Question Final Official Documents Status on Applicant Portal Still Shows Awaiting

I am a Saskatchewan student who received the offer to the first year UofT Art & Sci computer science program in May, and am currently trying to submit my high school graduation certificate and transcript to the University of Toronto.

I used MyCreds to submit and send my information, since that is what my school counselor and my senior recommended me to do, and it is actually the only way I can access my official transcript. However, ever since I shared my information on MyCreds on 8 Jul 2026, there has been no change on my final official documents status on the applicant portal regarding whether UofT has received all of my information, or it’s under review, or something is missing/wrong.

I called the UofT undergrad application office early last week, and the staff claims that my application is still pending to be reviewed. Now it’s been another week, the deadline is July 31, and this extra long time of waiting has raised my concern.

It is really odd, since on the undergrad admission page it shows this:

But on the specific program admission page, it shows this:

So plz help me to solve my confusion and concern gng, can someone please tell me what is going on??? 😭

Courses Looking for notes of STAB52H3 to help prepare for Fall sem

Hello!

I am going to be taking Stab52 for fall and Ive seen many people say it’s quite a difficult course.
I was hoping if anyone could share notes of this course from previous semesters if they have taken the class so that I could maybe use them and prepare during August to better help tackle the class.
It would be really appreciated if anyone could help me out on this!
Thank you for reading and have a great day!

Programs Master’s of Physiology Lifestyle/General Advice + tips

Hi all! I’m a new grad student at UofT entering an MSc Physiology program. I was hoping to maybe connect with some classmates on here as well as ask some previous or current students how the lifestyle is. I was hoping to maybe tutor, get involved in intramurals, or have some time to myself other than weekends but just wanted to see what the realistic experience is like. Thanks!!!

Question Really nervous Can I get an opinion of my timetable? Full time worker with full time schedule

Post image

3 classes are online. My full-time work is hybrid, so I don't go in office much. First year student after being out of school for a long time, did academic bridging program ended up with an A so I feel good. Just want to make sure I am not setting myself up for failure. I am also a mom so I made sure most of my classes finish by 3. With the exception of the online courses and one course.

Residence Looking for UofT students to rent a place together for Fall 2026

Hi everyone,

I’m a young professional starting a new job in downtown Toronto soon, and I’m looking for one or two responsible U of T students arriving for Fall 2026 who would be interested in renting a place together.

I’m hoping we can search for a suitable two- or three-bedroom condo together on Realtor.ca or Condos.ca, rather than joining an existing random roommate arrangement. If you already have a place and are looking for a roommate, feel free to message me as well.

I’m clean, quiet, respectful, and easy to live with. I’m looking for roommates who are similarly clean, responsible, and considerate. Ideally, we would find somewhere with a convenient commute to both U of T and downtown.

Feel free to message me with a little information about yourself, your budget, preferred move-in date, and the areas you’re considering.

Summer School Is it worth it to drop a summer course now to preserve GPA even though I lose $600?

I am currently taking ENG100 while doing PSL301 and working in a lab full time. I realized that I am perhaps spreading myself too thin, and I didn't do so good on the first English assignment because I just didn't have the time. I am down 6% overall so my max possible grade is now a 94%. My next English assignment (worth 30%) is coming up next week but I feel like it will be a repeat of my current situation where I won't have enough time to do well. Just for context, I am a lifesci student and I am just taking eng100 for breadth (which I absolutely loathe). Should I just tank the financial loss of $600 and drop the course to preserve my GPA, or should I tough it out?

Programs Tricky situation for program requirement, can the dean make a decision

I asked my department for a substitution or equivalency for one course in lieu for a required course for my program under compassionate grounds (complicated situation) and i wanted to graduate this Fall. They said they never do a waiver--but they didn't address the substitution request. If i take the case to the dean's office (i know i can't directly email the dean), would they consider my case and potentially provide any solution? Can i email someone? should i go in person to speak to someone? i also tried a petition with the registrar and it was just cancelled cuz its "non-petitionable" this was a long process and i contacted the ombusperson office as well but they told me to wait till my petition gets answered and for when the department gets back to me (the department just got back to me today). this process of figuring this out has taken all summer so i am panicking right now as its urgent :( no might mean no from my department, but again im concerned my specific request was not considered. and if they meant no to the substitution anyway, it honestly feels a bit unfair and super procedural. i'm not sure if anything can happen even if the ombudsperson may turn out to agree that its not fair

any advice is really appreciated. this is high-stakes because I already have post-grad offers which i will lose if i am unable to graduate this Fall

Question Info on university college as I’m trying to plan my dorm

I got into university college and selected Whitney hall single room as my top choice (then single room from the other two before going to double) and I have heard mixed answers if the dorm has a mini fridge.

Does it? How big is it? Can I bring my own? Do I have to get rid of the one provided if I do bring my own?

Also, do I have to bring my own curtains?

How is the view from Whitney hall outside?

These seem like dumb questions but I genuinely cannot get an answer online

News Be careful of a potential scam (Boss Home Theater)

It was at the CampusOne vehicle delivery area right next to the entrance, two men in a Ford Escape honked and yelled at me to get my attention. They were wearing work uniforms/overalls and actually looked like legit installers. They were gonna install some stuff at exam centre allegedly. At first they were telling me how they had a leftover projector they wanted to get rid of. They were saying it was worth around $15,000 and wanted me to help them sell it so we could split the profit, because otherwise their boss would sell it and keep the money. They also claimed they had another projector that and student offered a 8000 CAD deposit last time and they all made a lot of money.

Don’t bash me for this but I was initially intrigued, they weren’t asking for a deposit so I was genuinely curious. They showed me the warranty and paperwork, as well as the projector itself, that they unboxed saying it’s brand new and that they were willing to plug it in etc. But when they started to ask for a collateral and started pushing very hard, giving me pressure and even when I said there was no way to verify this, they wanted to show me how much it’s worth I said that I understand that but still, and one of the dudes got irritated and told me that I was making excuses. Regardless I said I couldn’t help and left. I checked on Reddit, and on [r/Markham](r/Markham) there seemed to be a similar thing that happened with the same name “boss home theater”and they were from Newmarket apparently. Just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone encounters this or something similar. Also feel free to discuss if anyone had an experience like this, whether with the same group or not.

Courses Advice for my schedule (first year life science student)

Hey guys,

I just finished my course selection, and it looks like these are the classes I might take. There were some electives that would have been my first choice, but unfortunately, they were full. I am considering joining a waitlist, but it might not be worth it.

I'll appreciate any advice on study techniques for the classes I'm taking, experiences you've had with the classes I'm taking and any other vital information to get a GPA between 3.8-3.9.

Thanks!

Finances OSAP Disability Verification and Adjust Living Allowance Past Deadline

Has anyone tried applying for disability verification or request review: adjust living allowing past the deadline?

I applied for 2026-2027 adjust living allowance was denied. Only to realized that it would have been a better if applied for 2025-2026. I got serious injury in my arm in May 1st although I was able till get Surgery for quick recovery, I still am unable to work for the whole summer. This option should have come to my mind quicker.

Is still worth calling my financial aid office? about this?

Question What are the best ways to study for ANT100, PSY100, SOC100?

Hi I’m an incoming first year student and I’ve heard that studying in uni should be different than how you study in high school.

How did you, if you took any of these courses, study? And from which study methods did you see the best outcomes?

I am aiming for a high GPA so I need to work on my study methods over the summer.

Thank you!

I got assigned to chestnut, and already paid my two deposits. Will it be possible to switch to another, cheaper residence at this point, or am I stuck in Chestnut?

Thank you for your help.

Question Tcard question (wordcountwordcountwordcountwordcount)

quick question

I submitted my photo with the Tcard and tbh, I am not the biggest fan of it.

I was wondering if the photo will only be used for the card or if it will be blared everywhere I go? Like for example, when I scan for the library, will that photo show up in a screen?

I know this is so nitpicky but please entertain my anxiety 😢😢

Question Tote bag or backpack better for classesssssssssss

I honestly don’t mind getting both, I was kinda thinking of doing that. I was just wondering everyone’s thoughts. I think having two back to back classes would call for a backpack to fit for stuff and be easier to carry bc the weight, but if I was just heading somewhere study or only needed my MacBook, a tote would be better.

I also live in a small town and I don’t really know how high mugging rates are in Toronto 😂
