look i did warn u this one is kinda stupid. im not super super knowledgeable on volcanology, my area is ecology & evolution. but i was thinking about climate change, and that volcanos have historically plunged the earth into colder temps, like 1817, and im wondering if we got truly desperate enough, could we set off a volcano to lower temps, knowing the cost/damage?

I just think its the lesser of two evils. Everyone dies, or a lot of people die. And everyone isnt just humans. plants. animals. everything. or a lot of everything dies but not everything. id choose the volcano any day. if part of the problem with climate change is the heat spiral feedback loop of death, like an out of control fever for earth, you have to break that fever somehow, right? i learned somewhere that dropping things into volcanoes can be far more volatile than just melting into the volcano. That makes me wonder how percarious some are, and if theyre sensitive enough for us to trigger them.

In the meantime ill continue assuming the government and humanity will do nothing about any of it and just keep brainstorming shit we could do to fix it. and guerilla garden like mad. having to hope for regular famine instead of extinction really is a kick in the head.
