News Man accused of destroying Flock cameras goes viral: ‘Couldn’t be him’
Jackson is suspected of stealing and damaging multiple Flock Safety Automated License Plate Reader cameras in the Morgantown area on June 26, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office. WBOY reports he was arraigned in Monongalia County on Thursday and pleaded not guilty to both charges.
When WDTV shared a story about his arrest, the local TV station’s Facebook post went viral with tens of thousands of shares, likes and comments supporting Jackson. Many even claimed to offer an alibi.
“He was with me that day, you got the wrong guy,” one Facebook user said.
“He was saving my neighbors dog from a fire all day couldn’t be him,” another wrote.
“Free my boy he ain’t do it, we were playing halo 2 at the specified time,” a third claimed.
“This can’t be the guy, we were both on the operating table together at the time . He gave me a kidney. I’ll vouch for him,” a fourth said.
“That man is innocent. I saw him serving at a soup kitchen at the time of the incident,” a fifth wrote.
“Couldn’t have been him - we were out counting blades of grass in the field whenever you say he did this,” a sixth suggested.

well that’s over.
That’s storm was something! I pray that everyone is ok, safe, and rescued! Prayers for Upsher County and Lewis County! After the storm. We got a mess to clean up that we don’t want to do. But we do it to help people. During the 2nd Storm in Harrison County. In my area. Around 5:15-5:30 I started to see something green. And I noticed. The sky is green. Normally a tornado or hurricane would happen when the sky is green. I hope everyone is safe in St. Mary’s to Upsher County through the mountains. Do something good for those who are hurt. Who doesn’t have a home. I hope we don’t get this again.

Question The Little Kanawha River Trail
While researching North Bend Rail-Trail | West Virginia Rails To Trails https://wvrailtrails.org/rail_trail/north-bend-rail-trail/ I stumbled across The Little Kanawha River Trail https://lkrtrail.com/home-3188-4299
Having grown up in South Parkersburg during the 50's & 60's finding a Trail where I spent so much of my youth immediately struck a cord. Time spent swimming and picnicking at the Leachtown Locks https://www.newsandsentinel.com/news/community-news/2025/05/waterways-little-kanawha-river-once-filled-big-transportation-need/ brought back the memories.
The Little Kanawha River Trail website seems to be lacking function. Are there any places where more information can be found.

Podcast re: WV government
I’m looking for people to interview for a podcast about events that happened in West Virginia about twenty years ago (Gov. Bob Wise administration). I’ve released five episodes so far, I’m afraid if I list the title it might break guidelines for self promotion. Maybe a mod can advise? I don’t want to break rules.
What happened was a company called Sequelle got federal and state money for a broadband project, which never did what it promised, basically just transferred money to shell companies in Ohio. Sequelle went under and the woman at the center of it, Heidi Laughery, was convicted of conspiracy to commit money laundering and narrowly avoided prison.
I’ve made two trips to WV this year to dig through records and interview people. If you know something or would be willing to be interviewed, please reach out.
