I’m wondering if people have any recommendations on restaurants that have a top tier oeuf mayo, or a unique twist on them.

Has anyone travelled to and gone from CDG to Gare Du Nord since EES has been implemented? How long should it take approximately from lading to Gare Du Nord now?

I am trying to reserve a restaurant right on arrival to the Gare du Nord. My plane lands at 10:20am.

I currently have an apartment booked that is 5 minutes in walking distance to the stadium; however, there is not a lot around my apartment. - in regards to night life. I would love some insight on where to stay that has some "night life" but also... areas to stay away from....

My current place is about 25 minutes away from "central Paris" via the metro, but it stops at a certain time... so I'd love some insight of areas to look into that are "walkable" to a place.

Basically.... I'm going for the game... but where should i stay to have a good time??

We're due to visit next week but are having some trouble figuring out our transit from the airport to our hotel.

Our flight lands just after 10pm on Wednesday, and from what I can tell the trains from CDG don't tend to run that late?

To complicate things further, we have a young baby and won't be able to travel with a car seat.

Are there any options available to us? We have seen Ozeroute but recent reviews seem to suggest we may have issues, and I'm unsure where we'd stand without a car seat too.

I would like a Jersey like the players. I don’t mind if it’s the new one or old ones. But I only see in these souvenirs shops dupe versions or ones with no name or just Paris on it. And the original ones are too effective. I’m on vacation here and I would like to buy one. Is there any store that sells it. Tbh I don’t mind if it’s fake s long as you don’t see it asap, for example another color , different writing, spelling etc.

I’m a female, 22 y/o currently studying abroad in London for 3 weeks for a summer school with lots of other students from around the world but really want to go on a weekend trip to Paris since it's literally a 1 hour flight from here (and I flew 26 hours to be here !!). However, I haven’t been able to find anyone else who is interested in going with me!

I’m thinking at this point of just going solo, but I’m kind of scared because I’ve never solo travelled in my life.

I know that this is a bit shallow but the main thing making me hesitant is that a huge reason I want to go to Paris is to take cute photos of myself for my Instagram feed (since paris is sooo pretty) and if I go alone, I’m afraid I won’t have anyone to take nice photos of me, or it will be much harder.

Also, I only have an iPhone, not a digicam, so I’m worried the photos won’t end up as nice as they usually do when my friends take them. Do you think it's still possible to get nice photos of myself if I go to Paris alone? Thanks !

We're traveling to Paris for the first time in mid-September (I have been but my husband and kids have not). Kids will be 6 and almost-4 so I am trying not to be too ambitious while still making the most of our time. After this we head to the south of France for the rest of our trip.

I would love input on the following itinerary. Anything you'd add/subtract? Any food or other recommendations in the areas where we'll be? Thanks in advance!

Day 1 (Friday):

Flight arrives at CDG 11am

Uber/taxi to airbnb (right near Eiffel Tower in the 7th Arr.)

Grab lunch

Eiffel Tower tickets at 3pm (4 min walk from airbnb)

Stroll on Rue Cler and visit shops

Chez Pippo reservation right near Airbnb at 6:30

Day 2 (Saturday):

Walk to Trocadero for photos in morning 

Boat tour at 11:30am - Vedettes de Paris

Lunch

Montmartre for afternoon

Dinner reservation La Boite Aux Lettres (7pm)

Day 3 (Sunday):

Notre Dame in morning

I will travel to Paris for 3 days with my senior parents (65yr and 68 yr). Here is a relax-ish itinerary I have planned. Please review.

Day 1: Arrival and check-in to Hotel at 14:00 (on the 9th Arr). After check-in, get fresh and visit the Jardin du Luxembourg. From there proceed to Notre Dame (entry at 6:00pm), then walk to Sainte Chapelle. Stroll the neighborhood, the bridges etc on the Ile De La Cite. Have dinner. I have also booked an evening Seine cruise at 20:15pm from Pont Neuf.

Day 2: After breakfast head to the Louvre (entry at 10:30), explore until lunch. either have lunch inside the Louvre or outside. Next to Arc de Triompf, and then to Sacré cœur be there until sunset. Come down and have dinner in the Moulin Rouge neighborhood.

Day 3: After breakfast visit the Eiffel Tower (in daylight), go up to the summit. Spend some time at the Place du Trocadero. After lunch we drive back home.

We plan to use either Bolt/Uber or Metro/bus wherever we see fit. wont be driving in the city. Just driving into Paris, parking the car in the hotel and then driving back home.

Hi everyone, I was looking into river cruises along the Seine, and found dinner cruises. I was wondering if the boats move during dinner, or if they're stationary? Thanks in advance

I have the option of going to Paris early Jan, or late May. Which is more worth it as a solo female traveler?

Wanted to share a few thoughts from my second trip to Paris. I went from July 13th through July 19th.

I came via the daytime flight to London and the Eurostar, and that is def the way to go to Europe. Cheaper than business class and so much more civilized than sleeping in economy.

Bastille Day fireworks were beautiful. I briefly considered a cruise, but ended up just going to the Champ-de-Mars. The crowds were epic, I ended up walking back to Pasteur before finally getting on the subway.

Tuesday I took the RER to Provins. This is a beautiful little medieval town. I got to see Caesar's keep, the rose garden, and the barn; I missed out on the museum. I did notice my Navigo weekly pass didn't want to work on the buses at the station.

Wednesday, I had planned to go to the Louvre, but that got cancelled. I went to the Pantheon and then went standby for Notre Dame.

Thursday was my highlight trip to Giverny. This was BEAUTIFUL. 10/10 recommend.

Friday just did some local sightseeing, my feet were hurting pretty bad. I did go to the big Jardin des Plantes but I couldn't get into it.

Saturday I did Paris Disney, always a fun time.

So I'll finish by saying what I think went well and what didn't go well.

Went well:

Unlike my first trip to Paris, I didn't have to deal with constant strikes and protests. My first trip was during the retirement age protests in 2023. I also planned a much less aggressive schedule, being aware of the limitations of timed tickets.

I stayed at the same hotel for almost all of the trip and that was huge not to have to change hotels. I did the Hotel Terminus Orleans, and it was right on the 4 line. Would have been even better if the 4 was running the full length. I also took time to ensure the hotel had AC.

I invested in a simple vest for the trip, and that really came in handy. It had an interior pocket for wallet and passport, and the exterior pockets could hold my phone charger, phone, and other essentials. In heavy crowds, I could zip it up for extra security on the passport pocket.

What could have gone better:

Navigo on my phone was hit or miss. It worked most of the time, but struggled a few times. I actually had to pay for a one-time ticket one time because I couldn't get through the turnstile and didn't feel confident explaining to the police why I jumped them. I think next time, I'll go back to the RFID card.

Orange Travel E-Sim. I'm not sure if it's my phone or not since I do have a dual-sim config, but this thing failed me at two critical moments.

Disney Paris on the last day. I wouldn't do this on the last day again. It's a lot of walking, and also with an early flight, I wanted to get to my hotel in time to sleep, and the last TVG to CDG leaves at 9:50, so I actually missed out on an hour an 40 minutes of park time because the other option was a 2 hour trip through Paris on the RER lines.

The Louvre cancellation highlighted one unfortunate reality of visiting Paris I've noticed. Things book up fast and far in advance, and if you get hit with a cancellation, it can be a challenge. Fortunately, I had been to the Louvre before, so it wasn't a deal breaker for me to miss it.

Hi there, I've been to Paris a few times but always go by bus (from Lisbon), this time around I'm gonna take my girlfriend and she refuses to go by bus so we'll fly to Beauvais in Ryanair... What's the best way to go to the city from the airport and how to i buy tickets??? She's been to Paris once and she catched the shuttle which costs a whopping 60€, isn't there a train or a cheaper mode of transportation? Thanks in advance

Has anyone had personal experience with the Citadines aparthotels in Paris? We are going to Paris for three weeks. Photos look very nice. But would like to know if anyone has personal experience with them? I see several VRBOs but I know they can run hot and cold.

Bonjour! I am going to Paris for the first time this fall with my husband. Currently, we have a hotel booked in the 16th Arrondissement (Renaissance Paris Nobel Tour Eiffel Hotel) and I am trying to figure out if this is the right fit for us.

My husband and I are excited to do a lot of the main highlights (Louvre, Seine cruise, Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame, etc.)
But honestly, we are most excited to experience the cafes and coffee. We want to stroll pretty streets, eat at cafes, and not overpack the trip with too much of an agenda. We love to walk. And we aren’t big nightlife people, but aren’t disturbed by noise either.

If the 16th sounds like a good fit for us, please let me know! Open to any recommendations. We are only here for 4 nights, so want to make sure we pick the right area. Thanks!

Edit: for our 8:10pm flight we left gard du Nord at 5:15pm and we were able to get in about 45 min early to get gate

I’m travelling solo to Paris at the end of this August (26th-28th) and I’m planning to do a deep dive into the Louvre. I really want to focus on the archaeology and ancient history sections (specifically the Egyptian Antiquities), rather than the standard "Mona Lisa & Venus de Milo" highlights tour...

Since it's practically impossible to find public group tours with this specific focus, I’m looking at booking a private expert guide. The total cost is around €500, so I’m hoping to find some fellow history fans to split the cost with me :)
