It would seem obvious, but many of us (myself included ) would rather use the interactive map in order to get everything fast and to make a lot of $ (and I get it, if you need money, its pretty easy to just collect the card sets, and buildup your collections by taking other stuff too)

Yesterday, I decided to replay the collector role, but, how it was intended.

I equipped my best outfit for the occasion, and prepared the varmint rifle, took my binoculars and my metal detector, accompanied by my trustworthy horse.

I visited Nazar, and took her some maps, there began my journey.

I moved from destination to destination, I stopped in between to collect what I found on my way, I used lynx vision or binoculars to find buried treasures, I collected eggs, I admired the scenery and paid more attention to the land around me.

To take a break, but to stay in character, I opened some treasure maps and made some gold along the way.

I ran away from grizzlies at multiple times, and even encountered one face to face, I didn't move, and he let me live. I guess he wasn't that hungry.

It was a long but peaceful journey, a resting place for those who wants too take a break from the chaotic life in the wild West.

At the end, you can use the interactive map, and I probably will too. However, sometimes playing the collector role as intended, could be an pleasing experience for you.

Some tips: Activate vibrations (if controller),use your lynx vision A LOT, take your metal detector while you go between destinations, if you see POI's remove the metal detector as it will not vibrate even if there is an item to collect inside the house, and lastly take your time and enjoy: you may not complete an collection but you can embrace the activity 👍

Really wish R* hadn’t abandoned this game in favor of maintaining GTA V while pulling resources for GTA VI… It had so much potential.

Two outfits inspired by movie Colette (2018), it is my freestyle recreation. Story of movie is almost in the same years as RDO story therefore outfits in movie and game has similar vibe.

Previously they were both black & gold, and had been that way since I first bought them literal years ago. Decided they were due for a makeover.

I want to find a RedM server that doesn't allow AI content because I'm very tired of seeing the slop in every single pinboard and character art showcase everywhere. It's not helpful, it's not cool, it's disgusting and disheartening, especially when people then try to claim their server is a community, but then they don't actually support the creative community. Any suggestions for a better server are welcome; otherwise, I might just create my own. Thank you!

I have been playing rdr2 story mode for hundreds of hours, still haven't finished the game, I love exploring and just doing whatever I want, so I figured I'd try online so I have more freedom to do whatever. The problem is, whenever I try to do a mission, every single time, the people that join in the mission apparently take so much joy in messing the whole thing up and ruining the mission. Very high level players. I'm glad I have defensive mode on because several times the people try to shoot or throw fire bottles at me, they also tend to take whoever the target is and run in the opposite direction of the goal is. I don't know how to make it so I can do these missions by myself because I'd much rather do that then keep having to quit the game when others do this. Otherwise I'll probably just not try online play anymore

I like to play red dead online with max high honor, even though it has no much effects on the gameplay. I really rage when my bar even drops 1 level But these hackers are just ragebaiters. First time, like 5 days ago, I was in blackwater, a hacker came, summoned like 10 grizzly bears then a black tornado, and then trapped me in like 40 cages then my honor dropped from white to red, with the sign rampage and slaughter like i murdered like a thousand policemen, then i completely raged and just wasted my 3 gold and wasted 3 hours feeding my horse and maxed it out. Today two hackers came, killed me, then became invincible, then killed me again, the decreased my honor(i didn't noticed this time) then I left thinking if I stay again they might decrease my honor which I dont wanted again, and when I join the other lobby I see, my honor decreased again and now I have to waste more 3 gold which i grinded doing the daily challanges and also my game isn't opening now and keeps crashing. Like wtf can i even do?

I was foraging for bay bolete mushrooms (for Cripps’ special stew) around Manzanita Post when I heard the Legendary Snow Buck. So I head off, hunt it down, and kill it. Great! Cripps is running low and this will help out. So I throw it on my horse and then try setting up wilderness camp to fast travel— “There is not an open campsite…” Grr. Fine. Manzanita Post is nearby but just as I get there — “You have been disconnected from Red Dead Online…” for fuck sake.

Anyway, I get back on and have a moonshine delivery to make. I recently moved my shack to New Hanover and the delivery location is the abandoned trading post. Deliver my shine and the yellow legendary “?” flashes up. No way! The Legendary Knight Moose! This will help make up for the Legendary Snow Buck. So again, I hunt it down and kill it. Then I skin it and before I can even get the pelt on my horse (which was right next to me), the pelt just disappears from my character’s arms… what. the. fuck. Rockstar?!

I ended up just ragequitting. There’s absolutely no point raising a ticket with Rockstar either. The last time I did they took a week to not reply and then just closed the ticket. I love this game. I just wish Rockstar did half as much as we players do… </rant>

What’s the longest legendary bounty mission in this game? I’m tired of waiting around at the end so I want a mission that gives me something to do for as long as possible.

I’ve found that sometimes “Shepherd” Virgil Edwards can take a while but I still find myself waiting at the end even on 5 star difficulty.

Any tips and experiences would be appreciated.

This is my character Free St. walker

He has a simple backstory for now.

-His Father was an Older Russian man who migrated to Canada after a lengthy military service.

-His Mother was a Cree Woman who resided in the Northwest Territories.

-He was Born July 13th 1862 (making him 32 I believe)

-Although he doesn’t have formal military training I like to believe his dad taught him a few things about tactics and how to operate a weapon.

-His mother taught him the way of the land with first hand experience.

-He fought in the Northwest West Resistance at the age of 23 until the very end, He was on the losing side.

-After losing the battle he migrated around Canada doing odd jobs that required muscle to make ends meet.

-Years later he found himself wandering aimlessly from Saloon to Saloon until he got into a fight with a former government official in a drunken rage, While attempting to kill said officer the victim broke a glass bottle across Free’s face permanently scarring him for life.

-He found himself in prison expecting a noose around his neck at anytime.

-After the jailbreak he paid back his debt to the woman who helped him, Now a free man once again he took up work as a bounty Hunter to make ends meet.

-Still has a distaste for any government and continues his criminal activities.

Soooo I just didn’t get paid for a bounty?? I also keep getting kicked out and I SWEAR I’m losing a couple hundred dollars. The game is registering that I bought in a bounty because it ticked off a daily challenge but genuinely just did not pay me. I’m on PS5. Also I don’t think I’m getting the 3X bonus???
