Guys idk even what yo do abt this but I saw some changes happened at my utsa and tell me why they canceled my subsided loan????? Um I actually needed that im planning to call tomorrow and I already emailed. What else should/can I do???

Last semester (Spring 2026) I was enrolled in 13 credit hours and got all A’s and had a 4.0 GPA, but for some reason I still haven’t been emailed about a certificate or a letter or anything. Is anyone else experiencing this? The spring of 2025, I made presidents list, and I got a certificate from parchment, but not this time so far.

I am a new student at UTSA. I am just wondering when the library starts job posting on handshake? I am also currently interested in "Student Assistant" but I would like to have more info on what exactly that position consists of with examples. Thank you

What does this even mean? I looked on my Financial Aid portal (picture in replies) and there’s nothing?? Only what’s highlighted in blue… Does this mean I might not receive my FAFSA or does this mean I just have to make sure my classes are a part of my degree..

Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone here may have experience with this or if they can point me in the right direction...I already emailed my academic advisor today and set up an appointment with them.

I have a remaining tuition balance because of the 30-hour excess credit limitation charge. I didn’t realize this type of charge was not going to be covered by VA education benefits, so I’m trying to figure out my options before it turns into a bigger issue.

Has anyone here dealt with this before while using specifically the ch 33 VA benefits? Were you able to get it resolved through a Contract to Graduate, 30/45 SCH Excess Fee Waiver, or another process? Or did you end up having to set up a payment plan?

Any advice or shared experience would be appreciated. Thank you.

I took this summer to try and get into shape and i have a strict routine. I go at 11pm and im out by 1 am (i go so Late because I hate crowds and im a night owl ) 5-6 days a week. Because my work schedule was very flexible I was able to find this beautiful time slot at a 24 hour gym. I want to stay consistent. Sadly, the fall semester is approaching and I can no longer stay up to 2-3 am just because . Whats the best time for the gym? When is it least crowded?

I am starting MS Cybersecurity in the fall after graduating BS Computer Science this past spring. I heard grad school is so different from undergrad, like lots of projects and research. I’m not doing my thesis but do want to get involved and network.

During undergrad, I was in computer science clubs like ACM, was in a research lab, and worked on campus as a tutor. I was looking into being a TA but I don’t know how the process works like how soon I should be reaching out to professors, if it’s too late for this semester, if it needs to be a professor you know well, if doing both TA and research is a lot, etc. I will not be working full time at first but hopefully am able to or at least have an internship next summer.

If any grad students had any advice, that would be helpful!

hey guys, im an incoming freshman here & im so confused about the parking permits.. if i buy a commuter surface permit, does that guarantee me a parking spot somewhere, or does it just let me park in those lots if I can find an open space? like am i still gonna have to drive around looking for parking every morning?

also, im confused about actually buying the permit. i saw an announcement for 26-27 permits being out but when I go into the parking portal it shows 25-26 permits. am i looking in the wrong place or am i just missing something?

I’m not here for advice on the academic dismissal itself, I’ve done tons of research and had my own medical situation that I was not smart enough to just take a break for recovery. I’ve seeked my help, rested this summer, and am now very much medicated and recovering.

Instead I’m here because I did put in my petition for reinstatement but it’s been about 5 weeks since I’ve heard anything. I saw online people say it usually takes 7-14 days but I still haven’t heard anything back. I know I’ve been notified to fill out a SAP appeal as well but I’m not sure that’s any clue into whether I’m back in. It’s for college of science if that offers any insight, but was just wondering if maybe I’m cooked or if someone knows something I don’t about reinstatement wait times. Just want to know so I can put in for more hours at work or something instead of losing out prepping for school. Any insight helps, I appreciate it greatly. Thank you

Alright, weird question. I'm graduating this Winter with my Bachelor's in a science field. I was wondering if I can return Spring semester or next fall semester to continue taking classes for ANOTHER bachelor's degree. Not a masters, and I'm not double majoring. This second degree is purely for fun and personal passion(its a arts degree) Just wondering if the school will let me continue to be a student post graduating.

How would financial aid work? Would it it apply at all or would I need to pay out of pocket?

Due to various different reasons I wasn't able to consider a double major(hence this weird round-about method) would I need to apply for it NOW to be able to do this?

I’m currently enrolled as a part-time grad student and starting a new full time job I received after graduation. I was wondering students who are enrolled in grad school or already have a masters, is it realistic to be a full time student and full time worker?
I want to complete my masters as soon as possible but I’m worried about not being able to do it full time and my job full time.

My job is paying for most of my tuition, so I’m no complaining or want to get fired by doing both full time. Advice? Should I just stay part time student and full time job? Or is doing both full time manageable?

Hi everyone! I’m an international pre-health student, and I’ve noticed that many of us struggle with finding the right information and support when it comes to things like:

• Applying to medical/health professional schools as an international student
• Finding research, shadowing, and volunteering opportunities
• Understanding CPT/OPT and other visa-related challenges
• Getting mentorship from international students who have already gone through the process
• Feeling connected to others on a similar path

I’m thinking about creating a Discord community specifically for international (F-1) pre-health students to share resources, ask questions, study together, and connect with mentors.

Would something like this be useful to you? What channels, resources, or features would you want to see in a community like this?

I’d really appreciate your thoughts before building it!

I was gonna go see it when I came to campus to look around but it was a 15 minute walk and it was waaaaay too hot
