Opening night of the real Jazz festival. The live music is everywhere and besides the usual drink in a fruit, churro truck, and corn on the cob trucks, the local businesses really get into. Today is the quietest it gets if you're looking for that.
Rooftop Outdoor Movie: School Of Rock

A park on the rooftop of the building next to Union Station. A classic comedy paired with complimentary popcorn and candy stations, bracelet-making, the whole deal. Bring something to sit on cause unless you're really early you're not getting a chair. Access via the Bay Street staircase on the West side or take the elevator up to the 4th floor.
TOPS Outdoor Movie: It Was Just An Accident

Palme d'Or-winning Iranian thriller that's genuinely masterful and oddly funny. They're also screening a 15-minute short called "perfectly a strangeness" before it. BYO blanket or chair, eats and treats available at 7pm.
Lula x Union: Marta Elena
Union Station | 5:30p
JUNO Award-winning Cuban-Canadian artist Marta Elena is taking over Union Summer in a collab with Lula Lounge. Expect lots of dancing and I hope you join in.
Underpass Park Farmers Market
Underpass Park | 4p
Weekly Thursday market with fresh produce, meat, prepared foods, and local arts and crafts. They've got live music too so it's not just a grab-and-go situation. Runs rain or shine, every Thursday through October.
