I've been going through my most recent rewatch, and a small thing clicked that hadn't before. Two of Harper's identities are Athena (for her document forgery gig) and Agent Wickham (when the Washington Team Machine gets Fusco out of custody). Combining the two, we get Athena Wickham, who is also a producer on the show! It's a fun little shoutout to their crew. I wonder if there are any other alias-based homages, especially among Root's 20 billion identities.

Hey Team! I've been working on this video for about 2 months now and I FINALLY got to release it on my birthday!

I cried. I’m sad for John. I’m sad for Root. This show is beyond amazing. Will someone cry with me? lol

So, I've always been intrigued about the the whole " Greer turning Decima into Samaritan." Idea. On one hand I do understand why the writers decided to completely shelf Decima Technologies and "rebrand" them into Samaritan agents and operatives. On the other, however, I still don't get why the 2 couldn't work as 2 separate "divisions". I get that Greer wanted humanity to be controlled by a ASI, but not having Decima still be involved as another division working alongside a Samaritan division seems like an interesting plot hole to me.
Thoughts?

Hey Carter tried to date Beecher! But maybe he was too much of a nerd like she says instead of the bad boy type she thought he was lmao
Real talk, was just fun to find her interview in the wild on a random subreddit I don’t even follow

Hi,
Shall we have a thread to mention the other movies / shows that leading characters of PoI acted? When you mention, please leave your review as well.

I just don't see why they had to add a romantica element to Carter/Reese right before she dies. It was so contrived and unnecessary. There wasn't anything leading up to it and was just jammed down our throats at the last second to make her death seemingly more impactful.

I finally finished Person of Interest, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. The series keeps evolving and gets better as it goes. I was really impressed by storytelling, and how well everything was planned across the entire series. Definitely one of the best show I've watched behind (BCS, BB, Ozark)

I forgot that this episode starts with Johnny Cash's version of Hurt. Such a powerful song. As it played and we watch Shaw and Reece tracking Simmons, I couldn't help but also see in my mind the images of Johnny Cash in the music video. If you haven't seen the music video I encourage you to go to YouTube and watch the video for this song It is such an impactful song with a very moving video.

This is the first time I watch POI and currently watching S03E03: Lady Killer. It cracks me up to see how excited Shaw to show her pistol and Carter also admires it, even Shaw tells Carter she can borrow it anytime, LMAO. I think this is the first time I see Shaw being not so serious 😂
Looking forward to see how she integrates with the team!

I am starting season 3. As I said it’s first time watching. But I was just wondering right now, why did the machine not give out John’s number when he was shot by the CIA? 🤔

Just like the last time this happened a few months ago, and a few months before that, every now and then someone in this community appears to buy a Bot wave of some sort.
For the genuine new comers in this Subreddit, this Subreddit is long dead, it's quite an inactive Subreddit and every now and then I suspect dedicated fan or mod that runs the show here seems to buy some sort bot package.
If you click your post insights or comment insights, you'll see the majority of traffic is coming out of India this month, very unusual for this Subreddit but there's a ton of bots based out of India swamping this Subreddit
The whole method is to produce the fake appearance of an active Subreddit, an active community, because then it naturally brings in others that think there's more activity here than there actually is.
Make no mistake, this is a dead Subreddit, kept alive by life support, that seemly gets bursts of bot waves.
Sooo much slop as of late.

I've been grieving Detective Carter's death since it happened, and I'm a complete newcomer to this series. The show felt so heavy after her demise that I even stepped away for a few days, convinced they'd pull a cheap stunt and make it a dream sequence. For a while, John's screen time was reduced until he was fully operational again, which, if I recall correctly, was after Harold found him in Italy and get him a new suit. That's when I felt ready to see him back in action. But then Samaritan went live, and during their undercover work, I was stunned BECAUSE John ended up in Homicide, at Carter's desk, partnering with FUSCO. And then, in S4:E5, this particular line brought back my grief, aching for her absence. I don't want to feel sad alone. 🥲

Knowing it would be worse. And no original crew in that show (maybe with guest starring)

What happened to the Ordos Laptop after Greer and Decima acquired the code inside it? Did they hold onto it in case they needed to utilize it or the embedded code to aquire data or did they just destroy it after aquiring what they found and or needed?
Edit: I am also working on part 2 for my fanfic of the HR vs Decima storyline. Should almost have a plot written up for it soon.

Just finished watching POI. One thing I couldn’t understand how the machine managed to create its own clone in the last episode and contact Shaw. They didn’t show it had created like Samaritan or they just showed it for continuity. Really hope they come with a new season :)

Has anyone watched the - saving finch Car chase - it's just an adaptation of the matrix Free way chase scene; root as Trinity !

Last month, I watched POI for the very first time. I was completely in awe and started my rewatch right away. I'm obsessed with this show, and it's all I can talk about 😅
So obviously, I recommend it to everyone I talk to (to be fair: I haven't talked to a lot of people these past few weeks, because I'm too busy watching this gem of a show 😍)
But to my surprise (or should I say: dismay), all I get are very underwhelmed responses 🤔 "I watched three episodes, but I don't understand why you like this show... it's so boring" or "how can you watch this TWICE? It's really bad tv." 😳😧
I just don't know how to react 😳😂 It makes me rethink my friendships... (jk).
Has anyone had this same experience?

John was never in it for the money, as he reiterated in “Wolf and Cub” and “4C.” But if he had been, this ad came up in my FB newsfeed and literally the first thing I thought when I saw it was of John and kneecaps! It’d be a great advertising slogan!
And yes, there are many moments in my day where POI becomes relevant! 😂

I couldn't fit in many others in the poll like Wonder Boy, Looney Tunes. You can comment others left out.

I mean after root i thought they would understand, but it just keeps happening. Diane here for example. Just watched S3 EP 11, I mean come on..........how can you trust her randomly and not vet her at all considering how many times you have fallen in trouble for the same exact mistake.
