I'm (30M) new to Rockland and staying in Blauvelt. I'm looking to see where people my age hang out and meet others. I enjoy outdoor events, breweries, hiking, board games, pretty much anything to meet people and have some fun. I'm open to the dating scene but really just looking for friends in general. Thanks in advance to everyone who replies.

I'm looking for a chill, pretty open space to host an event. Defiant was exactly what we needed, but since that's closed, I'm curious what else is in Rockland that fits the bill.

Has anybody ever sent a FOIL request through Clarkstown? How long does it typically take? I'm assuming it's a different process for all types of requests due to what kind of information you're requesting, but still curious.

My old lady that I had taken in a few years ago when it was really really cold outside is suffering and it’s time. Anyone know a place where I could have her put down affordably in Rockland or Orange County area ?

After rescuing her from the bitter subzero temperatures, she’s never really recovered. And now her health has declined considerably in a visible fashion in the past month or so. Although we are conflicted, we feel that it’s time for her to cross the bridge.

A few places we called are in our opinion very expensive (400 to 650$). If anyone knows an affordable place where we could have her put down please let us know. Thanks in advance.

I am proud to live in a community that steps up to help one another, and to call Susan Bloom a friend and colleague.

Every week, she volunteers her time delivering food to families and when the Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center ran out of food this week and deliveries couldn’t be made, Susan organized an emergency food drive to make sure our neighbors had food on their tables.

No one should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Unfortunately, cuts to SNAP funding due to the “One Big Beautiful Bill” is making that reality harder for many right here in Rockland.

It’s shaking my house

There was a small crew around the memorial along with a couple drones patrolling the area. Apparently he was shooting an ad with his family and I heard him repeating the usual 'I support this message" phrases.

Very surprised if it was him since I thought there would be more security around for a political candidate, lol.

Ain’t nobody flying over Rockland right now except for a pair of F-16 fighters…?

Just passed a moderate film production at a house on greenbush rd, after hickory. They had one orangetown cop car on the road too, probably for traffic but it’s just after 11:30 pm so the cop isn’t doing much at all lol…just wondering if anyone has any idea of what’s being filmed? It’s a residential house that’s set back off the road.
