Do you think he will ever see his kids again? Wouldn't he still have those connections to find out where they were?

What was the whole implication of the Lloyd Denton storyline? Obviously I know it’s portrayed that he set up his friend and murdered his mom, but what’s the end goal of the storyline? Is he supposed to be the final boss serial killer that Dutch can never catch? Is he meant to show that Dutch will never be able to let go of his detective work?
