Her name tag bumps against it when she runs.

I am an art and design student currently working on a visual atlas exploring human memory and our emotional attachment to everyday objects (childhood toys, lucky charms, heirlooms, lost/broken items...).

The idea is to dissect how we remember things: tracing where these objects came from and where they traveled with you, measuring their sentimental value vs. their mass-produced origin, and documenting the physical wear-and-tear or missing details that fade in our minds over time.

Your answers will be used as the raw material for a series of hand-drawn maps, diagrams, and artwork.

My boyfriend was given this doll when he was born (2002) and took it everywhere with him for the longest time, and it has since been kept safe in a glass case with his action figures. I decided to surprise him one day with an identical one I was able to hunt down. They now sit together in that case. Here they are side by side.

The AE-1200WH on the right has been on my wrist every single day for the last 8 years! It started taking in a little moisture about 2 years ago but it cleared up every time.

This weekend I got careless and had it on in the hot tub, it took on water and the screen pretty much died (though it still shows parts of numbers)

So now the replacement that I’ve had in a drawer for the last 2 years gets to see the light of day.

This is my wallet. Works wonders. It should last atleast another decade.

I got this wallet in elementary school and this year I graduated from high school. It served me well, and I will use it for more years to come.

Original grip broke off some five years ago. Burn marks from when it got left in a hot pan on a stove that got forgotten to be turned off. Still the favorite tool to turn pan-fried potatoes.
