Thanks everyone for the feedback on my last post. I appreciated all the suggestions and encouragement.
I went ahead and put something together, so here's the event if anyone is interested!
Prescott Single & Social (Ages 35–49)
📅 Friday, August 21
🕖 7:00–9:00 PM
📍 The Cove
This isn't a speed dating event. The goal is simply to create a welcoming space for single adults to meet people, make friends, and build community. If relationships develop naturally, great—but that's not the focus.
No cover charge. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
If you've been looking for more community and opportunities to connect with other single adults in Prescott, we'd love to have you there.

Hey Prescott! I’m working on building a small Discord community for people across the Southwest who want to make friends and connect with new people.
I’m curious if anyone in Prescott would be interested in something like this. We have spaces for general conversations, friendships, gaming, neurodivergent people, trips, and an optional 18+ dating section.
I’m not currently organizing events in Prescott. I’m mainly hoping to give people in the area another way to meet and connect with others across the Southwest.
If you’re interested, feel free to comment or DM me and I can tell you more!

With the very heavy monsoon rain we just had in Prescott, along with areas of runoff and localized flooding, there are likely a number of properties dealing with water getting where it shouldn’t.
If you had water enter your property and need someone to check for hidden moisture or determine what needs to be dried or removed, feel free to reach out.
In this photo, the thermal camera is showing wet drywall almost 2 feet high. The wall and floor don’t even look wet, which is why hidden moisture can easily go unnoticed and lead to additional damage or mold growth if not properly addressed.
I own 1-800 WATER DAMAGE of Prescott & North Scottsdale. We’re local, IICRC certified, and available for inspections and water mitigation.

I want to thank handle SnooPineapples393 for finding Petition against Flock Cameras. Let’s get a lot of signatures to help starve the growing Data Centers in Prescott and in our state.

Anybody make it up to the peak and able to give some directions? I’ve tried following the rock cairns but they seem to end and then I can’t find a way up and just end up wandering around for awhile looking for some sort of path. Any tips?

With all the talk about Flock safety right now, I'd like to collectively address all the people saying "So what" with a local tragedy that was enabled by flock cameras that people seem to have forgotten.
If the officers would have been forced to do even a little bit of investigative legwork instead of being able to just ask an AI where Daniel was, they would have discovered that he didn't really do any of the things he was being accused of. If you make a cop's job trivially easy in a way that encourages cutting corners, they'll stop taking it seriously and when a cop isn't taking their job seriously people die. That's been proven right here in our city. Its the same story with the fire chief incident; laziness driven incompetence is a real problem among our officers and flock safety is demonstrably enabling that behavior.

I am from the white mountains in AZ - currently living in Mesa. desperately miss a community and tight knit slower life BUT I don’t want to go to my hometown. Also DESPERATELY want to go to cooler weather.
Husband and I are both in our 20’s and we have 2 young children
My husband loves Williams, I’m leaning more towards Prescott valley- but have heard it’s just for old folk.
Any advice welcome

These cameras are ubiquitous in authoritarian countries like China**. You can’t turn one way or another and not see at least five analyzing you! This is not about “safety”. It is about unconstitutional surveillance and building a national database on every American citizen. Digital IDs are next. This is a tyrannical government’s wet dream. We all must join together to end this violence to our rights. (and whatever you do, don’t vandalize:) ) https://www.reddit.com/r/2Aradicals/s/7Am9sepAlK
**To see a load of surveillance cameras in Shanghai, China: https://www.rferl.org/a/china-surveillance-tech-covid-protests/32155321.html China, at the start—foot in the door technique—had only a few too. CAVEAT!

In the talking phases of opening a music venue in central Prescott. We come from DIY punk/hardcore roots, but now work in the music industry™️ touring with various bigger artists. We moved back to Prescott (originally from here) after being gone for a handful of years, and have noticed a thirst for music that isn’t strictly cover bands at bars. We wanted to feel out the community to see what type of shows we could eventually book :)

Hello friends, I am looking for a vet in the Dewey Prescott area for my giant derp. His name is Hoss The Boss Earl Scruggs Silas Holley Jr. "Hoss" for short. He is a rescue dog from the Yavapai humane society, he is a 4 year old great Dane. I'm looking for a vet that is familiar with bloat (hopefully that won't ever happen) and big doggies. I am also looking for any doggy adventure suggestions as I would like to keep him socialized with other doggy friends.
Here is the doggie tax.

He was my best friend from high school in Arkansas and made his way to Prescott in the mid-1990s. In 2006, I finally made my way out there to spend a couple of weeks with him and had a great time drinking too much beer, hanging out at The Raven, and solving the world’s problems in the process.
He passed way too young in 2012. Does anyone remember him? If so, I’d like to hear your stories. It’s kind of like John Prine’s The Missing Years.

Moved here a few months back and where is all the good food at?
Eating out here makes me feel like I have lingering covid symptoms or something.
Can’t taste anything

I want to have a small 15-20 people memorial event for my father who recently passed away. Looking for suggestions from this gang for a restaurant that would have a private room we could share stories and celebrate him. TIA

Are there any mobile diesel mechanics with scan tools and the like willing to help me diagnose my truck? It’s been sitting for 2 years and I’ve exhausted my knowledge and experience. Shops give me unreasonable numbers for diagnostic. Pretty sure I need a compression test. Do I even have any options other than 10k for a new engine or parting it out? Please help…

Just like his buddy Swalwell.

Hi come join us for some good Americana tunes with the most charming front-woman you will ever meet :)
Also don’t miss the solo act in the middle, a Southern Gothic good time.
(Mods delete this if not allowed).
Thank you and see you there!

What would you say are some good dog-friendly places one could visit during a day trip? If it helps, it's a pug who can definitely fit into a dog-backpack.
I live on the other side of Mingus so I know that no matter what it depends on the weather too.
TIA!

Have my own car, willing to drive out. Basses and bass cabinets, pedals and SOME recording equipment + DAW.
Looking to jam out, and work on some songs with people!
I play bass and while hoping to maybe start writing original songs with a band or group I am open to other things.
I am more then willing to just jam for fun or send recordings/record for artists/producers and bands as well.
I can play jazz, rock, blues, funk, trip hop, hip hop, and metal.
If offered to join a cover band then something along the lines of - the notations/the jazz messengers/the breeders/glassjaw/korn/despised icon. NOT ozzy osbourne/kublhai khan/avenged sevenfold/guns and roses/sleep token.
I know I sound like a real fart sniffer with those yes and no's for cover bands but thats all this town seems to offer, I want something either unique or real old school. Thankyou!
I also know how to lay down some leads or mellow for the rythm just shoot me a reply or DM. I'm a pretty mellow fellow and can jive with most people as long as they aren't hateful or judgemental (wink! Wink! On politics). Have a nice day, thankyou!!!
