Questions & Doubts Cannot find/download net e-certificate

Hello everyone. I cleared net english in 2023 but I cannot find the portal to download the e-certificate again. I can only download e-certificates from 2019-2022.

Moreover, I cleared jrf in december 2024 but when I scan the qr code on my e-certificate, it takes me to a blue webpage that says the container is missing or something. Is anyone else facing this problem?

Discussion Has anyone else stopped telling people they're preparing for UGC NET?

I used to tell people I was preparing for UGC NET whenever they asked what I was doing. Over time, I just stopped mentioning it.

It is not because I am embarrassed. It is just that the conversation almost always ends up being the same. People ask when the exam is, whether I have qualified yet, or when I will finally get a job. After answering those questions again and again, it starts to feel exhausting.

Now I usually keep it to myself unless someone asks directly.

Has anyone else started doing this too, or is it just me?

Discussion How are you balancing UGC NET preparation with work or college?

I'm preparing for UGC NET while managing other responsibilities, and some days it feels really hard to stay consistent. Between lectures, assignments, work, and revision, I often wonder how others are doing it.

If you're also preparing alongside a job or college, what's your daily routine like? Any study strategies, time management tips, or mistakes you've learned from that could help a fellow aspirant?

Preparation Strategy Cleared ugc NET paper 1 (62/100) sharing the resources and strategy that worked for me

Cleared UGC NET June 2025 (Paper 1: 62/100). Sharing resources since I see the same questions every cycle and I had to piece things together myself. For Paper 1, the Testbook UGC NET material was the most useful thing I found for Research Methodology and Teaching Aptitude two sections I was consistently dropping marks in. The question bank is large, the explanations are clear, and you can filter by topic which helps when you're doing targeted revision rather than full-length tests. Communication and Logical Reasoning I handled with their free mock tests available on the platform. Didn't pay for the full course, just used what was accessible. If you're on a tight budget, that alone covers a lot of ground. Happy to share my section-wise breakdown if it helps anyone planning their Paper 1 strategy.

Discussion NTA is ruining the youth (ugc net leak news)

I'm new to ugc net but i know NTA too well (gave cuet twice) now i see that they've been ruining every exam, be it NEET CUET or UGC NET and nobody is able to change this. I'm doing BA French+english from DU and I've to decide my career line afterwards, i decided to proceed with ugc net in French cuz i want to be a language teacher at universities and even aim for JRF as I'm good enough at studies but seeing these leak articles is quite depressing. Idk whether to proceed with ugc net plan or not. There's no scope in corporate for humanities after just a BA and i want to go for teaching as my career but the situation of exam management in India is getting worse by the year.

Questions & Doubts Ugc net english!

I have a query regarding my admission. I have been offered admission to the M.A. in Comparative Indian Literature at the University of Delhi. Should I opt for this course?

Is this degree considered equivalent to an M.A. in English? Will I be eligible to appear for the UGC NET in English after completing this course?

Also, will choosing this course create any difficulties or limitations in my future career, especially if I want to become an Assistant Professor?

Questions & Doubts UGC NET Environmental Science

Hey! So I cleared UGC NET Env Science for asst professor with my background being in Bsc and MSc Zoology. I am confused as to how to proceed ahead. I heard CSIR NET Life Sciences is considered better for admissions and job. Also given my background in Zoology, which fields can i actually apply to for PhD?

SERIOUS POST Is UGC NET + JRF a realistic career path for someone in my situation?

I’m a BA History graduate from Mumbai and I’m trying to decide my long-term career path.

I’ve received many different suggestions over the past few months:

MBA
Public Policy
Government exams
Teaching
Research
UGC NET/JRF

I enjoy History, Political Science, International Relations and research much more than technical fields.

I have a few questions:

How competitive is UGC NET today?

Is JRF becoming harder to obtain every year?

Is academia still a realistic long-term career in India?

If someone clears NET but not JRF, what opportunities realistically exist?

Would you recommend pursuing this path today if you were starting again?

I’m looking for honest experiences from people who have actually prepared for or cleared NET/JRF, rather than general advice.
