Hi r/samplesize,
I'm an MA Gender Studies student at the University of Sussex, running a survey for my dissertation on how social media content moderation shapes what UK perimenopausal women can find, share, and know about their own bodies online.
Eligibility
UK women aged 35 to 55, currently or recently experiencing perimenopause.
Time commitment
5 to 10 minutes.
Anonymity
Fully anonymous. No IP addresses stored, no identifying data collected in the main survey. There is an optional separate opt-in survey at the end where participants can leave an email address if they'd like to be considered for a follow-up interview, stored independently from the main survey.
Ethics approval
University of Sussex Social Sciences and Arts Cross-Schools Research Ethics Committee. Approval reference 2026-2142.
What the data is used for
Analysis and write-up as part of my MA dissertation, submitted September 2026. Anonymised findings will be shared with anyone who asks. I will post a results summary here once the study closes.
