Camping on Coney Island?
Hi, just wondering if it is allowed to camp on Coney Island? Would love to go for one night obviously leave no trace and would be aware of tides etc. and no BBQ’s. Has anyone done this before?

Has anyone done an ADHD assessment with The Butterfly Practice on Wolfe Tone street?
I've been thinking about getting checked for ADHD for a few years now and spotted that there's a place in town doing adult ADHD assessments called The Butterfly Practice.
https://www.butterflypractice.com/
It's seems they're just psychologists, so they can't precribe medication. Does anyone here have any experience with them? Was it easy to use the diagnosis to get medication from a psychiatrist?

Considering a move to Sligo
Hello
Just looking for a bit of insight, my partner and I are considering moving to Sligo from Belfast, we're not hugely concerned with work as I'm 100% remote and he has some good options, we're both in our early 30's and just want to be closer to nature, put down roots, and we're both from the south as well. I'm originally from a rural area but have only lived in cities as an adult so I'm a little nervous about the adjustment and also housing, as it seems increasingly difficult to find somewhere to live anywhere in Ireland. Any insight on housing, social life, making friends etc would be appreciated. It's easy to get romantic about a place like Sligo in Summer but wondering if reality there might be different, we have visited and are planning an extended visit soon.

Darts
Hi all,
My brother is looking to get into darts and play on a team. Has Sligo got a darts team? If so what is the process of joining the darts team?
Also is there any bar in Sligo that holds regular tournaments for him to get more practice?
He currently has a dartboard at home, but I think the social aspect especially of darts would do him really well.
Thanks in advance

Jolly Roger flag?
Lads, quick, I'm in a bind, I need to find a jolly roger flag, the white skull and crossbones on a black background. I need to commandeer a vessel and give no quarter to the crew. Time sensitive.
Where in Sligo sells big pirate flags?

Shops closed Monday?
Just recently moved to Sligo from Dublin. I noticed a decent amount of shops or restaurants in Sligo town are closed Sunday and Monday. Any particular reason for this? Just found it a bit unusual.

Channing Tatum in Sligo
Channing Tatum ended up in one of Sligo's newest pubs. I would have thought he'd be more a Kennedy's man tbh 😅 honestly currids is a top pub, if you haven't been I would recommend

What's happening with these two places?
Not been in Sligo in a long time but expected some progress on these places. Seems such a shame to see them not being used to their full potential. EDIT: can I get extend this to Shenanigans and Fifth On Teeling.....

Kingsbridge hospital
I’m waiting for a couple of appointments in kingsbridge hospital. My GP was optimistic that I’d get them quickly but it’s been close to a month now. Realise it’s probably not unusual wait time but haven’t been able to speak to anyone there and getting fairly anxious about it.
Wondering if people have had issues getting appointments there and if it’s worth asking for a referral further afield.

Of 260 solicitors polled by the Law Society, it says just three plan to stay in legal aid scheme
Sums up the practice. In my opinion they are money grabbing scum bags. I am aware of someone whom has appeared in court for it to be postponed. The Garda refused to give her the book of evidence and her solicitor is doing nothing about this. It is wasting the tax payers money and denying her if her legal rights as she can't get a fair trial. She has no passport and has a curfew. What happened to innocent till proven guilty. I look at some of the people up on charges and see the amount of charges they have and do they get the same treatment.

Walkers pub and restaurant?
We were up in Sligo over the weekend and there was no food available there? We went to another bar and was told by the barman there that they have not served food since Easter?
What happened to the restaurant there?

Anyone up for trying to organise a jam session sometime? Im a self taught rhythm guitar player and I play metal. Would be nice to jam with someone and possibly get into doing some gigs if it worked out. Sick of just playing at home all the time 😂 Message me if interested 🤘

dog walking services?
Hello I am interested in hiring somebody in Sligo to walk my dog for me occasionally. Not a set schedule but I visit family frequently so would need someone to walk him maybe once a week or so when I am away. Preferably somebody with experience as my little Dennis can be a bit of a handful hahaha. Anybody interested please let me know!

Looking for a One-Man Band for Wedding Day 2 in Sligo 🍕🍻
Hi everyone! 👋
My fiancé and I are getting married in Sligo on 8th August, and for our Day 2 celebrations we’re having a relaxed pizza and pints afternoon in a local pub.
We’re looking for recommendations for a one-man band or solo musician who can play a mix of Irish favourites, classic singalongs, and upbeat acoustic covers to create a fun, lively atmosphere. Nothing too formal, just someone who can get everyone singing along!
If you’ve seen someone local who was brilliant, or if you’re a musician yourself, I’d love to hear your recommendations. Thanks so much! ☘️🍕🍻

Cycle to work
I’ve been waiting four weeks for payment to be made on my cycle to work application, order was approved two days after ordering and my travel hub account has just showed ‘awaiting payment’ ever since. I contacted HR earlier in the week and all they said was that they contacted accounts to follow up on payment and would let me know what’s happening, heard nothing back from them and still nothing has happened with the payment. Has anyone else experienced waiting this long for payment to be made? Just seems awfully slow for something fairly straight forward.
