I love how Elektra just sitting there laughing 😂, I just know that she was having a good ol' time seeing Candy getting read like that 😩😂.

I love Cubby but dang him & Lemar literally have no type of loyalty 😩. I wish they wrote them better tbh & I never understood why they wrote Lemar to act like that in s3 when they never focused on them like that. They did a great job at writing the main characters but not enough for Lemar to act like a petty mf in s3.

I just started watching Pose this week and absolutely blasted through seasons 1 and 2 in 2 days. Is watching Season 3 worth it? The writing's so bad compared to the earlier content that it kind of killed the immersion for me. :(

Edit: Finished the show! Thanks guys. Season 3 was... weird. Happy for some of the characters. :)

I found this show via my sister and her and I INHALED season 1. Now, we had just begun season 2 and elektra is getting on my nerves stronger than ever. I genuinely don’t understand why people call her iconic. She is such an ungrateful bitch. After her sugar daddy left her, Blanca was the one who helped her. She was sleeping on the streets, and blanca gave her a roof over her head, a warm meal, a room of her own, and helped her find a REAL job. Season 1 ended on such a lovely note. Elektra basically became the grandmother of the house of Evangelista. She crushed Candy and Lulu and read them to FILTH while mentioning that she will only ever decide to talk to them if she wants to get hired. She helped blanca win over them (hate candy and lulu so much, they’re trashy bullies). Like I said, season 1 had an amazing ending.

Cut to season two. Elektra, who’s been living with them for 2 years at this point, starts being selfish again, and when she simply gets called out for her bad attitude and skipping family dinners, what does she do? Does she apologise like the classy lady that she claims to be? Does she at the very least keep her mouth shut? No. She throws a FIT, and not only does she do that, she flips over a table full of food for fucks sake, and all of a sudden - quite Evangelista and proclaims she’s going to crush Blanca. What the actual fuck? Is she bipolar? Hasn’t she got any self control on her aggressive emotions? If it wasn’t for Blanca, elektra would’ve died living on the streets. What the actual fuck? This is how you treat people who saved your ungrateful ass? Have you a home and helped you find a job despite you not deserving any kindness from them. I genuinely don’t understand why people in this fandom praise her and call her iconic etc. There is NOTHING iconic about being mean, a bully, ungrateful, rude, and disgusting towards your own people (not to mention what she pulled when she didn’t go to the protest in the cathedral and called her people “a bunch of fags”). And then what does she do? Invite herself into the trashy house of Ferociousness. People who she claimed to have hated 2 years prior. What the actual fuck? Has she no self respect?

What kinda 'brawl' was that. That was literally a middleschool cafeteria food fight 💀. If Lemar's hoe arse jumped at me like that, you bet your sweet bippy my instincts will kick in and the fork on the table would have connected him straight to gods server.

Had to pause the episode and rant, what is Angels deal??! Genuinely none of of the drama would have went down is she kept her mouth shut.

I can understand she's been through a lot but that's absolutely no excuse to downplay Damon's big day- smh I don't think I can see her the same way again

so let’s talk about that mess that was season 3 of pose…i’d like to start by saying that i still love pose despite the garbage season 3 was but whatever…WHY WAS PAPI SINGING AT THE WEDDING?!!?😭 i know ryan murphy loves to turn things into musicals but lil papi has never shown any interest in singing throughout the series until that episode…just corny and cringy as fuck. and not to mention during season 3, elektra worked closely with the american mafia which is stupid because i doubt the american mafia would EVER show support to trans women in the 90s, fuck beating up men and robbing things for them. it’s just so unrealistic and horrible…leave your opinions in the comments

Meaning the madona bit and how her song got #1 and everyone in the show said it was a big break. im not educated on trans women and things in the past so was this actually the big break for trans women and queer people? btw im only on season 2 episode 6 so try not to spoil!

So I just watched the whole series for Pride month, and I’m conflicted. I love how a Black/Brown trans woman was made the main character, how the show highlighted the real history of AIDS in America, and the community that got them through such dark times.

But it also felt TOO happy??? Like, all the characters learned the right lessons, everything felt too wrapped up in a neat little bow (other than the characters that were just kinda dropped, maybe because the writers were just doing too much and didn’t have time? Like what happened with Castle?). I guess I wanted it to be grittier, but I can appreciate the focus on queer joy.

I’ve also gotta give credit to Billy Porter’s performance; what a VOICE, and that Aretha Franklin scene, PHEW! Elektra was such an interesting character, I loved that they explored the complexities of her transition, and I totally ship Papi and Angel. Definitely worth a re-watch eventually.

Okay so, when they were by the waterfall,i felt it in my nuggets that they were gonna smooch. But like..2 episodes ago,when molly whopping the photographer he caller her his sister..ik they arent biological siblings but bruh

On the episode where Candy dies and I'm honestly confused why it was decided to kill them off. I get they had their moments but it just felt like they were included for Pray Tell to poke fun off (and no I don't accept his apology) Additionally the scene with their parents shows they could have had some sort of family reconciliation- alas

We see her fight for that recipe book so she learns to cook for her children. And then we only see Damien in the kitchen and it is Damien that gets to learn pancakes and everything like Blanca's mother taught her before.
But in season 3, Damien is written off as a drunk and not in the picture much. And to then give that recipe book to Angel for her wedding felt incredibly undeserving! If Blanca was to give that recipe to anybody, it would be to Damien if he was kept as that sweet mama's boy he originally was written to be!!
