About an hour or 2 into a play session for the last few days, I'll open my inventory and everything will freeze. I can move the mouse but cannot close the inventory. Pressing windows key lets me escape the game but everything else will be lagging at the same rate. Even closing the game doesn't fix it and I have to restart my pc. Why is this happening?

I am currently having trouble launching. Everything is up to date, the only thing that is different is that i haven't played in a month. I can play vanilla just fine but modded just won't launch. Does anyone know how to update the issue?

My smapi not only won't ask for permissions to access my files but it also won't migrate and open up the actual smapi that usually contains the mods, I've looked everywhere for a solution but no one seems to be having any problems like mind??

I even tried opening it with no mods and it still never migrated even tho I waited over ten minutes

Smapi genuinely took around 4 hours to load everything today. This problem is not consistent because sometimes it loads within minutes. I'm not very tech savvy but we noticed that it mostly works after totally unplugging the pc but again not always. Other than that we have not changed anything no new mods or messing with files absolutely no difference that I know of. Any ideas?

i downloaded the happy birthday mod but apparently im running into errors when it's related to expasion mods, like SVE, ridgeside and east scarp. all of the npcs in the expasion mods tell me "Happy birthday farmer!" but when i get the mail for belated birthday, this happens. is it that the happy mod doesn't support these expasion mods? (and yes i know there's mods not working but none of them are related to expasion or birthday mods)

Hi! So I'm VERY new to modding (as in this is my very first time ever) and I got this error when trying to load SVE? What does this mean/what did I do wrong (T~T)?
As far as I know I've downloaded everything correctly and I've moved the SVE files to the designated Mods folder provided in the game files, and I've installed the content patcher and the farm type manager as well, so I don't think it's an issue with any of that, but I can't really know for sure since I don't exactly know what I'm doing for the most part. Does anyone know why I'm getting this error?

My stardew works perfectly fine with smapi and the mods, but I can't scroll through the smapi log that opens when I open the game (steamdeck), I can only scroll through the smapi log and see whether there's any issues with my mods by going to the website and putting the file in there to get your log. It's a bit annoying because that way I can't just start the game in gaming mode and I have to go into desktop mode and go to the files and the website first everytime. Is there way to fix this issue, so I can just scroll the smapi log when opening stardew and can immediately see any updates or issues?

Ive downloaded SMAPI multiple different times and followed everything to a T, but whenever I got to launch Stardew Valley SMAPI doesnt do anything. I have no logs since SMAPI wont even launch, and Ive put this in discord too but I've yet to get a response or find anyone who has resolved this elsewhere.

I thought it was community center plus or happy birthday at first but I deleted them both and I'm still having trouble </3 The game freezes but the music still plays and the screen doesn't go black or anything. It would, presumably, just stay on the frozen screen without any intervention. I'm not tech savvy at all so any help would be appreciated!

Recently installed some new mods, namely immersive family, immersive children portrait, unique children talk, immersive unique children talk, and ridgeside village and all their required dependencies. After installing, the game just... wont open? SMAPI runs for a bit, then closes, the farthest I've gotten is the game loading, me clicking 'load' and then the game closing shortly afterward.

Things I've tried are:

Verify File Integrity

Remove and Reinstall all mods

Reinstall Stardew Valley

Delete startup_preferences

Delete %appdata%/roaming/stardewvalley

Run SMAPI from the game folders instead of from vortex

Restart PC

Run Stardew Valley Vanilla (which worked, so its not an issue with the game?)

Try using SMAPI log parser, but the logs vortex gives arent of any use, it all indicates nothing is wrong, when something clearly IS wrong...

Any ideas guys? Or is it a lost cause? Below are a few screenshots of the times I found a rare error resposne from SMAPI instead of it just closing...

Hello everyone! I'm very new to Stardew Valley itself and more new to adding mods. I found some buildings i love and wanted to use them, I downloaded the AT version as the CP version was abandoned and outdated.
I have an issue of the texture simply not being in the catalogue, I even went into my Vibrant Pastoral GMCM to disable the modding for buildings after I read it somewhere. It doesn't show up in the paintbucket from Robin nor any other objects, like the book, the paintbrush etc.

I've even deleted Vibrant Pastoral to see if it's the issue, but same thing. So I downloaded Vibrant Pastorals back.
I also have downloaded a few Overgrown Fairy textures, like fences, doghouse, even for the buildings in Stardew Valley Extended.
However, the doghouse is completely fine, it appears in the catalogue book you can buy from Robin. May i please get some help? I desperately want this to work Thanks!

Everytime that I log in my friends world I am able to choose my character but when I do the screen goes completly black _except for the little cursor turning into the hourglass - and multiple red texts appear on the command prompt from smapi.

Hi! I'm still pretty new to modding the game but I have Stardew on both my phone and my tablet so I got SMAPI for both (since some mods don't work on my phone but do on my tablet). I never had trouble with it before, once I figured out how it works I was able to download a good amount of mods and I have been playing on both devices for months with no issue until now. I saved at night before going to sleep and when I woke up it started crashing. I tried removing a couple mods that were more heavy thinking that might be it but it kept crashing, I also restarted my device but it wouldn't work so with pain in my heart I sacrificed all my mods and my saved files to uninstall SMAPI altogether and install it again. It was the same file that I used to get it the first time. I instaled SMAPI exactly the same way I did before and it wouldn't even let me open it as it started crashing again. I gave it a few more tries but at a certain point my device just pops a notification that SMAPI keeps failing. The SMAPI on my phone is fine but it can't handle certain more heavy mods like expanded and such, which is why I had the one on my tablet which is why it pains me that it started crashing like this. If there truly is no way to fix it I guess I will have to accept it but it does hurt me because of my lost files.

Hey guys ı was in the middle of a playtrough but ı found some new mods that ı wanted to add so can ı add them or do you have to always add mods at hte start of a playtrough the mods ı wanted to add was a extra dialogue mod and a character mod.

Currently: I am on the Riverland farm, replaced by the Blackberry Fields modded farm.
I am playing SVE, summer year 2.

What I have tried:
1. I have disabled the Blackberry Fields mod by changing it's settings to replace Four Corners Farm instead of Riverlands.
2. I have installed the Easy Farm Switcher mod and Grandpa's farm, as I didn't install it with the rest of the SVE files when I first downloaded SVE.

When I try changing to Grandpa's farm with Easy Farm switcher, the screen goes black and the SMAPI log displays a long red game crash text.

Any idea where should I start?
