The BLM are attempting to remove a 10-mile buffer that protects Chaco from new oil and gas drilling. Not only is the natural landscape at risk but so are the thousands of archeological and cultural sites. Please send a message in opposition if you can.

Please do everything in your power to protect, preserve, and restore all of the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments, and undo the executive order signed by our President on Monday, 7/20/2026. This order ensures the destruction of around 3 million acres, reducing each preserve by around 90%. These lands are a national treasure, they belong to the public, not the oil and gas industry and private/corporate developers. The corruption behind this giveaway is blatant and must be investigated. These monuments preserve cultural sites, landscapes, and wildlife in their original and natural state, and once development is allowed to destroy and deface these places, they are permanently dead and gone.

We cannot have our cake and eat it too, keep public lands wild and for preserving our increasingly declining and incredibly precious natural beauty and diversity and cultural heritage. Our home is a rock in space, and it is the only place we have where such unique places exist and life thrives; it is a miracle, the only one of its kind. Once we destroy or deface a pristine wild place, it is gone for good, we will never have it back in its flawless and untrammeled beauty.

Everyday we take more bites out of the natural world, we chip away at it with greed, and soon there will be nothing left. I don't want to live in a dead world, where nothing is left untouched by the ravages of greed. Do you?

Please undo this terrible executive order, and investigate the corruption driving it and the landslide of public lands giveaways under this administration.

Write your letters as d make your calls to stop this theft of protected public lands.

With the recent reduction in public lands in the state of Utah, what is there we could expect to see aside from the privatization of that land? Why don't we have protections for public land that once designated it cannot be undone, in other words grow but never reduce? If this becomes the norm we look at a breakdown of ecological environments throughout the country that are unique to the United States. The threat of big oil for instance in the arctic near our wildlife preserve ANWR is a good example of this. In short, why aren't public lands protected more seriously like they aught to be and what can we do to fix that?

Today I found some BLM land and drove towards it on a dirt road. There was no sign marking it as private property at any point, but eventually the road was in between a cluster of solar panels on one side and a house 400 feet away on the other side. There was no fencing around this property and as mentioned earlier there was no private property sign or no trespassing sign. It was obvious that I was crossing on someone's property and so I turned around. After doing some research at home I did find the owners name and phone number. I am not familiar with California's rules regarding a road that leads to public land and what must be done and is not allowed. I wanted to call the landowner and ask if it was ok to pass through to get to the public land in order to hike it. Is that ok to do? Should I mention to the landowner something else? Is there certain regulations I should be aware of?

Looking for something along the lines of BHA, but for offroading rather than hunting/fishing?

Existing orgs like Blue Ribbon Coalition are beyond extremists. The firehose of disinformation is just exhausting. They honestly seem more like a front group that borrows credibility from offroaders to push through regulatory changes that extractive industry is seeking, more than anything else.

Would like to find an org that focuses on stewardship and partnering with land managers to develop recreation opportunities - without treating wilderness and roadless as dirty words, and without pushing back against sensible road closures.

Every organization I've looked into seems to follow the BRC mold though, and push an access-at-all-costs FOMO/loss-driven narrative that is just so unproductive, and disconnected from reality.

Any recommendations?
