Starter collection. What am I missing, or key recommendations?
Wife and I got burnt out on our standard house margarita and decided to jump into tiki. Just getting started with this pickup of a few foundational bottles. Any gaps that could use filling or recommendations?

Bahia Sling
I picked up some Tempus Fugit Creme de Cacao recently and found this recipe when looking for ideas on how to use it. Definite tiki vibes and a fun refreshing drink.
Bahia Sling
- 1½ oz Cachaça (I used Avuá)
- 1 oz Fresh lime juice
- ¾ oz Passion fruit syrup
- ½ oz Crème de Cacao
Garnish:
- Lime wheel
- Sprig of mint
- Edible flower
Instructions:
- Add the cachaça, lime juice, passion fruit syrup, and crème de cacao to a cocktail shaker.
- Add a small scoop of crushed ice and shake briefly but vigorously.
- Strain over fresh crushed ice into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with the mint sprig, lime wheel, and edible flower.

Torpedo Juice was first mixed in World War II and made from pineapple juice and the 180-proof grain alcohol fuel used in US Navy torpedo motors. The US Navy then added poisonous additives to the fuel alcohol to discourage people. Recipe was two parts ethyl alcohol and three parts pineapple juice.

Cosmic Rum
I did not try this but enjoyed the typo
About a month ago, I had Bacardi...
Just really getting into tiki and rum, and it appears I've fallen into the rabbit hole. About a month ago I had Bacardi Superior and some bitters. Just got a shipment from K&L today with Worthy Park 109, Rum Fire, and Rhum JM Terroir Volcanique.

The Astor sale was kind to me.
That semi-annual sale email hit my inbox right after an email about a raise and damage was done! Excited to finally get my hands on some bottles not available in PA. If anyone has any recommendations for the Planetary coconut rum I’ll happily take them. 🤩

Plantaray Original Dark
This is one of the few "specially" rums available where I live. I don't see it called out often in recipes. What drinks does it work well in?
My hope is that it's good enough to be a "workhorse" on my shelf that can replace some special-order-only bottles. If the consensus is that it kinda sucks I guess I'll keep plugging along with the high-price, hard-to-get bottles.

Tiki Mugs Taipei
I am planning to visit Taipei, and I was wondering if anyone knows about any places that sell tiki mugs in person. All that I can find online is places that sell ceramics in general (so not a guarantee) or online.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Libbey 1619, anyone willing to sell me 2 of them? Rather not buy a huge case and they don’t sell just 1 or 2.
Ideally they’d be new or flawless condition. Either way if not maybe some of use just want a few and one of us buys them and sells/ships the rest to members…

Tropical Standard Strawberry Daquiri
2oz Charanda Uruapan Blanco
.5oz Daytrip Strawberry Amaro (my addition)
.75oz Lime Juice
1 tablespoon “sugar mix” (equal parts raw and white sugar by weight)
60g frozen strawberries (I’d probably do 90g next time)
170 grams crushed ice
1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum (cut it to 1/8th)
Overall pretty good, maybe my strawberries are super flavorful so i wanted a little more but I enjoy it. 1/4 xanthan gum i find is a little too much for one drink it sorta gets a little gummy.
