I made Star Hop (star-hop.app) — a minimal, momentum-based space slingshot daily challenge game!

Upvotes

Hey r/webgames!

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been building Star Hop (https://star-hop.app) — a browser-based arcade game where you launch a probe across planetary orbits using real gravitational physics, black holes, pulsars, and slingshots.

Features:

  • 🌌 Daily Global Challenge: Every day generates a unique galaxy seed with global leaderboards & 3 ghost racers.
  • 💫 Realistic Gravity Anomalies: Sling around ice planets, avoid event horizons of black holes, and hit pulsar impulse boosts!
  • 🛡️ Upgrades & Artifacts: Earn Star Dust to unlock Solar Shields, Gravity Magnets, and Custom Ship Trails.
  • 📱 Full Mobile Support: Works smoothly in portrait orientation on your phone browser.

No ads, no paywalls — play instantly in your browser at https://star-hop.app!

I’d love to hear your feedback and high scores!

Hello, I am developing my own text-based RPG. In the game, you experience the aftermath of the village raid that befalls the character you name, and you select your own road with your choices. I plan to release the game this month; if you want more information about game, here is the game page: https://7000games.itch.io/the-written-book-rpg

Sheep Dog — Get the flock home!

Hi. I'm a dog. My human trusts me to gather the flock, but I need more humans to help.

Every day, same thing: sheep wandering around, NOT in the pen. My job: get the flock home. You pick the dog—Border Collie (fast & precise), Corgi (loud & pushy), or Bulldog (slow & steady)—and herd the flock into the pen across 40 levels and 4 worlds.

A few things worth knowing:

  • There's a chargeable bark—quick tap is wide/short, holding up to a second charges a narrow, long-range bark. Short cooldown.
  • Watch out for the cliffs! They are one-way. If a sheep goes down, it can't climb back up, and you have to herd it all the way around. Gotta be careful.
  • Wolves show up and scatter the flock. Bark at them. Each dog's bark counters them differently.
  • A UFO occasionally appears, borrows one sheep for a short joyride, and sets it back down somewhere else. It has never kept one. We think it's studying the wool.

It's not really about winning. It's about being a good dog and finding the easter eggs.

My human (the dev, Trent) will be hanging out in the comments. Honest feedback welcome.

— Good dog 🐾

Looking for feedback on a real-estate economy simulator I've been following

I've been spending some time with a project called Cityflow, a browser-based economy and real-estate simulation game.

The concept is centered around buying properties, growing a portfolio, reacting to market conditions, and competing in a persistent economy.

What caught my attention is that it focuses more on long-term strategy and wealth building than fast-paced gameplay.

I'm curious what people here think about this type of game.

  • What features would you expect from a real-estate simulator?
  • Would you prefer realistic economics or more game-like mechanics?
  • What usually keeps you engaged in management and simulation games?

I'm interested in hearing honest opinions about the concept and where you think games in this genre often succeed or fail.

Counter Climb

I’m testing a browser game I’ve been building called Counter Climb. It’s a number-go-up / idle game with gold, banks, cards, and leaderboards. I only need a few people to try it and tell me what feels confusing or broken. It works in a browser, no download.

[Game] I made a Minesweeper x RPG web game and I'm looking for honest playtesters

Hi everyone. I'm a solo hobbyist developer, not from the games industry. I built this small browser game in my spare time as a learning project, and before I put more work into it I'd really like some honest feedback from real players.

What it is: a light, cute RPG where you explore the map using a Minesweeper-style tile-flipping mechanic (reveal tiles to find coins, energy, keys and slimes), and combat works like the fishing timing mini-game in farming games, where you tap to stop a moving cursor at the right spot. It runs in your browser, it's free, and there's no signup. One run only takes a few minutes. There's an EN/中文 toggle in the top-right corner.

Link: https://minesweeper-coin-game.kylelo.io/

If you have a few minutes, I'd genuinely appreciate blunt feedback on three things:

  • Does flipping the map feel relaxing, or does it feel boring?
  • Is the combat timing a fun challenge, or just frustrating?
  • Where, if anywhere, did you stop playing?

Please don't be polite for my sake. I'd much rather hear what's broken or unclear right now while it's still early. Thank you for taking the time.

Undersung.app

Hi everyone!

My incredible husband created a game in his free time (because doesn't have too much free time when they parent 2 toddlers 💁🏻‍♀️). It's called Undersung (https://undersung.app) and it's like wordle but for songs. Basically you get one word everyday, and you have to find a song with that word in the lyrics. The fewer monthly listenings the song has, the more points. If the words are in the title, you only get half the points. You can play in French, English or Spanish. You have achievements to unlock. There's a practice tab to build your skill (although I still suck at it). Did I mention how incredible my husband is ?

He's looking for more players to give him feedback (there's a button at the bottom of the page to do it). Also maybe make us rich 🤷🏻‍♀️

Please check it out, it's really fun and there's already 10 of us playing !

Made a free browser gaming platform because I was tired of "free" games asking for downloads, permissions, and my email

Been building this for the past few months — VPlay.games.

No download, no sign-up wall, no "create an account to continue."

You click a game, it loads, you play.

Started with a handful of games, now sitting at 250+. Mix of puzzle,

arcade, action, casual stuff. Built it because I kept getting annoyed

downloading a 2GB "casual game" just to try it for five minutes.

Not trying to sell anything — it's free, no ads blocking gameplay,

no paywalls. Genuinely just want people to try it and tell me what's

missing or what sucks about it.

https://vplay.games/

Happy to answer questions about how it's built too, if anyone's curious.

I made a yarn-sorting factory game solo — would love some honest feedback

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone,
I just launched Yarn Sort Factory, a small web game I built solo. It’s a mix of a color-sorting puzzle and a tiny factory management loop — sort yarn spools by color to keep a knitting machine fed, then use what you earn to upgrade suppliers and grow your workshop.
It’s free to play in the browser, no download needed:
https://knitudio.com/games/yarn-sort/
This is a brand new release, so I’m mainly here for feedback rather than just dropping a link. A few things I’d genuinely love to hear:
• Does the core sorting mechanic feel satisfying, or does it get repetitive too fast?
• Is the economy/upgrade pacing clear, or confusing at first?
• Any bugs, lag, or weird behavior on your device?
Happy to answer questions about how it’s built too. Thanks for taking a look!

Mini Racer - Daily Racing Game

I made a 2D racing game with a new track each day. While initially I made it for the browser, I have since then ported it to Reddit so it can be played in both the browser and in Reddit's mobile app.

Have a go at it if you like challenging racing games!

Vibe Tanks: 1v1 neon tank duel, dual-stick touch, runs on a decade of phones. No install, no account.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

OMGCluck pointed me here from another thread, so a shout-out to them for the nudge.

Vibe Tanks is a top-down 1v1 duel. Drive with the left stick, aim and fire with the right, dodge missiles, pop shields, grab pickups. You against an AI or a friend on the same device. The whole thing is one HTML file, loads in about a second, and I built it around running on a ten-year-old Android, so it should be smooth on whatever you're holding.

Free, no login, no ads. Global leaderboard if you want to chase the HARD record.

AI wrote the code, I directed and tested every build. What I'd most like from this crowd: how do the touch sticks feel on your phone? That's the one thing I can't test across enough devices, so real mobile feedback is gold.

Updated my puzzle game a lot based on feedback — would love to hear what you think now. https://knitudio.com/

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone,
I’m posting an updated version of my puzzle game and would really love some honest feedback on how it feels in its current state.
I shared an earlier version before, and the feedback I got was genuinely useful. A lot of the changes I made came directly from comments people left, so I wanted to come back and share the new version now that it’s in a much better place.
You can play it here: https://knitudio.com/
At this point I’m mostly trying to figure out what still isn’t working — whether that’s the core gameplay loop, difficulty, pacing, clarity, visual feel, or just the overall fun factor.
So if you try it, I’d really love to know things like:
what your first impression was
whether it hooked you or lost you quickly
if the difficulty feels fair or frustrating
what feels weak / unpolished / confusing
and whether the core idea feels worth pushing further
No need to sugarcoat anything — honest criticism is exactly what I’m looking for. The previous round of feedback genuinely helped improve the game a lot, so I’d really appreciate any thoughts on this version too.
Thanks a lot to anyone who gives it a shot.
