I used to tell people I was preparing for UGC NET whenever they asked what I was doing. Over time, I just stopped mentioning it.
It is not because I am embarrassed. It is just that the conversation almost always ends up being the same. People ask when the exam is, whether I have qualified yet, or when I will finally get a job. After answering those questions again and again, it starts to feel exhausting.
Now I usually keep it to myself unless someone asks directly.
Has anyone else started doing this too, or is it just me?
Hello everyone. I cleared net english in 2023 but I cannot find the portal to download the e-certificate again. I can only download e-certificates from 2019-2022.
Moreover, I cleared jrf in december 2024 but when I scan the qr code on my e-certificate, it takes me to a blue webpage that says the container is missing or something. Is anyone else facing this problem?
I'm planing for NET with Environmental Science. I have the recent exam but found that I strongly lack the numerical part in the exam as I come from MSc background.
I have zero idea on where to start for numericals side can you anyone please provide some reference.
Saw some pyq videos on YT but they are only solving questions and not teaching on how to solve the particular numerical.
I'm preparing for UGC NET while managing other responsibilities, and some days it feels really hard to stay consistent. Between lectures, assignments, work, and revision, I often wonder how others are doing it.
If you're also preparing alongside a job or college, what's your daily routine like? Any study strategies, time management tips, or mistakes you've learned from that could help a fellow aspirant?
I've just started with it but it's so hard to find any online classes all of are paid and paid classes are 7-8k. is it worth to pay for that much or should I continue with the recommended books....which one would be best
Cleared UGC NET June 2025 (Paper 1: 62/100). Sharing resources since I see the same questions every cycle and I had to piece things together myself.
For Paper 1, the Testbook UGC NET material was the most useful thing I found for Research Methodology and Teaching Aptitude two sections I was consistently dropping marks in. The question bank is large, the explanations are clear, and you can filter by topic which helps when you're doing targeted revision rather than full-length tests.
Communication and Logical Reasoning I handled with their free mock tests available on the platform. Didn't pay for the full course, just used what was accessible. If you're on a tight budget, that alone covers a lot of ground.

I'm new to ugc net but i know NTA too well (gave cuet twice) now i see that they've been ruining every exam, be it NEET CUET or UGC NET and nobody is able to change this. I'm doing BA French+english from DU and I've to decide my career line afterwards, i decided to proceed with ugc net in French cuz i want to be a language teacher at universities and even aim for JRF as I'm good enough at studies but seeing these leak articles is quite depressing. Idk whether to proceed with ugc net plan or not. There's no scope in corporate for humanities after just a BA and i want to go for teaching as my career but the situation of exam management in India is getting worse by the year.

I have some economics books from my bachelor’s days. I don’t need them anymore, so I’d rather they end up with someone who’ll actually find them useful.
They’re in good condition overall, with normal signs of use. Some pages may have light underlining or notes, but nothing that affects readability. If some economics student could use these, feel free to DM me for photos, details, or any questions.

I have a query regarding my admission. I have been offered admission to the M.A. in Comparative Indian Literature at the University of Delhi. Should I opt for this course?
Is this degree considered equivalent to an M.A. in English? Will I be eligible to appear for the UGC NET in English after completing this course?
Also, will choosing this course create any difficulties or limitations in my future career, especially if I want to become an Assistant Professor?
