Shoe Model & Size: Saucony Endorphin Azura Plus Size 10.5, 242 grams weight, retail price: tbd but likely around 250 CAD or 200 USD
Fit/Comfort Notes: TTS, I'm pretty much a US 10.5 across all brands and have a slightly wider foot. Didn't have any issues with the fit and sizing, so I would say TTS would be the way to go.
Use Case: Supertrainer - I've used it from 7:45 min per mile pace down to roughly 5:20 min per mile pace and so far it's been quite good across a wide variety of pace ranges thus far.
Distance Ran: 9 miles
Reason For Buying: My Shoe Addiction
Personal thoughts: So far I've been satisfied with the overall ride and Cushioning. Normally when companies introduce a dual foam setup, I'm usually a little skeptical. I do have the endorphin elite 3, so I know what to expect in terms of the incredirun foam. Luckily, the endorphin azura plus does seem to do a good job of maintaining the bounce and fun that incredirun provides. The geometry was also really smooth so far across the 9 miles, so nothing really to complain about there. Stability was good overall, as I never felt like I was going to roll my ankle at slower and faster paces. Durability remains to be seen, but I'm optimistic that it will holdup.
Comparisons:
Red hare 9 ultra: they both provide a similar sort of big booming bounce primarily in the forefoot, but I think i like the azura plus a little more due to it's lower weight and more aggressive geometry
Dynafish xiaonian: I think the shoes feel a little similar in terms of the ride and geometry, but i think the azura plus has a little more bounce of the forefoot. The dynafish is unbeatable in terms of value though.
Superblast 3: Not really that comparable imo, the superblast is kind of a bigger shoe designed more for long runs and slightly up tempo workouts whereas the azura plus here seems to be saucony's answer to the megablast
Megablast: I think i might lean slightly more to the megablast due to it providing a little more energy return from the atpu foam, but the endorphin azura seems to hold its' own quite well and I can definitely see it as an alternative if the megablast doesn't fit you.
Overall, quite pleased so far after 9 miles, but a lot more testing is required before I can give any concrete conclusions about the shoes.

I met a guy in my local run club who reviews shoes for a living and we instantly became friends. I asked him what he was liking right now. No hesitation: "The Dynafish!" and I was intrigued. A few weeks later he handed me a pair to try.
Specs: 189g · 41mm stack · 7mm drop · US8 (tested)
Reviewer: 66kg / 1.66m / heel striker
First thing out of the box (or the bag it came in, to be precise): the weight or the lack of it! On foot the ride sits close to the Evo SL, same general character and ride but lighter and noticeably more stable underfoot. All easy paces on this run. About two kilometres in I stopped thinking about the shoe entirely, which is the highest compliment I can pay a first run. It just became part of the run.
What I didn't know yet was whether there's another gear in it. Nothing about an easy 12k asks a shoe a hard question but the intrigue was growing. I finished the run already thinking about the next one in them.
I'd planned to take the shoe for intervals in one of these, but I got banged up and kept them easy so I can't speak to how it handles real speed sessions.
This was the one I'd been waiting for. Most of my training lives at long-run pace, so this is where I actually get to know a shoe. Opened around 4:25/km and worked it down to under 4:00. The aggressive rocker and the bounce genuinely helped hold the pace, this shoe wants to roll forward, and on fresh-to-moderate legs it's a pleasure.
When I switched up to more marathon-ish paces (3:40s/km) around 23k, the shoe drew its line. I wanted more but the shoe wasn't giving it back the way tired legs need it to. That's the plate you don't have talking. For context, I run these in older supershoes (AP4s right now), and that's an unfair fight on paper. But it tells you exactly what the Dynafish is: a light, stable, seriously fun trainer that will carry you through big aerobic days not a carbon racer that flings you through the last 10k on empty legs.
- Fit: I got these in US8, my exact size. They fit well, though for long-run distances I'd go a half size up for a touch more room.

The Dynafish is a super versatile trainer, more like an older brother of the Evo SL and everything about it feels premium. If you're looking for a versatile daily that's light, feel fast and stable enough to trust when you're tired, and you can get your hands on a pair at the prices I've been seeing, it's an easy choice.
Returned the shoes to my friend. He's got 80+ pairs I can try out, Mizuno Hyperwarp series next!

Total distance ran:
450 miles
Type of runs:
Easy, recovery, steady long, and threshold
Weather ran in:
Dry & wet
My profile:
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 170 lbs
Range of average pace with this shoe:
Recovery: 10:00-12:00/mile
Easy: 9:00-10:00/mile
Long Run: 8:15-8:45/mile
Threshold: 6:55-7:05/mile
Strike Type: Heel
Mileage:
I generally average around 5-6 runs a week and have done 1,180 miles this year so far, with some off weeks due to injury and vacation. I usually float around 50ish miles per week.
Positives:
Soft, bouncy, versatile, light weight, good grip, comfortable, & accommodating upper
Negatives:
The only negative I can really find is the upper could be more breathable compared to V2, but is still way more breathable than V1.
Overview:
I’ve spent quite a bit of time in all 3 iterations of the superblast now and personally SB3 is my favorite so far. I took 2 pairs each of V1 & V2 to 500 miles, totaling about 2,500 miles now across all 3 versions. I felt like V2 was a great upgrade to V1 and feel like V3 is an even better upgrade coming from V2.
While the upper is not quite as breathable as V2, I do enjoy the fit and material more. For the midsole, it is much more versatile on the easy side of my pace ranges and equally is on good on my long runs, which I run pretty steady/zone 3 and even touch LT1 toward the end when they start pushing in the 2.5 hour range.
For threshold pace and beyond, I still prefer the Megablast or a more dedicated workout shoe, as I also did for V1 & V2. I did do a 6 x 5m @ LT2 session in it, it worked, but not my ideal choice and anything beyond I don’t think I would enjoy.
I’ve seen a lot of comments about a reduction in durability in the SB3, but that has not been my experience. I have found it to last just as long as the previous versions but something like that definitely depends on your gait and foot strike. There is more scuffing in the exposed midsole areas but that’s purely cosmetic and a welcome trade off for a more dynamic ride.
I think with this version, the Megablast and Superblast make a great rotation (albeit expensive) if you’re looking to use only super trainers. The Superblast 3 covers your recovery, daily, and long runs and the Megablast covers your workouts and fastest long runs. Having ran long runs in both, I do prefer the SB3 and that includes my long runs where I’m hovering around 5-10% slower than MP for 10 miles straight. It’s just more protective for me. If I had to push harder and touch MP or below then that’s where I would probably make the switch.
So, overall, this is (in my opinion) the superblast yet and I’m really happy with the changes they made.
Worth buying?:
If you are looking for a light weight, soft, and bouncy trainer for your easy, recovery, and easy to steady long runs I think this is a great option. If you’re looking for something with a dynamic and protective ride, it’s definitely a buy.

Shoe Model & Size: Li-Ning Ultra 9, 13 US / 47.5 CN
Fit / Comfort: snug arches, roomy heel and toe (hour glass), true to size
Use Case: Road, Treadmill, daily long distance / Ironman training
Reason for buying: increase rotation and diversity, move away from Triumph
Personal Observation: super cushion, soft feeling
Comparison: vs Triumph, similar but more springy. Find it much easier to hold high cadence (+160) on my runs.
The first feeling I had running with the Ultra 9 is the same as when I first ran with the Saucony Ride almost 20 years ago. I’m a long-term Saucony Triumph runner since the first Triumph, and although I had to get adjusted to the Triumph because of the bulkiness back then, I stuck with it over time as it helped me run countless marathons and Ironman races reliably.
However, recently I’ve started to feel let down by the Triumph 22 and 23. I loved the Triumph 21. The reliability and quality were so good. In fact, I still have some pairs I use for walking, but I wanted to try something different.
This is where the Li-Ning comes in. I’ve been travelling to China frequently lately as I’m currently working in Japan, and on a trip where I desperately needed walking shoes because my Sauconys gave out, I walked into a Li-Ning store in Chengdu and, by sheer luck, they had a size 13 US Red Hare 9 Pro. It was cheap, I liked the pink color, and within a few km of walking, I was starting to like it. I started adding it to my running shoe rotation. I found out about the Ultra 9 after digging through Rednote (Chinese TikTok). During this time, my Triumph 23 upper was starting to fall apart on the sides. While still runnable, I read that this was normal. If I’m spending $180+ USD, I expect something better.
Anyway, I ended up ordering a pair via Taobao a week prior to my trip to Chengdu, and my hotel held it for me. The process was pretty smooth.
I just completed 100 km of running (plus 4 × 20 km walks) in this shoe, and I have to say it’s a great shoe that costs only about $120 USD.

Some context:
Happy to answer any questions. Definitely will be ordering another pair or two for both my running rotation and walking rotation!
