In my effort to revive this sub, here's a discussion post. When FOBs pick a place to immigrate to, they usually come in with the understanding that they will never fully integrate to the host country. So, they usually like places that are self proclaimed "liberal" where they can be friendly with everyone, lean back into the existing FOBs, and live a relatively segregated life (think, SF bay). Obviously, this is not ideal for an ABCD male who wants an integrated social, professional, and romantic life. As someone who has lived in many places and interacted with ABCDs from many places, here's my judgement on the actual best places to be an ABCD.
GOOD
Frontier West (Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado) - This is generally a great place to be an ABCD. The weather and flora provides sun with low humidity and doesn't grow mold and allergens, which generally promotes testosterone. The area is historically occupied by Native Americans and Hispanics so people are used to seeing brown people. The area is also not culturally "settled", meaning you won't immediately be seen as an outsider. No huge FOB communities so you won't get hit with stereotypes but still enough Indians in some major cities.
Upper Midwest (Iowa, MN, Wisconsin, MI) - These states are somewhat boring but a nice place to be an ABCD in general. People are pretty friendly, and won't be exclusionary, if you grew up there. The "whites" here are germanic and scandinavian who are generally pretty chill with Indians. That said there is still a subtle midwestern culture you probably have to assimilate into (HS basketball, hunting, fishing etc). Chicago ABCDs have established some community and do decent. This does NOT include the rust belt states from Indiana to Western PA.
California (Central Valley, SoCal) - Both generally decent places to be ABCD. California in general is a diverse, dynamic, and unsettled culture so you can genuinely do a lot of things. Central Valley is a cultural mix of the frontier west culturally, lots of multigenerational punjabis as well and decently racially integrated. In SoCal white people are not put on a pedestal and you'll have as good of a shot as any if you have the looks and money.
MIXED BAG
New England (Maine to Boston/CT) - Culturally heavily influenced by Anglo ideals. It's not the worst place to be a desi IMO but theres a clear "caste" system here with Anglos on top, and NPC jobs like finance, government, etc. valued. On the pro side, people are generally educated here and value it. An alright place to be ABCD if you're a "refined" type of guy who wants to conform into those ideals. Most ABCD women tend to be exogamous here.
Bay Area, CA - This is basically the true neutral for ABCDs. There's basically every type of indian ethnicity here, extremely diverse racially. Tons of Indian FOBs but also a lot of ABCDs here obviously so you won't get immediately hit with stereotypes. Obviously many successful Indians here but also a lot of rando SWEs at instacart. Bay area is generally extremely racially segregated so not the best for actual integration but you can work around it. Culture is feminine in the bay and women are too masculine so you'll need to work to foster your masculinity if you grew up here. Not great for dating, most ABCDs from SJ or Fremont tend to leave here in their 20s or 30s to LA or Chicago/NYC.
NYC/New Jersey - Manhattan is generally a great place to be ABCD and one of the only places where Indian dudes have real pull IMO. Lots of Jewish girls here who are down to clown. A generally cosmopolitan, intellectual culture. The problem is as you leave manhattan things head bad quickly. Lots of guido sicilians, greeks, other ethnic "whites" who are insecure about their ethnicity. ABCD women aren't too self hating here.
MOSTLY BAD
PNW (Seattle/Oregon) - This area basically mimics the liberal redditor. A lot of Anglos who were in the KKK migrated to this region and set its cultural tone. If you live in Seattle you are cooked due to gender ratio + all FOBs + PNW culture. In general though, its probably a workable area as long as you're not in Seattle.
Mid Atlantic (DC/NOVA) - Lots of Indian immigrants working NPC jobs in the government and sending their kids to Montgomery Blair thinking they're doing something. The culture is HEAVILY stepped in Anglo-puritan culture. ABCD women here are almost always dating a schlubby white guy and the ABCD men here seem equally NPC. The saving grace is theres more women than men here, so the dudes are bound to end up with some frumpy, masculine woman who works as a "non-profit lawyer".
Appalachia and the Rust Belt (PA/IN/OH) - This part of the USA tends to be very parochial, and they don't like outsiders. Most of the women and men here are very boorish and economically depressed. The culture here is reminiscent of Australia (which hates desis ofc), with the men being mostly losers who drink beer and might have a job as a mechanic, if they're lucky. Since they have nothing going on, mate guarding is high with the loser white guys trying to go for minorities. The women lean into black-culture which tends to be the opposite of the women that like desi guys. The weather is horrible and the food is processed junk, reducing testosterone. That said, its still pretty easy to get girls since the dudes are quite pathetic here.
TERRIBLE
East Texas (Dallas, etc.) - Dallaspuram is the home of unassimilated immigrants. Needless to say, you will be hit with stereotypes. The culture mimics southern scots-anglo-irish culture, full of false pride, low IQ, and evangelical christianity. Lots of edgars and hot cheeto girls who want to LARP as anglo. The weather is humid and allergenic promoting low fitness and testosterone. If you live here leave immediately.
The Deep South (Atlanta, Deep South states) - A similar situation to Dallas. The culture here revolves around college football and being a white guy whose dad owned a car dealership (and probably slaves in the 1800s). And if you don't fit into the white culture here (you won't) the alternative is black culture.Most ABCD dudes in Atlanta are dorks as well unfortunately, and the immigrants who settle in Atlanta tend to be quite uninspired. ABCDs who grow up here tend to be quite passive. Lots of ultrareligious types and the white guys have "fell by the wayside" in this region and therefore tend to mate guard intensely.
TLDR: Upper midwest, Frontier West, and Most of California are the best places to be ABCD

Fellow forever skinny fat, brown, hardgainer bros, this one's for you.
I was the textbook skinny-fat ectomorph. Skinny arms, pudgy belly hidden by my loose shirts, no chest. (Btw if you come up and tell me XYZ-morphs don't exist anymore Imma slap you with my 🍆. You know exactly what I mean and what image I am trying to convey with that term.)
And the part that most that hate on us and our physiques don't get...
We have no appetite.
I never do. I can go till 6pm without a single hunger pang. (As was shown on my last cut guide video where I was eating 1600 Cals).
"Just eat more, bro" is useless when the problem isn't willpower. It's that eating feels like a chore. And you are full and sick to your stomach after your 1st proper "bulking" meal. Let alone the 3-4 more left for the day.
Two months ago I was cutting on 1,600 calories and it was easy, because not eating is my default setting.
Since then I've worked my way up to 3,900 a day (3700 in this video), and I'm the heaviest, biggest and strongest I've been in months.
Here's the exact system I laid out that got me there.
1. Stop trying to eat like a "Pro/Bro" bodybuilder.
Every extra step between you and the food is another excuse your brain invents. Lower the activation energy. Make eating stupidly easy or it won't happen.
2. DRINK your calories.
A blended meal goes down in five minutes WHILE I work. Oats, banana, peanut butter, whey, oat milk. Blend, chug, done.
3. Get a food scale and a small blender.
Eyeball your portions and your diet failed before day one. Get the small single-serve blender, NOT the big one with ten parts to wash. Less cleanup means you'll actually use it.
20+ yr Pro tip - Grab 3-4 of the blender cups. Less time doing dishes b/w meals, much easier faster meal prep = higher %age of success.
4. Load the calorie-dense stuff.
Extra peanut butter. The 120-calorie oat milk instead of the 40. A splash of olive oil in your real meal. Just keep fat under about 35-40% of the total. (For me I am doing 25-30%, my body loves more carbs for both energy, glycogen and literally my insulin sensitivity is just improving all the time because of my training and cardio.)
5. The cornflakes trick.
I blitz 100-130g of cornflakes dry so they crush down small, then add them to the shake. Got this one from John Meadows, rest his soul.
6. My actual day.
Three shakes and one real meal (200g beef and 300g RAW cream of rice). That's it.
The mindset shift that mattered most: I stopped treating my low appetite as a flaw to fix and built around it.
Stop thinking you're lazy, broken or have bad genetics. You just have to make the calories easier to get in than to skip.
The same "bad" genetics to put on mass is what helps you get sickening shredded aesthetic abs EASY when it is time to cut down again after the bulk.
Made a detailed video breakdown of all my meals and what changed from 1600 to 3700 cals above, if you're stuck somewhere and can't figure out how to get unstuck just ask.

I made a thread two weeks ago about tracking people who post racist comments against Indians on social media, and it received over 90 upvotes. But what surprised me is that almost nobody seems to care beyond that
Black communities have groups that document racism. East Asians have Stop Asian Hate movements. Muslim communities have organizations that speak up against discrimination
But after searching for the past two weeks, I couldn’t find a single dedicated community doing the same among Indians. Seriously?
With a population of 1.4 billion people, it’s hard to believe that no one has thought about creating something like this
Like wtf is happening

There have been many posts on here about mainland and FOB Indians lack of civic sense, looks, etc. But I want to focus on what I believe is a much greater problem for the future of the Indian diaspora: the servile and bugman nature of modern Indian culture.
Modern Indian culture and people have lost any sense of self-determinism, innovation, and faustian spirit. Vedic people created new science, mathematics, philosophy, literature explored new areas. This is not only economically valuable but creates a sense of pride as a people and culture.
Urban Indian culture aspires to white suburban culture in the cringeist way possible. Talking to extended relatives in India they'll brag about how "western" the city has become. The urban and elite class desperately adopts pseudo americo-british Indian accents, will do anything possible to immigrate to any Anglophone country. Their entire goal in life seems to be content to be a servile golem manager in some random tech company. "Cracking" the interview at "FAANG" seems to be a life goal to them; not any contribution to humanity, science, literature, art. They don't see a future in which they can create anything or discover anything useful. When you discuss things with an Indian FOB, it is basically like talking to an LLM, you'll receive random words like "grooming", "tier 2", "fairness" some random checklist of things they care about: height, skin color, college, salary package, etc.
Indian media has also collapsed onto the least common denominator. Our famed movie industries are only good for putting out some ultra-cringe simpy rom-com with a shitty sound track, or another western movie copy. No stories exploring the human condition or plots that would actually make someone think. It is no wonder our media has absolutely no global pull or recognition through time.
Indians in India view life as a zero-sum game and see no way to create wealth; most seem to believe buying real estate, gold, or engaging in political corruption as the only ways to make money. The few capitalists who have "made it" in India don't invest in new technologies or sciences, and instead engage in corruption to avoid market competition. India absolutely has scientific talent, instead of using it to develop technology it is either wasted or sent abroad for coolie remittances.
African Americans for their many flaws care about their own vernacular and culture, and created many genres of art, music, and entertainment. This is not an exclusive critique of India, per se as many countries and even the west is losing its sense of creativity and self determination. In order for us to rise as a people though it will have to be regained. I see some hope in the diaspora/ABCDs but the mainland seems far gone.

This is the most annoying part of our discourse online.
And no, i'm not talking about the people who openly glaze white people or desperately seek their approval - because that's not real. I'm talking about actual problem - people who constantly talk about them and how "bad they are" and insert them into every single conversation that is not about them, and conversations that are supposed to be about OUR peoplehood and OUR development.
it's annoying, embarrassing, slavish, and frankly extremely counter-productive if we actually want meaningful changes in our community.
Yeah "WHITE PEOPLE" MAN, CRAZY ... i can't believe it. Me personally I got 0 hatred for white people - or any other race for that matter because it's wrong, low iq, and goes against the teachings of Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita.
Tell me honestly, name 5 white people who have personally ruined your life. Most of you can't, and if you can - then i'm sorry - but a vast majority of people repeating this type of rhetoric cannot.
Constantly blaming and discussing about the "white crimes" does not make you a revolutionary liberator. It still makes you a slave because at the end of the day, they're at the center of your worldview. Cut the liberation talk and be deadass about your supposed "rebellion" and "fighting back" actions.
Why can't we - for once - have productive discussions about our own institutions that don't automatically go back to white people ? it's honestly extremely disheartening that I can't go one post without hearing someone talk about white people in some capacity.
It also reproduces this same blood guilt ideology that people use against us.
Stop inserting them into every convo and focus on rebirth, redevelopment, theology, history, art, architecture, and other stuff that'll get us further than discussing abt the latest wignat post of the day.

I've noticed online how even the accounts that seem to target jews over all else, like Nick Fuentes, seem to hate Hindus even more than they hate Jews.
Nick has a fair number of Jewish friends and supporters, and he occasionally praises them, but when it comes to Hindus, he judges that we are all subhuman.
Why do you think this is the case? What have we done that we are more hated than even Jews, despite not even notably interacting with the West until the 1800's?

I’m 24m and some of my cousins never say anything outright rude to me but they take almost every opportunity to tease me about something that I do. It kinda gets under my skin. Anybody else relate to this or is that just me? It seems kinda targeted towards me specifically sometimes.
Am I the issue? Is this common in the south asian community? (I’m proud to be a south asian regardless but i’m just curious)
I tend to be more sensitive and less outwardly ego driven, so i understand that sometimes that can come across as having weaker boundaries. But aside from some low self esteem issues (which i try my best to mask), I do well in every other area of my life.
I just brushed off the condescending treatment as them being an insecure bitch. But should I give them the benefit of the doubt? Maybe i’m the issue because nobody else seems to have an issue with them?

I've noticed on the internet that if a Hindu man embarrasses himself in any way or missteps, the whole internet joins together in putting him down. All of them- black, muslim, white, asian, hispanic, jewish, christian, arab, buddhist, sikh come together to mock him and dehumanize them. They hate us a lot and I think I know why but I can't say.

As a Messi fan, I want Argentina to win but also wouldn’t mind if Spain won. However I’ve noticed that most neutrals want Spain to win especially those who are politically involved. Vote and comment who you want winning

Just so you guys know, there wasn't anywhere else to put this. No way was I gonna go on subs like r/Vent or that r/ABCDesis, considering the type of people that frequent those subs and Reddit in general.
I have extreme fomo when I see couples either on social media or in public that're around my age, and I have resentment towards my parents for how much they stunted me. I feel like they're the reason why I'm introverted and why I'm so ugly, and why I have no confidence to approach/talk to girls. I also feel I would be nerdy, dull, boring, and most of all creepy if I were to approach mainly because I don't know what's right or wrong to say and I don't even know what to talk about with them that doesn't sound like job interview questions or generic shit.
The more I look at social media the more I'm afraid I'll stay a virgin until the unforeseeable future, because of the types of guys these women laugh and enjoy their lives with, and if somehow I do get with someone in my late 20s/early 30s I'm afraid it'll be because I'm the safety net/backup option for the woman after she's had her fun with better looking and more confident frat/football guys. Or if by some miracle I end up getting someone and it was just all in my head, it's gonna be the ugly leftovers.
I know I'm breaking a lot of rule 3 but I just really needed to get this off my chest I can't afford therapy and I felt I could get perspectives from other brown men here. Also I feel I need to emphasize I don't hate women and I don't think it's over but again I had to come here and say all this.
Thank you

Yo i’m 24m but when i was 22, my cousins and I were playing pool at bar and a good looking caucasian woman around my age approached me. She and her brother kept showing me pool techniques and she was straight up flirting with me in the most obvious way. She shook my hand, kept approaching me, teased me, touched me a little, giggled, and waved at me.
I was kinda confused because i don’t consider myself ugly, but i’m a regular, skinny, shy, virgin, brown guy with glasses who was dressed pretty normally. But she was actually attractive.
Idk i’ve never had that happen to me, I was in disbelief lol

Does anyone else feel there's a lack of ABCDs on social media? I mean, going through and browsing sites like Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, there are not very many big second generation indian americans. I'm a big Twitter user and I've found that mainlanders and immigrants have taken over the Indian American identity and used to talk about issues that only benefit them. Also, they attack us constantly and there's never enough firepower to attack back.

Among abcds (Desis who were born and raised in the us.), which do you think is more common Desi men dating or hooking up non Desi women, or Desi women with non-Desi men?
In my personal experience, I’ve actually noticed more American born Desi guys with non Desi women than the other way around. Most of the couples I’ve seen also seem pretty looks matched, with both people being around the same level of attractiveness. I also noticed that a lot of my white friends arent usually into desi women in my experience.
I know everyone’s experience depends on where they live and their social circles, so I’m wondering if my experience is unusual. I have also only seen a mainlander guy with a non desi woman once with an east asian woman.
What have you guys noticed? Which pairing do you think is more common among young ABCDs or are they around the same.
r/SouthAsianMasculinity • u/West_Tone_3330 • 8d ago
Why did she have to make these kinda titles just talk about her experience. She would never do this to any people other than indians, if I do this about muslims, she call me a fascist and say I wanna genocide muslims. Indian leftist have completely normalised this behaviour towards us. We can talk about issues without constantly dehumanising ourselves.

there is a boy who is from terai and idk why he show everyone so much attitude like no one like him even if people try to talk he's too rude with them I really don't care about that what I care is if I am talking with someone why he has to pass comments in my opinion who is he?to pass comments like neither i have done some to him nor I have talked with him then why he is doing so and by the way the comments he passed is about my religion like many people ask me about my religion because for many of them I have been their first Muslim friend and while people ask questions he just pass demeaning words like someone was asking that can't you name the god names of hindi and i just answer that if I want to say I can it's depend on my choice and you know what he said?? He said like we can say Allahu Akbar then why can't she?? Like who are you to tell me bro it's my choice what I want to say i will say it's my life choices not yours I really don't have seen this people in my whole school life like all my friends has treat me well and so do I also.but this guy is just want to fight with me in the name religion but I don't want to because for me every religion has equal respect and that's it

If you're another forever skinny-fat bro that's failed and finally given up on your quest for abs because you couldn't stick to your required low-calorie meal plan:
I thought my 1,600 calories per day diet that I used for my last shred (at 6'2" at about 85 kilos) would help you understand setting up a diet that actually works for you rather than against you.
Here's my full day of eating, and every trick and hack I've picked up in 20 ish years of doing this, that I use alongside of it to make it bearable.
First things first. (How you fail your diets before you even begin)
Buy a food scale. Guys will argue about macro splits for an hour and then eyeball their peanut butter. That's how 1,660 quietly turns into 2,100.
Wake up: water with iodized table salt and a potassium salt substitute. Sodium, iodine, potassium. The iodine is the one guys skip and it's the one your thyroid runs on, which matters a lot by month 2of a cut.
All morning: two big tumblers of coffee brewed at about one tenth strength.
Basically hot brown water.
It gives your mouth and your stomach something to do for four straight hours and it costs zero calories.
Sounds dumb, but it's half of why I got through this.
Here is the meal breakdown formatted for better readability:
**Pre-Workout Meal (90 min before training)**
* 300ml zero-sugar oat milk
* 33g oats
* ½ banana
* 10g peanut butter
* 2 scoops whey isolate
**Intra-Workout**
* ½ scoop EAAs
* Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin
* Salt and potassium substitute (essential for maintaining muscle pump and preventing fatigue during a caloric deficit)
**Post-Workout Meal**
* 200g rice
* 200g beef
* Unlimited vegetables (use these to maximize volume and satiety)
**Final Meal**
* 300g zero-sugar oat milk
* 1 scoop protein powder
* 200g frozen mixed berries (opt for berries over bananas to maximize food volume with fewer calories)
3 other things that carried me.
One last thing.
Eat the food you'll actually cook.
I use beef over chicken, not because beef is better, but because I hate how I cook chicken and I know I won't eat it. A worse plan you follow beats a perfect plan you bail on by Thursday.
Before anyone asks what I'm on.
**Performance Enhancers (TRT/PEDs)**
* Testosterone: 200mg/week (maintained throughout the entire 8 weeks).
* Clenbuterol: Added only in the final 10 days (25mcg, increasing to 50mcg).
* Growth Hormone (GH): 2 to 3 IU nightly (Didn't use this for fat loss, but rather for injury recovery)
(I've loved the gymbro aesthetic lifestyle for 19 years now, I trained 7+ years natty, got abs multiple times over, 4+ plate deadlift, went from 10 to 14.5 inch arms ALL natty before I ever partook in PEDs.
Upto you if you think PEDs = Nothing said is valuable, but I've made solid gainz natty and so have the boys that have worked with me.)
**Standard Supplements**
* Fish oil
* Vitamin D3 with K2
* Magnesium
* Calcium
* Glucosamine (for joint health)
*Note: I ran this cut without fat burners for the majority of the duration to prioritize mental discipline. None of these compounds made a 1,660-calorie deficit survivable; the volume of vegetables, and the way the diet was designed was the real key to success.*
Been doing this for 20+ years, have any questions, just ask, happy to help out! 😊

As a 24M south asian man, I feel pretty hesitant when it comes to dating/spontaneous encounters with women compared to my peers. I’ve never had a gf before and haven’t even had my first kiss before. My parents weren’t that strict with me socially growing up but they’re more on the conservative side, and dating/women always felt like an awkward thing to discuss in the household.
Also, all my other south asian friends around my age seem to have experience with women by now, so i’m not sure if this is common for south asian men.
Also, I feel like things will change when I move out of my parent’s home. It’s awkward meeting women when you live with your parents since they always ask where i’m going. They wouldn’t get mad if i was dating someone, but there’s almost zero privacy. Hopefully things will change when I move out and start being more independent.
Can anyone relate?
