously no diazepam at all obviously anyways, which I don‘t take at all anyways).

What would your suggestion be for this?
I can also get over the day with only 100-200mg Pregabalin. My thought was maybe even go one day completely off of Pregabalin (Lyrica) so 0mg for the one day I want to try the Zolpidem (Ambien) just to be out of risk of any interactions or biasing/reducing the potential effects of the zolpidem.

What would you do, what should one do, safest use (except the safest use of not taking any Zolpidem at all obviously)?

My ideas:

a. Take only 100mg (maybe 200mg) Pregabalin and take some Zolpidem. But: How much? I have a blister of 4-5 capsules.

b. Take no Pregabalin at all and take some Zolpidem.

c. any other recommendations, experiences, knowledge welcome

Also to the big questions apart from my regular treatment of daily pregabalin and the potential interaction of it with Zolpidem:

1. Is Pregabalin mixed with Zolpidem an issue? If yes, how, why and at what risk?

2. What dose of Zolpidem is a good starter dose? And what effects should be expected? What should one try to look out for or avoid?

3. If (I never experienced Pregabalin withdrawal so far, even when missing a dose, but just in case) I should choose the Plan b (mentioned above) and take no Pregabalin at all on the day I want to try the Zolpidem, could Zolpidem be pharmacologically effective enough to calm down any Pregabalin withdrawal/rebound to not dampen the real effects of the Zolpidem or would the sudden absence of Pregabalin in my system disrupt and disturb and bias the real effect of Zolpidem?

Any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, experiences, and pharmacological knowledge very welcome!

I do actually feel like people prevaricate too much on the sort of annoying culture there (especiall the lunk alarm) and not as much on how it’s an affordable, okay gym for casual gym goers, but I didn’t know I felt this passionately about it.

While on Ambien, has anyone ever had an experience where you were "in" a book or movie? This happened to me twice that I remember. There was a book I was independently studying that was adapted into a good film. The narrative structure was different and I studied both to learn about the writing and how that was successfully adapted into a great movie. While on prescribed Ambien for sleep, I found myself out of bed and "in" two different scenes. The second time it was dangerous but fortunately I was at home and by myself. The first time was a party scene and it seemed so real. I even heard ambient sounds of talking, glasses clinking, and music. Then it was just gone. I shut my eyes like trying to get back into a good dream but it was gone. I know now I should have been terrified but at the time it was so real and seemed fun, although I'd never use that word now with what I know about this drug. Then I was alone in a dark room in my house. I am very interested in any similar experiences. If for some reason you don't want to post it please message me. Thank you.

it can absolutely be a dangerous drug to fuck with but it becomes frustrating when somebody explains that the benefits outweigh the risks for them, and they've already tried all the alternatives that they recommend. only to be told repeatedly that strangers know your situation better from one Reddit post. Even if they haven't tried every alternative, why would you just change to something a reddit user told you to if zolpidem already works for you. it's just not useful advice

The dementia/effect on your brain argument is also so stupid. insomnia itself is also linked to dementia. There is no proof zolpidem causes dementia.

Personally I have taken breaks up to a month long and have never experienced withdrawal. But somehow seroquil is fine??? and anything can lead to dependency, however if you have the discipline to take a med without taking 5 a day (I do) you should be fine.

most of the advice comes from first hand experience which I understand and I am not recommending anyone take it, but if you're like me and you need it, that's up to you. Basically the title is my question. I was on 5mg every night for the past 4 months because a horrible sleep therapist thought it was a good idea even though I was sent to her to QUIT ambien, she made me more reliant on it. So I quit her. And now I’ve quit ambien cold Turkey. It’s been 4/5 days. I still cannot sleep. The rebound insomnia is so bad. It could also be my new adhd med Qelbree contributing but please let me know any of your experiences or advice thank you so much!

I go to the local mage to pick up a strange solidified elixir. The mage will only provide such an elixir if I can prove my worthiness of their sorcery.
