Been thinking about this a lot lately since I'm due for an upgrade and keep circling back to the same brand out of habit more than anything else. Is it really about the ecosystem thing, like once you're in with the watch, earbuds, tablet etc it just becomes annoying to leave? Or is it more about just knowing the software and not wanting to relearn everything.

For me its mostly muscle memory at this point, I know where every setting is, I know how the camera behaves in different light, and switching feels like a hassle even if another phone might genuinely be better for what I need.

did anyone here actually switched brands after years of loyalty and if it was worth it or if you ended up missing stuff you didnt even realize you relied on.

Hello, i am currently in a predicament because I can't decide if to buy the Samsung S26 (which would cost me around 600 euros because of the student promotion, which is a steal considering it's priced at like 800-900) or to buy the iPhone 17 that I found at 750. I've always used Android, never iOS, but I've been wanting for a really long time to get an Iphone. I know id be happy with the Samsung as well, but I can't decide on whether to spend a bit more for the iPhone or not. I've been told that a good software like One UI is important which makes me lean on the Galaxy A57 and S25 Fe, however they don't excel on gaming performance. Honor is not exactly as recommended here. Xiaomi T Series are renowned for their flagship-grade cameras while still having great chipset. While Poco F7 Ultra seems to have the best chipset and decent cameras as well. Should I just go for the F7 Ultra instead, Xiaomi T or S25Fe?

Hi, I'm going to upgrade my S8 to the S25 or S25 Edge, and I may look into s23 ultra as well (depends on the seller's reliability) Which one would you recommend? I'm looking for a phone that I can use for 7 to 10 years. The S25 and S25 Edge are almost the same price. I love taking pictures and I'd like to enjoy them even 7 years from now, but battery life is also important to me, s23u absolutely amazing phone however it will no longer support software updates for a long period, and as I mentioned it depends on the seller's reliability. Hey Guys so my budget is 70K and now I am confused with which phone should I go for ?? There is Samsung S25 and then besides that Iphone 16 but I don't find it worth buying... I hate living in the U.S. just because all the phone brands here are lacking. iPhone has horrible charging, battery, and iOS limitations. Samsung is bloated and a bit ugly in my opinion. Pixels are nice, but their lack of Snapdragon chips is a huge turnoff. Other phone sellers here, like Nothing, Motorola, or ASUS, I like them, but they aren't at flagship level. OnePlus was the perfect brand, and I use a 13 daily (I'm not sure if the 15 is even considered an upgrade). Originally, I had hoped the 16 would come out and I could main that until maybe Nothing made a true flagship, or maybe another sub-brand came to the U.S., but judging by what people are saying, that won't happen.

If yes, it won't drop here, what limitations would I face if I imported new OnePlus models? Also, what companies in the U.S. have hope of becoming better than OnePlus phones, if any? I have light hopes that Nothing will make a true flagship in 3–5 years; otherwise, I'm not sure—maybe Motorola?

Keep in mind that I am buying this in Ukraine, where pricing, local retail offers, and taxes make the cost quite different compared to the US or Western Europe.

Here is my main dilemma:

Galaxy A57: I am really drawn to it and leaning towards this option because I love how thin the display bezels are compared to the body, it looks gorgeous. It also offers a beefier processor and improved cameras, though it hits the wallet noticeably harder given local Ukrainian prices.

Galaxy A37: Much easier on the budget, but I'm worried about compromises compared to the A57.

Also, I am deeply attached to One UI and absolutely love Samsung's software ecosystem, so switching to another brand's UI (like Xiaomi/HyperOS or Motorola) is a tough pill to swallow for me.

Given this context in Ukraine:

1. Is the visual upgrade with the slim bezels and overall performance on the A57 worth the extra money over the A37 in the long run?

2. Are there any better alternatives (maybe discounted older S-series or FE models) available here that still let me keep my beloved One UI experience without breaking the bank?

I have been looking to upgrade my phone recently, as my current one (Pixel 6a) is starting to have trouble. The charger barely stays in the hole anymore, even after cleaning out the port. I have seen many others with the same problem online, but I can't find a solution that works. I just bought it around 4 years ago, so it is unfortunate that it is already starting to not work. Everything else about the phone is still running fairly well, but I think it also may stop receiving updates soon. I'll be starting a new job soon where I will need a more recent phone due to their security standards, and they recommend getting a recent model, but the brand doesn't matter. They said anything within the last few models should be fine, since most phones made within the last 5 or so years should have the adequate specs.

I'm currently looking at either the Pixel 10 or the iPhone 17. Every phone I have had throughout my life has been an android, so I am already pretty familiar with the ecosystem, especially the Google/Pixel apps. I would be fine with switching brands, since nearly everyone I know (with maybe one or two exceptions) has an iPhone. I'm not quite sure how tough of a switch it would be in terms of data transfer and adjusting to new functions and interfaces. I also don't know if there is any benefit to switching, such as Apple exclusive functions that only work between two iPhone users.

I have seen that a lot of the newer phones are only differentiable by how they integrate AI, which isn't a concern for me. I like the circle to search function on my Pixel, and like to be able to find songs playing directly on my device, but that is mostly the extent to which I use AI (other than the occasional Lens search). I like to take pictures, especially of nature and animals, so having a strong and clear zoom is important to me.

I am open to all brands and models, but I have kept seeing the two I mentioned online as good choices. It will mostly be a personal phone, but also be used for work as well partially. I am willing to wait a bit for a sale, but I start in September, so I will need to make a choice by then.

I've been using a Moto Edge 50 Fusion for around 1.4 years. Two days ago, the phone suddenly switched off. When I tried turning it back on, the screen started flickering, and sometimes it would boot with a completely black display.

At first, I thought the display had failed. I took it to a local repair shop, and they tested it with another working display. The problem was still there, so they said my display is fine and that it's likely a CPU/motherboard issue. They also said they could attempt a repair but wouldn't provide any warranty because it might only work for a short time or the phone could die completely.

I then visited another repair shop (GoFix), and they gave me the same diagnosis.

Because of this, I've decided to buy a new phone instead of repairing it.

I really like Motorola's phones, so I was planning to buy the Moto Edge 70 Fusion. However, I'm worried about facing another motherboard/CPU issue after just a year or two.

Has anyone here used the Edge 70 Fusion? How has its reliability been so far?

Also, which phone would you recommend under ₹30,000 with:

Good long-term reliability

Good camera

Good battery life

Smooth performance

Clean software (or close to stock Android)

This phone has been absolutely great and must be 4 years old or something by now. It's fast and I've never had issues with it.

But recently I noticed the purple/pink "ink" on my screen, doing the research, my screen is probably dying.

Also the battery is degrading and no more updates, so financially I think it does not make sense to fix the screen right now.

Upon my research for phones, I became highly interested in "video out" because I already have a portable usb c monitor, usb-c hub and bluetooth kb/m which I use with my steam deck.

I like the idea of having a tiny "PC" in my pocket, Samsung Dex seems to be the leader in this and I also like to experiment with running Linux.

Chatting a lot with a.i. it became pretty clear to me a refurbished/secondhand Samsung Galaxy S23 comes out as the winner. Was looking for S20 first because of the SD card option, but no more updates for that phone might be an issue, I don't mind running a custom ROM, but I need banking apps etc.

Only cons for S23:

- Battery life

- Secondhand/refurbished

- Hear things about lines in the screen?

- Not many updates left

I think an S23 is really a bang for buck flagship phone, is there anything that can compete at this budget? Might be willing to stretch to 300 euro/dollar if it's like a new phone with great specs.

Cost is not a factor in this: I absolutely love OnePlus, and because it's leaving the U.S., my original plan of waiting for the 16 and using it until a U.S. brand caught up won't work. And I want the best of OnePlus. I've had my 13 for about a year and a half, and although I don't think I need to upgrade anytime soon, I just can't help wanting the best I can get. But is the OnePlus 15 truly better? I mean, there are notable downgrades, yet YouTubers glaze it whenever they get the chance. Just let me know; I'm on the fence about this.

Also, a little side question: now that Oxygen is shifting to Color, should I shift, or keep Oxygen? I've never experienced ColorOS and don't know what it has to offer.

The Samsung seems to be worth the most despite being the oldest. The Edge seems to have great specs, but I know that doesn't always translate to performance. Which of the 3 would you choose?

I am a mildly happy owner of a Pixel 8 Pro 128 GB from 2 years.

I am fine with it, the battery life isn't great, so I have to charge it around evening, and sometimes I complain that the 3 years of pixel drops never have been followed. But the cameras are great.

Today I found an offer for a New Samsung S26 Ultra 256 GB for 700€, so I was really considering maybe buying it and selling my current pixel as an upgrade.

The fact is that I usually swap phones when they almost die, since I didn't have a Job, and even if I have one now I still feel a little bit guilty about swapping phones early.

Do you think, for that price, that the purchase is worth it even if the pixel is only 2 years old?
