After a Dr's appointment George sits back down to finish a magazine article but is kicked out. Kramer carries a puzzle around to get outside help. A laundromat won't change the TV channel for Jerry, the sole customer. Elaine purposely fails a psych eval but sends the joke copy to her boss.
George tries to find a copy of the magazine and learns it is exclusive sold to doctors and dentists offices. He makes dozens of appointments to try and find it.
He eventually has to go back to the first one. When he's called, he doesn't get up, raises a finger, and keeps reading, knowing after his appointment he will not be allowed to finish.
Kramer is working on a puzzle that, as he describes it, is "puzzling". It's a nature shot of a blue sky and a blue ocean with a small sailboat.
Kramer is stumped and decides to outsource it. He takes the puzzle around outside and asks for input.
Everyone gets extremely emotional and argumentative with each other about which blue is sky versus ocean "I was in the navy for 20 years!" "I grew up on a prairie!" And multiple riots start and he has to flee to protect the puzzle.
Jerry goes to the laundromat late at night. He's the only one there other than the owner, who is reading a magazine. The TV is in one of those little cages and the remote is at the register. The TV is playing some Korean soap opera.
J: "excuse me. Can you switch to channel 9? The Mets are playing on the West Coast"
O: "I'm watching"
J: "you're reading! You didnt even see me approach you til I dinged the bell!" *dings the bell*
O: "stop that"
J: "change the channel" *dings the bell* "please"
O: "that's it! You're banned!"
He forcibly ends the wash cycle and dumps Jerry's soaked clothes into his basket.
Elaine and her coworkers all receive a test from HR seeking to find out their personality types and traits to maximize performance. Elaine makes 2 copies. One she takes honestly. The other she intentionally fills out to look like a crazed psycho. She shows some coworkers, then leaves both tests at her desk and goes to lunch. When she returns only the "good" copy remains and she finds out HR collected them.
She is sent to take an in person evaluation at a clinic before she'll be allowed to work again "for our own safety". Kramer accompanies her to the clinic as "women see a whole other color spectrum men can't...like bees" and he's pretty sure it's a shade of blue.
At the clinic, she gets invested in a magazine article while ignoring Kramer. She's called in. Remembering George's issue she refuses til she can finish the article. The doctor mutters that her chart indicated she was a "difficult patient" and it all makes sense. He assumes Kramer is her handler and brings him in as well. Kramer's answers and Elainr anecdotes continually make her appear like a lunatic.
After much arguing she proves she's not unstable, but befire the doctor can sign off he gets in an argument with Kramer over a puzzle piece being "obviously an edge piece" and kicks them out.
At the end of the episode Kramer is done with the puzzle but is missing a single piece. He dramatically falls to his knees
