Hello! I just bought my first pair of closed toe wakeboard bindings. I ended up buying the Liquid Force Classic 6X 2025 in a size 6-8. I wear a women’s 7.5-8 in my normal shoes so that size should be perfectly fine.

I got them in the mail today and after putting them on, they seem very small. My big toe is touching the end of the boot. Is this normal for new bindings? Will they loosen/expand once used or do bindings run small? The next size up is a 8-9 in the bindings which would translate to a women’s 9.5-10.5.

I am very new to wakeboarding so any tips/advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

So I want to start progressing more, because I kinda got stuck with fear last year trying a tantrum and knee kicking my eyebrow wide open

I thought about a 360 from the kicker, but I wonder which is easier, the backside or frontside

On the slider and water I just go backside, because when I was learning I was very uncomfy with being in switch and rotating into switch and then into the back from it felt weird to me (I ride goofy). But as I tried frontside just like at home on the ground trying the movement it seems like it is easier to pass the handle and in the sky it might not have the problems I have with turning into back from switch for me

Do you think I should just try pushing with the backside 360 or slowly try the frontside on water and then slider and try that for the kicker?

I grew up on an inboard/outboard w a tower and really enjoyed wakeboarding and wake skating. Have only wakesurfed once on a buddies boat it was cool. We’re finally ready for a boat here in Tennessee. I for some reason always liked malibu and plan to look at this boat Friday w a lake test. Any advice or thoughts as a first inboard purchase? Or is this too much boat? He will take 47 for boat and trailer (had listed for 50 dropped over time from 62). 330 hours or so. Needs sun pad reupholstered I got quoted 650. Also he has service records. Thanks for any advice!

Looking to buy a gently used moomba (mojo or makai) here soon and everything I’ve read says the factory underwater lights are terrible. I’m in Louisiana so our water ain’t clear at all and wanted to see if anybody has upgraded their lights and did it make much difference.

Hey everyone!

I'm in my second season of wakeboarding and have gotten a lot more comfortable just riding. I'm ready to start learning some basic tricks.

For context, I've snowboarded and skateboarded for over 20 years, so I'm comfortable with board control, edging, and spinning on a board. The part I'm unsure about is how the fins on a wakeboard change things.

Our boat is a 30-year-old, 19' bowrider with no tower, so it throws a pretty terrible wake. Because of that, my plan this season is to focus mostly on flatwater tricks (180s, surface spins, butters, etc.) and maybe a few basic tricks off our tiny wake.

With that in mind:

• Should I keep the fins on, switch to smaller fins, or remove them altogether if my goal is learning flatwater spins? Does my extensive snowboarding experience make any difference?
• Will removing the fins make learning surface tricks significantly easier, or will it just make everything else harder?

Bonus question: Given my boat/setup, should I still follow the typical recommendations for rope length and boat speed, or would you adjust those to get the best possible wake out of a small bowrider?

Any advice from people who learned behind smaller boats would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My previous experience: I have wakeboarded /wake surfed maybe 20 or so times in my life on friends boats, rentals, and at 2 different tow parks. With a snow and skate background since I was young and a good teacher/boat driver I got up successfully wakeboarding my first ever attempt at age 12 or so and nearly every time since.

Recent experience: picked up this wakeboard as well as a hyperlite broadcast wake surf on Facebook marketplace.I was excited to play with the fam on a rental boat nearby us at Beaver lake in Arkansas. I got on the surf first. Popped up relatively easy while my brother figured out how to pull me. Got a handful of turns in

After the fam had a bunch of spins on the surf I thought about the wakeboard and got out there. I could not get up. When the boat pulled it seems the bindings were maybe so loose I couldn't keep the toe edge up no matter how hard I tried. I felt water pulled in between my feet and the board and I got pulled forward choking and finally having the grip painfully ripped from my hands. I have this a handful of tries before giving up.

Has anyone experienced this?

Are the bindings just too big for me?

Hey i’m trying a toe side back roll and have a few issues i can get it all the way around but can’t clear the wake or get enough height. I can clear wake to wake just fine but have an issue when i have to flip. (My form probably sucks its my 3rd time ever riding I come from a very strong park snowboarding background)

very random question but out of all the wakeboats you have been in which one would u say had the best sounding motor? ik there all v8s and sound very similar but i remember my family friend had a nautique 226 with the pcm 409 and man did that thing sound good especially when you first started it up. i remember thinking when im old enough to afford a wakeboard boat i want it to sound exactly like this lol

Just finished another upside down wake session. Had a custom binding manufactures to mount my head to the board and I am starting to get the hang of it. All I wanna do is be features in a redbull video. If yall know anyone, please help a brother out.

Anyone have “or ride behind” an MB boat on here and if so how is it overall? Reason I’m asking is that I saw a video recently from Boardco where the guy Mitch was bashing on the brand from every angle. I know this is predominantly a west coast brand however which may come into play.

I personally love the look of the new models and most of the movie Scumline was filmed behind one. Wakeboard wake looks great!

Hey everyone, I'm looking to start a wake club in my local area and I wanted to see if anyone here has any advice or feedback.

One of my biggest pet peeve with wake sports is unless you already have a boat/gear, or know people willing to let you use them, getting on the water is often prohibitively expensive.

Cable parks are a bit different, and I wish I had one near me.

With that said I'm looking into what can and can't be done, and haven't found many examples so far. I see a lot of charter type rentals/sessions typically ranging from $250-$350/hr which is understandable but also not ideal is you don't have others to go in on the charter w/ you.

So what am I trying to do? Currently looking into 2 directions

1. A funded Club operating w/ it's own equipment: boat, gear, etc.

With higher annual dues to pay for operations and equipment.

Pros:

+beginner friendly (no commitment to gear or boat)

+newer boats gear (recurring cycle)

+scheduled and consistent boat availability

+also has Social Club features

+volunteer drivers, i.e. no searching for a tow (members certified by club)

Cons:

-Requires many members and fairly expensive annual dues to maintain operating costs

-liability/insurance costs

-legal gray areas with USCG that need clarification on drivers/OUPV classification

1. Social Club based on a private forum/portal for local members to request rides, or volunteer seats on a personally owned boat.

Pros:

+little cost to set up, tiny annual dues to keep website running and do events

Cons:

-completely dependent on boat owners wanting to bring strangers onto their boat

-basically the same a a Facebook group, which isn't very active/helpful for my local area.

-harder for new riders to get started

I'd love to hear your feedback, especially those with boats already.

Which system would you lean towards and why?

If you already have a boat, would a Club running a premium wake boat (like a G23 or similar model) be something you would be interested in anyway? (Guaranteed Driver)

As an owner would you be willing to take strangers/members on your boat?

Nothing is guaranteed to work, I have a lot of work to line everything up so it may be a while till I get anything firm.

I'm in Victoria, BC, which obviously has cold water.

I went wakeboarding two days ago. I wore a wetsuit, but without the hoodie attachment, so some cold water did get in up top. Goes without saying that water was cold.

About 12 to 18 hours after the session, I started to feel extreme tightness and sharp pain down my neck, very upper spine, and especially the right shoulder and shoulder blades. The next day it really hurt. There was less mobility, and I'd feel sharp pain.

The next day after that, I woke up, and it was really painful. I had to jump into a hot shower first thing. It was quite sore last night. Restricted mobility.

Is this a common injury when people start in cold water with potentially less than perfect form?

Is the simple fix just going to a physio and heating things up?

Is this a common injury for cold water wakeboarding?

Any advice would be really helpful. This sucks.

I feel like I'm still very inconsistent ride to ride when doing toe side. I'm getting better but I still can't seem to fix the leaning towards the wake nd potentially my handle placement. Is keeping my back hand stretched out part of my problem?

Honest question. I’m trying to buy a used wakeboard and it’s completely consistent that not a single seller puts the size of the board or bindings in the ad. I’m left trying to scavenge for details in the [usually blurry] photos which inevitably just ends in frustration so I have to message the ad to find out details. Then Chad finally replies 4 days later to tell me both the board and bindings are not even close to the right size and I’m back to the drawing board and he’s no closer to selling the damn thing.

Are you all tarded or what? Just put the info in the ad.

And yea, I do realize the irony in me trying to join said community.

I really want to buy a comp vest but my dad really want me to get a cga vest and I want to know if there’s any sort of cga comp vest. Sounds simple but not at the same time and I can’t really find anything online

The only types of bindings I can find on Google are ones with boots, I'm trying to find a replacement part for the other binding I don't know what this is called to search for. If it helps it says Hyperlite Airshock on them. I got this off Facebook marketplace a while ago so I don't know much about it.
