Over a week ago we took the decision to disable the RES Account Switcher due to a change Reddit made which prevented the feature from working, more information on that here. We chose to disable it due to an already increasing rate of support issues and messages with it being broken, when there was not a lot we could do about it.
Since then we have been in contact with Reddit and as of today the functionality has been re-enabled for us.
What does this mean?
Right now you can turn the module on and it should work, we will be releasing an update in the next few days to automatically re-enable it for all users.
We'd like to thank Reddit for reaching out to us to get this resolved fast, from writing this post it was less than 5 hours since first contact to getting the feature working again!

When using the Filterline filter, I have a basic filter, 'visited'. I normally filter out the visited items.
As of today, this filter seems to just not work. When I invert it (to only show visited links), it does show a handful, but then when I switch it back to block visited links, it's still showing mostly visited items.
Where does it happen? In Filterline, any subreddit.
What browser extensions are installed? No new ones recently (in between the filter working, and now)

With the recent issues of the account switcher no longer working due to Reddit changes. We have taken the decision to disable the account switcher from RES and migrate people who have it enabled to be turned off.
With the endpoint no longer working and no option for us, we do not want to set expectation that it should work.
We will be releasing 5.24.9 today with this and a few quality of life bug fixes.
The module can still be found here.
More information here.

What's up?
A day or two ago RES stopped being able to switch/login into reddit accounts. If I click and choose an account it gives me an error:
"Could not switch accounts. Reddit may be under heavy load. Please try again in a few moments."
The only way to switch or login is to click "sign up" and the choose "login" from reddit dialog box that pops up.
What browser extensions are installed?
old reddit redirect, adblock plus free, ublock origin, 1password, RES

I know it's a new feature they rolled out earlier in the month, but does anyone know of a solution for them other that just "oh well. this still won't get me to use mobile or new reddit"?

What's up? For images displaying as "<image>" and the icon of a camera. When I click on the icon of a camera, the image is displayed and the "<image>" changes to "<image>[1]" and the camera icon is replaced by an "X".
Where does it happen? All subreddits where an image is indicated by "<image>" and a camera icon.
There's probably an existing RES or Reddit setting to prevent the display of "[1]" but I cannot find it.

What's up? Starting relatively recently -- last week, I'd say? -- every time I open Reddit, I am presented with the dropbox login screen again. I use RES automatic backup to Dropbox. I log in, go about my day and then the next time I open reddit again... the same thing occurs. It does not appear to be saving my authentication for RES. This may be a recurrence of https://github.com/honestbleeps/Reddit-Enhancement-Suite/issues/4358
Where does it happen? Every time I open a new reddit tab (on macOS, Chrome)
Screenshots or mock-ups It's just the dropbox login window
What browser extensions are installed? Loooong list. 1Password, Obsidian, UBlock Origin, Privacy Badger...

The past few days is seems like hiding posts doesn't actually hide them anymore. Anyone know what's going on?
Edit 5/20: This seems to have been fixed. Whether someone fixed it on purpose or it was a side effect of a different issue is unknown.

What's up? I visit https://www.reddit.com/subreddits/mine/ and can see a list of subreddits, then a list of users I follow. Each user has a "Unfollow" button under their listing. Clicking it changes it to "Follow" indicating I've successfully unfollowed them. Yet they do not go away. Reloading page, or going to "My Subreddits" list, they are still there. Is there some other way, on PC, to unfollow someone?
Where does it happen? https://www.reddit.com/subreddits/mine/, right side column of subreddits and users

Lately I've noticed subreddits won't load past the first page, and I don't have an option to try and load the next 25 posts. When I try to open the RES settings console, nothing happens. Does anyone know what's up and how I can fix it? It's kind of breaking my entire reddit experience on web to be honest.

What's up?
For a month or so /r/BORUpdates hasn't had any new posts. The only way to view a new post is to either disable RES or go to New Reddit mode. This is the only subreddit effected.
Browser Extensions: ublock origin, and DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials

What's up? in old.reddit.com it does not show text of a post if there is also a picture. This goes away if I disable RES.

What's up?
Reddit API has changed where inline images are no longer a link, and instead you'll just see the text "Processing img [whatever]..."
To be clear this isn't an actual bug with RES, but I hope it's something that RES can fix.
Where does it happen?
old.reddit.com when viewing posts with inline images.
Screenshots or mock-ups
https://old.reddit.com/r/helldivers2/comments/1rpwpia/new_warbond/o9o1xpn/ will show the text
https://old.reddit.com/r/helldivers2/comments/1rpwpia/new_warbond/o9o1xpn.json will show the actual JSON data
Scrolling through that data shows that media_metadata points to the actual GIF here: /img/uzo62lev18og1.gif
hat tip to /u/Littux in this thread for finding the json data https://old.reddit.com/r/oldreddit/comments/1roq1ss/never_seen_old_reddit_do_this_before_normally_it/

I hate the overwhelming majority of subreddit styles and usually turn them off when browsing a sub. I just want to turn them all off by default.

Logged on this morning (via old.reddit.com), and all links now appear in bold? (screenshot below) Is this something I did inadvertently, or are others seeing this as well?
r/RESissues • u/triplestep • Jan 28 '26
--EDIT-- Seems to be working again.
Up/Down voting from the RES Dashboard is returning 500 errors (looking at the POST response). I don't see this using RES on other pages (e.g. the comments page). Tested both in Firefox and Chrome.

What's up?
I'm going crazy here-- i feel like it's actually Reddit Reddit but why would they do something so stupid. Basically when I press Cmnd+R on my keyboard, i go to a random profile. When I press Cmnd+F, whatever subreddit I'm looking at gets favorited
Where does it happen?
This is happening throughout the website. If i press either of these combinations, my intended action doesn't work (take a guess what I'm trying to do)
What browser extensions are installed? I don't have many extensions on my browser
