In a perfect timeline, how would you want Jason Todd to evolve after the events of Under the Red Hood? What kind of characteristics should he develop, and how would you handle his dynamic with the rest of the Bat-Family?
Other than keeping him perpetually at odds with the Bat-Family or turning him into DC's version of the Punisher, what other direction would you want his character to take?

I was really disappointed when we found out this is what they were doing with him. The Absolute universe is like the perfect place to let him be what he's supposed to be. Villains are already dying constantly, so it doesn't have the same insistent status quo of the mainline comics that prevented Jason from killing even the worst of them. There's way more fucked up shit that could happen way faster to get him killed in a way that would *definitely* cause more trauma than the mainline story. The Lazarus pits are already established as existing to the same capacity they do in mainline, and Talia is still alive if they wanted to have her resurrect him. And there's just so many things they could do with him that wouldn't fit the tone of the mainline universe, like imagine if this time Bruce was the one who brought him back from the grief of killing him since he's definitely more of an antagonist in this series so far.
Idk, I was really excited for Absolute Red Hood, I thought it'd be the perfect chance to atone for some of the mistakes made in the mainline universes while avoiding the wrath of DC editorial. Like, tell me he doesn't fit 10x better in Absolute Gotham. There's some evil mfs in there who need to be dead. Also, his rivalry with Batman could get a lot deeper now. It's a lot harder to justify not killing when this iteration of Batman is also chopping off hands and snapping elbows back, it'd be easier to see where Jason got the ingrained violence from. I hope they let him be the real Red Hood eventually, mech suit Joker goon Jason is just not it.
