Solo dev here. A year ago I was paying for five different apps — habit tracker, workout log, calorie counter, budget app, meditation app — and none of them talked to each other. So I built Flexy: a LifeOS that brings all of them into one iOS app, flowing into a single daily plan.

I'll be honest about where I am: the app is live, localized in 13 languages, obsessively polished (native Liquid Glass on iOS 26, everything hand-crafted)... and I have 3 paying subscribers. Building turned out to be the easy part — getting anyone to see it is the real boss fight.

One thing I recently learned the hard way: I used to force account creation before you could even see the app. People downloaded, hit the signup wall, and left. Last week I shipped guest mode — you now walk straight in, no account, and your data stays on your device.

I launched ExportFolio on Product Hunt today.

I built it because I kept hitting the same boring wall: work was already finished on Behance, then someone asked for a PDF, a portfolio site, or a clean backup, and I was rebuilding the same projects manually.

ExportFolio starts with public Behance work you own or have permission to export.

The free path gives up to three selected project PDFs per rolling day with no signup. For bigger jobs, it can also create a static Webfolio ZIP you can host yourself and a structured Portfolio Archive ZIP for backup or handoff.

The Webfolio is a downloadable site, not a hosting plan. The PDF keeps the project’s layout, styled text modules, and colour treatment where the public source allows.

i basically never post on here but figured its time to share something. To beupfront: the app is one i'm building on my own and i'm looking for beta testers who'll get free lifelong access once i release it (hoping to make it free at some point too).

its called screeny and yeah, its yet another screentime app... but hear me out. i built it because no screentime app just worked for me. They're all either overpriced or gimmicky with features i only use for a week, month max. And i've tried a lot (pushscroll, opal, brainrot, unrot, screenzen, refocus and more) and none stuck long term.

But phone addiction isn't just an problem of our nieche, its everyone, and almost no one realizes how normal its gotten. Scrolling while eating, gaming on the phone while watching a movie, hanging with friends while everyone's on their phone. So i started building Screeny a few months ago and reworked the design and core concepts many many times unitl its simple enought with a few unique bits and a personal touch.

Even my non-techie friends already use it, so i figured i'd get some outside feedback too.

Some of the things it can do:

• usage based limit blocking (daily limit in minutes for a single app or groups of apps)
• only allow groups
• schedule based blocking
• always manual unblock first (so distracting apps stay blocked)
• physical key to unlock (printable qr codes or, what i prefer, nfc tags)
• automatic doomscroll detection + personalized pauses if stuck on an app too long
• waiting a couple seconds before opening apps

(you can make a single app or a folder and apply any combo of these rules - or let them apply automatically)

a few of my own setups:

• highest pers. blocking setting so i only get a couple minutes of social media at a time at once
• 30 min time limit on social media apps (started higher, decreased over time)
• from 1am everything except spotify and alarm locks and only unlocks once i finish breakfast and scan an nfc tag in the kitchen, or at 12am if i wait
• and many more...

hope its clear this is my passion project and not a cash grab. its honestly should be my least important project right now 😅 but i keep coming back to it, and it feels like the right time to get some testers for it. If you already use one of those apps and you're happy, ignore this. But if you're open to trying something new, reach out! Any feedback helps.

Its been 2 weeks since I hit live on the app store I've had a handful of users. Which is great because it allowed me to fix the bugs that were reported and suggestions i received on how to make the app better from real parents. Now that the updates are done i'm looking to get this app out there so it can serve its purpose. The apps purpose is to allow your child to be creative , encourage them to read and for the parent to sneak in a little lesson. The idea is NOT to take them away from books. When they are on screen time they don't need to be watching or playing games they could also be reading a book which they star in. The text is created by referencing over 99,000 children's book and following patterns from different age groups.

I'm all ears on suggestions, feedbacks and any new features you may think is a great add!

The app already allows you to make stories with your pet, stuffed toys, and multi-characters (parents,siblings,friends).

I just launched Correlate on Product Hunt today after a couple of weeks of being live to the public. Correlate is my attempt to fill the gap between white glove financial advice gated by high fees and the plethora of budgeting apps available to the public. I'll spare you the details of the product, please check out the PH launch if you're interested. Instead, here's what I've learned so far trying to launch a consumer app in the personal finance space.

1. Leverage your network - the majority of my users remain close friends or people in my professional network. My career is in private wealth management where I have established a track record of success and credibility. Right now that is my biggest asset and I am leaning into it as much as possible. A colleague of mine was willing to try out the product after just 2 weeks of me building it and gave me 2 full Google Doc pages of comments and thoughts. Those 2 pages helped me refine glaring gaps in the product at a very early stage. Which leads me to point 2...
2. Launch yesterday - of course this is highly dependent on what your product is and the domain you operate in but getting the product in front of users or potential users before its finished will allow you to spot issues early on and form a bit of a roadmap. I had my own ideas of what features I wanted but my first earliest users wanted something completely different so I had to go in the direction that they wanted while putting my own perspective on it. Your next feature is not going to be the secret sauce that magically solves PMF, hearing what your users actually want and building it is how you find PMF. It can be scary to hand an unfinished product to someone but...
3. Be vulnerable and be proud - it's scary putting yourself out there and asking people to give their opinions on something you've spent a lot of time and effort on. Whether it's friends, family, or strangers on the internet it can be hard to receive criticism. But the quicker you can learn to take the feedback constructively, the quicker you'll be able and willing to show more people your product and get their feedback. That being said, take pride in what you've built and what you're building towards.
4. Be honest and organic - most importantly, people want to feel connected to the product or person they are working with. Take the time to make the product truly yours and rooted in your vision. Don't just let Claude do the design, go do the research of competitor UIs, look at Figma templates, look at Famer templates, watch YouTube videos, etc. That extra mile gets noticed and can be the difference between someone immediately clicking away or staying for an extra 3 seconds. Honesty also goes a long way, people can spot untruthfulness. I have worked on projects with other people who want to make bold claims and use fake numbers/social credibility but I absolutely refuse to ever do that. Instead I try to put value out into the world and hope that the generosity is reciprocated.

I’ve been building AVE, a local-first AI video editor for Mac for a while now.

AVE's purpose is to avoid the usual prompt-to-finished-file workflow. AVE understands the footage, prepares an edit plan, and makes real timeline changes after you approve them.

The result is still a normal video project. With timeline, editable layers, etc. You can inspect the work, change it, undo it, and keep editing.

I built much of AVE with Codex. Now Codex can connect back through MCP and edit timelines inside AVE, which is slightly circular but genuinely useful.

It launched on Product Hunt today as part of OpenAI Day.

I’m curious what editors think about the review-before-editing approach. Does keeping every AI change visible and editable make you more likely to use it?
