Kyle 🤠 Season 10 Kyle is a lot different to previous seasons where

• Upvotes

I’m currently on Kyle’s BBQ in season 10 where Denise runs off, and reflecting on what I’ve watched on this season so far, Kyle is way more mean, rude and entitled compared to previous seasons, for example calling Denise a ragamuffin or attacking Erika and Dorit’s relationship. It feels like a shift compared to previous seasons where she seems more poised and less judgemental, I wonder what caused the shift. A couple of theories I have are that maybe she was going through personal problems or problems in her marriage which made her more snappy and agitated, or she felt like she could finally let her true colours out and act more entitled because she had sort of replaced LVP as ā€˜leader’ of the group, and was kind of on a high from ā€˜taking down’ such a powerful figure. What do you guys think?

Edit: I know the title doesn’t make sense it won’t let me change it lol

Discussion Who was the worst RHOBH HW of all time? And what could have saved her?

Who in your opinion was the worst fulltime HW in RHOBH history? Not necessarily the most villain .... but the one who just didn't work for the show?

What made her such a bad fit (boring, overly produced, unlikeable, unwilling to share her life, something else)?

Could production (or the HW herself) have done anything different to make her a better HW? Or was there just no way it was ever going to work?

Interested to hear everyone's picks? And why, and could something have made her better?

Yolanda šŸ‹ First time watching season 3 and Yolanda is aggrevating me

Iā€˜m sorry but the comments about Gigi doing Volleyball making her too masculine and appear like a lesbian, her comments about drunk women being ugly (as if that was the biggest issue about the drinking) and her comments on Gigi’s body make me so nervous. It’s so much internalized misogyny and fatphobia. I know it’s an old reality tv series following rich white women but it makes the season borderline unwatchable to me..

I’m a new watcher. I’m on season 10. Dorit was actually the second one to clock that there was lesbian vibes with Kyle. First one was Allison Dubois. Lol

Kyle 🤠 Kyle down fall for me...

Never been the biggest fan of Kyle, but she has her moments where she has been funny and sweet. However the start of season 13 is where she loses me, being upset about what Dorit said at bravo con. When she was asked to rank the Richards sisters, it was a funny cute moment. Clearly a joke. Why was Kyle so upset by that??

LVP 🐩 Binging after watching VPR. Why is LVP the only manipulator?

Okay so i’m absolutely obsessed with this show so far. These women are so unhinged i love it. On season 3 episode 4.

But my question… LVP is definitely not a good person and it’s really highlighted in VPR. The way she consistently excuses men’s bad behavior is so gross.
In this show I can definitely see how she can be manipulated but why do people act like she’s some sort of evil genius?

Brandi is a grown ass woman who is not an idiot she willingly started all these nasty fights and made these nasty remarks to the other housewives.

I would say Kyle/Adrienne are just as sneaky as LVP. Lisa beat Adrienne but Kyle ended up beating LVP, why isn’t Kyle considered the evil genius then.

It’s just weird to me because all the women are manipulative in their own ways but they’re also GROWN women with their own autonomy like i don’t feel sorry for them saying ā€œLisa manipulated me into saying and doing these horrible thingsšŸ„¹šŸ„¹ā€

But i will say Lisa and Kyle play their roles as housewives very well I cannot wait to see their falling out and to see how Rinna fits into all this mess!

Sutton 🩰 Sutton and Crystal S12…

This was so disappointing to watch as a black viewer. These girls do not care about having the tough conversations, they’re just worried about how saying the wrong thing will make them look..
Crystal and Sutton talk about it in S11 -the white woman ends up in tears off the bare minimum. Crystal never gets to make her point.

Crystal and Sutton talk about it in S12- the white woman and all the other white women are more concerned about Suttons reputation. Crystals point goes unheard. Everyone just feigns confusion to her point but heavily admonishes her delivery.

Sutton clearly weaponizes her emotions. Nobody ever gets to have a meaningful conversation about race bc she’ll run off crying as if racism ever affects her beyond being called one…take as old as time. Racism gets brought up and suddenly the white woman in the room is the victim, the focal point, the moment honey everything under the sun except the purveyor bc that would make her a bad person. Always more worried about herself , never the person in front her.

The irony is that part of the pervasive forms that racism shows up isn’t always direct slurs. It can also come through silencing people of color. And rather than actually discussing Crystals thoughts more thoroughly, the white women ran to coddle …. The white woman. Her poor reputation šŸ™„ oml Crystals explanation for why ā€œI don’t see colorā€ was not nearly as elevated as Suttons feelings about race related conversations.

And shame on Garcelle, bc she’s honestly the only other one in the group that could possibly understand Crystals position with Sutton, but she felt more compelled to create a rift between that friendship. Probably bc she knows none of her other ones on this show are at all authentic but that’s a different discussion.

Sutton 🩰 Thoughts on Sutton on my umpteenth rewatch…

I really rooted for Sutton when she first appeared. I really loved the ā€œfriendshipā€ with Crystal and Garcelle. But now, in retrospect I have some thoughts about her. I think when she joined the group and as new people came in, she was really going through a hormonal shift and was feeling sensitive and insecure about her divorce. She was kind of a mess. In the Tahoe episodes, funnily enough, it came up about Paris Hilton using her phone as a way to keep people away. The women say how you really need to consider that we don’t know what people are going through. But then all the women continue to pick at her. If someone is crying all the time, there’s something else going on.

Edit to add: But as seasons go on and the falling out with Garcelle, I think, she’s just not very mature or nice really. I don’t really like any of these ladies. They all annoy me.

Question What's the most successful product or business launch we've seen from a HW?

There's been:

  • Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants, wine, flowers, pet products
  • Kyle's boutiques
  • Erika's music, performance shows, and broadway
  • Brandi's podcast and books
  • Adrienne's shoes and vodka
  • Rinna's QVC clothes and lipsticks
  • Dorit's bathing suits, bridal line, and now her memoir/book tour
  • Amanda's upcoming book events

Who do you think has actually been the best at converting RHOBH exposure into real business success? And on the flip side, whose launches seemed like they had a lot of hype but didn't really gain traction? Not just about who's the richest or most liked or has the biggest name, but whose audience actually shows up and buys?

Lisa Rinna šŸ’‹ Season 11, Episode 4 The Hypocrisy!

When Lisa brings up a story about Harry Hamlin’s friend who r@#$& someone in comparison to what happened with Denise the previous season is crazy! Who knows what has gone on with Denise but for Rinna to compare it to that is very dark. She’s so horrible.

Kyle 🤠 Season 10 denise & Kyle

I pretty much know what happens this season. (Just looking now and it says ma'am posts have to be 30 characters. I always think people are gonna assume im a woman on here. Idk why and this has just confirmed itšŸ˜‚)

ANYWAY

Kyle is being worse than I thought. Idk how to explain it but shes just being horrible then acting like a victim or she just runs away.

This honestly seems like a rough season for kyle. I didnt think she'd be back hut as we all know kyle always comes back.

It seems like the only person on Denise's side is garcelle who comes and goes as she pleases šŸ˜‚ i don't blame her tbh.

I think Denise was over reacting about the kids thing but idc. I dont think it was a big deal like it was made out to be. She didnt want her kids hearing that. She over reacted and nobody could let it go. It was so pathetic.

Aaron is annoying. Patronising. Condescending. But he does make some good points.

Erika is being weird with him. Shes being annoying but only as annoying as he is and again shes making good points.

Rinna isnt being as bad as ive heard as far as i can see. I saw a post a few years ago saying who's the most evil housewife and this was as i started watch my first 2 franchises. Potomac and salt lake city. All of the comments were saying lisa rinna and I googled her and she did look a bit evil šŸ˜‚. I've seen a few moments that I dont love and I do think shes ganging up in denise a bit but to say she was the most evil? Hello? Lisa rinna. Really? Theres a million people I'd put before her. Anyway whatever.

Discussion Why is RHOBH against bringing back past HWs for new diamonds?

For some reason, RHOBH has gone 15 seasons having NEVER brought back a former HW. It is the ONLY HW show to stick to "once you are gone.....you are either gone or a friend of". WHy do you think that is? And who should be the first one to break that spell?

RHOC - Lydia/Heather/Tamra/Vicki all returned after leaving

RHONY - Bethenny/Carole....and to an extent Lu (she was never gone, just demoted but....still)

RHOA - Nene/Kenya/Porsha

RHOP - Karen

RHONJ - Dina

RHOSLC - Mary

Question Did The Agency Change Kyle and Kathy’s Relationship?

Post image
149 Upvotes

Watching RHOBH back, I’ve started to think that The Agency changed much more than Mauricio’s career. It may have permanently shifted the balance of power within Kyle and Kathy’s family.

For years, the Hiltons seemed to occupy the highest position in the family. Rick had built one of the most prestigious real estate businesses in Los Angeles, Mauricio worked for him, and Kathy represented a level of wealth and social status that felt almost untouchable.

Looking back, one thing has always stood out to me. Despite Mauricio’s success, Rick never made him a partner. From the outside, it seems like a decision that could have benefited everyone, especially considering they were family. Instead, Mauricio left and built The Agency from scratch.

Ironically, that decision changed everything. The Agency became one of the biggest luxury real estate firms in the country and made Mauricio enormously successful. Rather than remaining under Rick’s umbrella, he built an empire of his own.
At the same time, Kyle’s life was changing too. RHOBH turned her into one of Bravo’s biggest stars, giving her a level of public recognition that eventually surpassed everyone else in the family. Kathy still had the Hilton name, but millions of people around the world came to know Kyle through the show.

Growing up, Kyle often seemed like the little sister living in Kathy’s shadow. But over time, Kyle and Mauricio no longer seemed to need the Hiltons for status, wealth, or influence. They had built all of that themselves.
That’s why I’ve always wondered whether The Agency represented more than a business dispute. Maybe it symbolized the moment the old family hierarchy began to change.

It also makes me think differently about the Aspen fallout. Whether or not everything Lisa Rinna claimed Kathy said is true, the allegation that Kathy wanted to ā€œtake Kyle downā€ painted a picture of resentment that many viewers found believable because of the family dynamic we’d watched for years. Even setting Rinna’s version aside, there were several moments throughout the series where it felt as though Kathy struggled with Kyle stepping out of the Hilton family’s shadow and becoming powerful in her own right.

Maybe that’s reading too much into it. But looking back, I can’t help wondering if the real conflict was never just about clients leaving Hilton & Hyland.
Maybe it was about something much bigger.
In many ways, The Agency may have marked the moment they finally broke free from the Hilton family’s orbit.

Was this ever really about business, or was it about Kyle and Mauricio finally breaking free from the Hilton family’s influence ?

Dorit šŸ‘— Looking back, I wonder if the robbery was the moment Dorit and PK stopped living the same experience ?

Post image
659 Upvotes

Dorit seemed genuinely traumatized afterward and struggled with PTSD. PK, on the other hand, often came across as wanting life to move on much faster than she could. Watching it back, it sometimes felt like they were grieving two completely different events.

What makes the whole story so tragic to me is the context surrounding it. Their finances had already become the subject of endless speculation, and they had spent years projecting an incredibly luxurious lifestyle. Whether that pressure was real or simply perceived, it felt like they had been carrying an enormous weight for a long time.

There have always been rumors and theories online about what really happened that night. I have no idea whether there’s any truth to them, and I’m not claiming there is. But if there really were serious financial pressures behind the scenes, it makes the entire situation feel even more heartbreaking. What may have started as an attempt to build or protect a certain lifestyle ultimately seemed to leave Dorit carrying very real trauma.

Whether or not people believe every detail of the robbery, the emotional aftermath felt real to me. Sometimes it seemed like PK became frustrated with Dorit’s inability to ā€œmove on,ā€ while Dorit desperately needed her trauma to be understood and validated.

Looking back, I wonder if the robbery itself wasn’t the real beginning of the end of their marriage. Maybe it was the moment they realized they were no longer trying to survive the same crisis.

Do you think the robbery was the beginning of the end of their marriage, or had they already reached that point long before?

Discussion Season 10 and inappropriate discussions?

These women seem so committed to ganging up on Denise and opposing her regarding the sex talk at her pizza party. Just because she talks one way when the kids aren’t around doesn’t mean she wants to talk that way around her kids and kid’s friends. Who can’t understand that? It’s a very basic idea. I also think because of who the father of her kids is, she’s maybe a little freaked out about how they will grow up and tries to tone it down. Why wouldn’t they just respect that? And Kyle getting all pissy because she had a diamond ice sculpture was bizarre.

Kyle 🤠 Season 2 a DIFFERENT side to Kyle!

I initially watches the RHOBH from the season Denise joined. But have decided to go back and watch from the beginning.

First season Kyle is so cool and not bitchy at all. This season with Brandi and she is absolutely horrid to her. It gives credence to some of the stuff the unhinged Alison Dubious was saying about Kyle, because she is being such a bully. Im at the oart where its game night and Kim has just hidden the Brandis crutches? Omg! Lol.
