Waiting for my crystal shell to come in from the UK but I have all the needed components for the upgrade, 40 pin 80 wire cable, startech adapters, 2tb hdd, 256mb flash drives, mech assault, etc. watched Mr Mario’s video last night and it seems I can just install Rocky perfectly fine after already having Insignia ? So i bought an "modded" xbox360 for like 120. It's pretty dope but I figured it would have sum better classics like skate, all the need for speed games. I got a 60 gig flashdrive and an android phone can someone help me figure out how to download games using my phone put them on the flashdrive and add them the the xbox library I have no clue what im doing im using a android file manager and a iso to xex converter app I got one game downloaded no cover art or anything but when I try to load the file it says disc unreadable what am I doing wrong? I have an Xbox 360 E. It didn't come with an internal HDD, so I've always used a 16 GB USB drive for profiles and some save data, plus a 1 TB external drive for my games. The console is RGH-modded, and I used to buy games from the person who installed the RGH 5.0 setup, but later I started downloading and installing them myself. According to my NAND information, it's a Corona 16 MB, Glitch2, running Dashboard 17559 and DashLaunch 3.21.

I think there's one important detail that might be relevant: this Xbox has never been able to read original retail discs. I always thought that was strange, but since I only used digital backups, I never paid much attention to it. I'm mentioning it just in case it matters.

I really need some help.

After not using the console for quite a while, I decided to install some new games. Everything seemed fine, but I came across ABadUpdate's Xploit. From what I read (including from the person who made the tutorial), it was supposed to be safe even if the console already had RGH installed. I followed all the steps, and I even got as far as setting up an xbGuard server.

After that, things went wrong.

When I turned the console back on, profile ABadAvatar never showed up, and the usual chain animation from this Xploit never appeared. Any GOD game I tried to launch immediately failed with "Fatal Crash Intercepted."

I tried several times without success. Eventually I formatted the drive, started over from scratch using different files, and this time ABadAvatar profile finally showed up — but the chain animation still never appeared. At that point I figured I didn't really need it, so I removed everything related to ABadUpdate, reformatted my drives again, and started fresh.

Since I hadn't played on my Xbox for a long time, most of my games had always been downloaded as ISO files and converted using Iso2God, and they had always worked perfectly.

However, after removing all the ABadUpdate-related files, I realized no newly added game would launch anymore.

Here's what I tried:

Installing games as GOD format.
Running .xex files directly.
Launching them through Aurora with the correct scan paths.
Launching them directly from XeXMenu.

The console detects every game correctly, but they all behave the same way. They reach their initial loading or splash screens, then I get “Fatal Crash Intercepted”, and they exit.

Thinking DashLaunch or one of its plugins might be causing the problem, I completely removed DashLaunch. After that, instead of getting Fatal Crash Intercepted, the console would either freeze or shut itself off when trying to launch those same games.

The strange part is that everything else works perfectly:

Aurora boots normally.
DashLaunch boots normally (when installed).
XeLL works perfectly.
The official Xbox Dashboard loads without any issues.

The only games that still work are the ones that came on the RGH 5.0 DVDs I bought years ago. Any game I’ve added myself since then—whether GOD or XEX—fails.

At this point I’m starting to wonder if trying ABadUpdate somehow corrupted my NAND, but I honestly don’t know if that’s even possible or what I should do next.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any idea what might be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm extremely confused and could do with some guidance. I'm looking at using my Pico board to pass input to my Xbox and I know that I need to use an adapter such as magic-x (which I purchased). I cannot find a source with guidance on how to connect it, some say I need to solder a second usb port, some don't. The whole project involves taking rotary encoder signals and using the Pico to use these as input but I'm focusing getting it connect to my Xbox series X before anything else. Anyone done this before?

I’ve just modded my 3ds and I’m really happy with it so I’m planning on modding my Xbox too, any tips and recommendations for everything from guides to games or additional storage.

This is reference to the original Xbox. Me and my friend bought a second hand copy of Battlefront two and it shows a weird image when starting the game, before the credits and start screen. He says that it would require a dev kit to put this on the game disc. We are also playing on a modded Xbox. Anyone know anything about this or had a similar experience?

Is there any known issues with certain SSDs on the OG Xbox? I have a hardmodded xbox using the startech ide to sata adapter and an 80 wire ide cable. The ssd I popped in there was a cheap patriot 2TB I got last year on Amazon when it was cheap. I recall it being fairly fast at first, but I've started using it recently and it's extremely slow to load games.

Example, Halo 2 from launch to Main Menu is about 3-5 minutes. Loading into a save file is another 2-3 minute wait. Something seems off for sure. I forced udma 5 for max speeds but still getting extremely slow loading. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys I haven't been in here in a minute but I need some help. I've had this original Xbox (1.6) that i did a hdmi mod complete recap and reshell and I went to do the ram upgrade and I (fd the pooch) I've been trying to troubleshoot but I can't seem to figure it out.
I was wondering if anyone knows anyone or is capable of taking it in and getting it back in working order with the ram chips upgraded id be insanely grateful and pay for service etc please let me know and help me restore my baby 🥺🤙🏼

I have seen a few people online talk about how easy it is to soft mod now so I decided to give it a shot. Please forgive me if my terminolody is incorrect as I am new to the moding of console world.

Ran into an issue at 3 min 7 seconds in guide where it says to download the required files.

I got all the files but the BadAvitar one and this is the link that was provided in video.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I don't see where I download the payload.

I created the USB and got it working but using the BadUpdate method with Rock Band not the Avitar exploit.

at 7 min 15 seconds in the vid he shows how to switch it to Bad Avitar from BadUpdate but without the new payload I am not sure what to do?

i recently found myself with a surplus of RP Pico's and i found out about the Modxo "Modchip". I went ahead and built myself a little board with (hopefully) the right resistors and i installed the "modxo official" firmware onto the board. I soldered some pins to the LPC header and i hooked everything up with pluggable cables. Unfortunately, when the Pico is powered and i start the console, it just gives me 2 restarts and then a flashing red/green light on the power button. I checked multiple times, if i hooked up everything correctly. Looks like my Xbox is 1.1-1.5. I used a multimeter to check for most of the connections and they seem fine.
Any suggestions?
