Support Which third party controllers are supported by Steam Input?

Outside of the usual range of Steam, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox Controllers, which third party controllers are supported on Steam? Is there a dedicated list?

I myself have an 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless. Some other controllers from them also have Steam Input compatibility, which lets you use the extra buttons and gyro.

Not much of a "definitive" list but actually way less than I thought

Yeah hard to say. I will say generally speaking for regular xbox buttons most controls are going to work just fine. For extra buttons that's where things get hinky.

But, ever since they worked with 8bitdo to get their one first pad supporting steam input it seems to have inadvertently opened the gate on others at random. For example my Stadia pad's 2 extra system buttons it's always had have been bindable for a year or two now because of it.

If the controller uses X-Input it will work as steam input will see it as an xbox controller. Many third party controllers use that.
