I'm looking for a non denominational or at least non Catholic church to baptize my daughter. My husband and I were both raised Catholic but aren't actively practicing or a part of a church but it is important to us and our families that she is baptized, and we don't object either way. I contacted Holy Spirit Church about her baptism and we were told our marriage "wasn't valid to the Catholic church" since we didn't get married by a priest, and the chosen godparents aren't Catholic so there'd have to be a Catholic witness etc. That's too many hoops to jump through for a church whose values we don't really align with anyways so not going to pursue it further.

So is there a church out there that is more accepting and willing to baptize our child that doesn't require a bunch of prerequisites? City or county, does not matter.

Hi all. I have tickets for a show at Stifel Theatre this Friday evening and I’m concerned about fitting in my seat based on some things I’ve seen online. We’re sitting in the second to the last row in the mezzanine. I saw a post about the legroom being terrible but I’m wondering what the width of the seats is like. I’m only about 5’2” but I have quite wide hips (I’m a size 24). Do any larger people here have any experience with the seats at this theatre? Thanks in advance!

I have VIP pit for a show coming up and am wanting to know what time I can arrive to the venue to start Queuing. I asked the staff, they told me I could when the parking lot opens at 5:30pm. Vip check in is at 1:30 so that just wouldn’t work. I know we have to show the parking attendant our vip tickets but I just don’t know what time they’ll be out there.. any answers?? I saw this post on instagram recently where a group of people in nyc meet once a month at a random location in the city and everyone draws the area around them (can walk around draw different things) for maybe like an hour then come together to form a small gallery of everyone’s art. I just very recently moved to stl and have always enjoyed making art/drawing. I’m thinking if enough people were interested maybe we could form a small group similar to the nyc one and draw different parts of the city. Might be a cool way to connect with people and get to know the city (esp for me since I don’t really know anyone here haha)! Lmk what you guys think :)

I am kind of new to STL and was wondering if there were any shows here like the performance and art group Quixotic from the KC area puts on? Aerial stunts and acrobatics, fire dancing, burlesque and cabaret style performances, with a mix of art and light shows.

I came home from work and there was a Maplewood police car sitting in my driveway clocking vehicles passing by, is this okay?

Edit/Update: Typically they a have patrol car parked in the adjacent lot underneath the tree. I don’t know what made them decide to use my driveway today.
I called the non emergency number and asked to speak to a Sargent. He asked me to send him the pictures and assured me that this wouldn’t happen again.
Wondering if I’ll get pulled over anytime soon 😭.
