Normandy Beach in Medal of Honor Allied Assault hits different in VR. Dang I forgot how hard this game can be. I'm loving this vibe coded VR mod so far. I just finished fixing aiming and I'm adding a floating crosshair to make it a but easier to aim. Oh and crouching works now haha. I needed it for this level.

Discussion Can only buy ONE game right now—which of these is a absolute must-play?

10 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to grab a new game, but budget/time constraints mean **I can only pick ONE** right now. I want to make sure I get the absolute best value and experience out of my choice.

Here is the shortlist of games I’m torn between:

* **Metro Awakening**

* **Assassin’s Creed** (Nexus)

* **Resident Evil**

* **TMNT**

* **Forefront**

* **Beat Saber**

* **Roboquest**

* **Blade & Sorcery**

* **Little Nightmares**

* **Tetris Effect**

*** Walking dead

I know these cover a pretty wide variety of genres—from intense story-driven campaigns and action physics to high-replayability rhythm and arcade games.

If you had to pick just **one** to keep you hooked, which would it be and why? Any recommendations on which offer the best longevity or immersion would be awesome!

Thanks in advance for the help!

Discussion Which one to get: Solara One, WorldLens, or BRINK Traveler? Which do you use most and why?

8 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I'm currently looking to pick up a new immersive/exploration app for my Meta Quest, but I’m torn between three different options:

Solara One

WorldLens

BRINK Traveler

They all look incredible in their own way (space relaxation vs. global Street View/3D travel vs. photorealistic natural landmarks), but I'd love to hear feedback from people who actually own them.

For those of you who have tried these:

Which one do you find yourself using or coming back to the most?

Why do you prefer it over the others? (Is it visual quality, replayability, atmosphere, ease of use?)

Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

Support - Standalone Hi, Just bought a Meta Quest 3 and having a hard time making it work

Upvotes

Bear with me, I'm 57 and too old for whatever technical problems this device is throwing at me. But here goes ;

1/ My left controller is not connecting, I saw a notification in the helmet that said that I should press a button to wake it up, but it doesn't work. I tried 3 different batteries one of which I'm absolutely sure is new.

2/ To resolve number 1, I saw that you have to go into Devices > Headset Settings > Controllers. Problem is, it says my device is not connected even though I have access to multiple functionalities and is definitely, in some way, connected (?). I saw on Reddit someone telling that enabling Bluetooth in the helmet fixed that problem, but my Bluetooth is already enabled...

I would really appreciate some help with this, I'm out of ideas...

Self-Promotion (Developer) - Standalone My "Retro 3D" App is now Live - turn your Quest headset into vintage red + cyan 3D glasses using camera passthrough! (WARNING: may cause headaches ;))

TL;DR
📢📢Retro 3D is now in Early Access for Meta Quest! Visit http://retro3dxr.com to learn more! Turn your Quest headset into Vintage 3D glasses 🤯 (Discount code in the comments)

Store Page: https://vr.meta.me/s/21JewtWClxD9BXI

A little more info...
I first posted a teaser about this concept almost a year ago - July 28, 2025! I've had a working version for a long time, but the timing just didn't feel right. Well, the app still isn't perfect, but I've updated the algorithm so the quality is better than those early builds, and the UX is slightly improved 🤔

So what is Retro 3D? (If you're just stumbling up on this) Retro 3D uses camera passthrough to simulate red + cyan 3D glasses. You start by finding "anaglyph 3D" content online (or at home if you have it), put the headset on, turn on the glasses mode in the app (the app applies a red filter to your left eye and a blue filter to your right eye - like looking through cheap paper glasses 😎), and then watch old 3D content.

Does it work as well as the cheap glasses? No!

But that's not the point.

What is the point? That it's possible to do this!

I like to say "view old 3D content in your new 3D headset".

I demoed this at #AWE2026 to much delight. If you try it, let me know how it works for you! I have a few more ideas to implement... then I'm done 😉

Support - PCVR Which adapter should I buy for virtual desktop

3 Upvotes

It’s been almost a month or two since I got my quest 3 and I just got virtual desktop like a week ago and all I have is a 5 ghz router which gives out max 443 mbps and vr link cable usb 3 type c but meta horizon link with absolutely tuned settings too is still close to trash and performance I need to forget about half life alyx or any game that requires steam vr

I don’t know why but my mobile hotspot does not work with vd or steam link says it needs local network

I need recommendations for which adapter to buy for wired vd type c to Ethernet what am I supposed to look for, I don’t know which ones work and if they are even available in my country

Virtual desktop just looks so much better even at 65 mbps rate with my shitty router

Discussion What do you actually want in the next Quest device?

31 Upvotes

As a dev, the one I would kill for is passthrough camera clarity. Sharper, less grainy cameras would open up so much for mixed reality games. Right now the noise really limits what we can build for MR. Throw in proper depth sensing for occlusion and it would be a different world.
I also want more GPU headroom. Quest 3 already runs some genuinely heavy graphics standalone. Push that further and we could ship stuff that actually looks close to PCVR without the cable.
Eye tracking with foveated rendering would help here too. Gives us a lot more room to work with.
But honestly the biggest one for me is weight. I don’t even care if we have to run a wired battery down to a pack in our pocket. Just make the headset itself light enough to wear for a full session without the neck strain. Comfort beats specs at this point.

What’s on your list?

So when Im playing my headset will randomly freeze, i have tried so many fixes and nothing has worked. My headset is still working, the display just glitches. I get it to work sometimes with no issues but there doesn’t seem to be a correlation from it working to not working.

any help appreciated, i have tried a-lot of stuff

Scan it, prompt it, (grab a coffee,) play it.

The 2Sync SDK scans the space and decides where everything is and how big it can be. GenAI takes over the look: a language model plans the scene, Rodin Gen2.5 generates a matching 3D model for every real object, and Blockade Labsdelivers the skybox.

Full transparency: It currently takes about 30 minutes to go from "prompt" to "play", and the generated models are, of course, not perfect yet. But both are improving rapidly. The exciting part is that the entire pipeline already works today.

But that's not the point. I described a world in one sentence and my terrace became it. Our SDK understands the environment. Together with AI, it builds the experience.

More worlds in the pipeline. What would you prompt your room into? 🙂

Discussion Sharing account across a few devices

1 Upvotes

I had a Quest 2 back in the day that I gave to my brother. I changed the account email so he could keep using the games. Several years later, he's passed on the Quest 2 and gotten himself a 3S. If I were to get a 3, could we still use the same account with the purchases games, etc? İ realize we probably couldn't play the same paid game together, but would we be able to access the same content at different times?

Discussion How to clean white oxidation / bloom from Quest 1 head strap

Thumbnail
gallery
313 Upvotes

I bought an old Quest 1 to have as a backup headset and also for horror games since it has an OLED display. The headstrap had some white build up / bloom on it from sitting (i had a different quest 1 a while ago with the same issue but didn’t think of this). It wouldn’t clean off with a rag, baby wipe, etc. so i figured why not use some toothpaste! The white build up cleaned right off and it looks good as new (got the idea from polishing headlights and other things with toothpaste).

Just put a small dab on your finger and rub the toothpaste into the rubber really well. Then wipe off with a wet wipe!

Kind of a silly post. But I hope it helps someone put their quest 1 back on the entertainment center because it’s not a bad PCVR headset for how cheap you can buy it. I just bought this headset with controllers for $30 used and i couldn’t pass up the deal.

as the title states, i ordered a meta quest 2 through amazon and thought i could save some money by getting an amazon renewed version. after opening the amazon package, it didnt have any branded packaging but i expected that with an amazon renewed. but what i wasnt expecting, was when i go to plug it in the red light does not appear. it did for a moment, but it dissapeared shortly after (maybe a few seconds) . i have tried a separate cable and separate charging block, also changing where i tried charging it at and still nothing
i spent about $350 on this, and for it to just not even accept being charged is pretty frustrating. should i just return it and buy a new one? and new being condition, brand new instead of amazon renewed.

Discussion Meta Quest 2 completely dead - no charging light, no display, no signs of life. Any ideas?

1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

My Meta Quest 2 has suddenly stopped working. It won't power on, and it won't charge. There are absolutely no signs of life—no charging LED, no display, nothing.

Here's everything I've tried so far:

Tested with two fully functional chargers, including the original Meta Quest 2 charger.

Tested on two different wall outlets.

Both chargers work perfectly with my other devices.

Left the headset plugged in for over 48 hours.

Held the Power button for over 1 minute while it was plugged in.

Held Power + Volume (+) for over 1 minute to try entering the boot/recovery menu.

Tried the "blip charging" method and other fixes I found online, but none of them worked.

I even replaced the USB-C charging port with a brand-new one, but that made no difference.

The headset still shows absolutely no signs of life.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows of anything else I can try before assuming the motherboard is dead? Also, what's the best way to contact Meta Support? Is there a phone number I can call, or is live chat the only option?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Discussion Help! My Oculus is paired with my device, but won't proceed from code screen

0 Upvotes

I've got a problem with my Oculus 2, where I'm trying to set it up but it won't move on from the code screen. For reference, I've had it since around 2019, but for years it's just been collecting dust. I tried getting back on the thing and now it's just stuck on "continue setup in the app". The headset wasn't even paired with my phone, so after trying a few things I poceeded with a factory reset. Once doing this, it opened to a pairing code screen. I have tried to use this code on 2 different accounts... nothing. It says "device not found". Confusingly, that message showed up on my phone, but when I checked the connection in-app it said the devices were paired. This was extra confusing, since it was telling me otherwise. I have done two factory resets at this point. The same code is stuck on the screen, and it refuses to proceed. I can access different screens, like restart/power off and the boot device screen, but the actual system won't budge. What's giong on, and how do I fix it?

Discussion LivingFray (creator of the Halo CE VR Mod) has also been working on a mod for Halo: MCC, if you have the skills in programming/reverse engineering you are welcome to contribute to the project!

The scope of the mod is to port each Halo game to VR one at a time, with the current focus being to get Halo 2 working in VR with its original graphics. Once the game is in a good enough state the focus will move on to the next Halo title, and then the next one until every game has been ported to VR.

Halo CE VR is a mod that benefited a lot from community contributions and that was only after it had been released, imagine how good the mod can be if everyone can help out from the beginning

Self-Promotion (Developer) - Standalone Shatter Flow - My Upcoming VR Destruction Game (Early Access in August!)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!
I’m working on a new VR project called Shatter Flow, and I just posted a short video showcasing the latest gameplay. It’s a physics‑driven destruction experience where you can smash, slice, punch, and break objects in super satisfying ways. Think of it as a mix of chaotic sandbox fun + fast, reactive physics.

Shatter Flow is planned to go live in August for Early Access, and I’m polishing the core mechanics right now destruction systems, rhythm‑based modes, boxing interactions, and performance tuning for Quest.

I’d really appreciate any feedback from the VR/indie dev community.

  • Does the destruction feel satisfying?
  • Anything you’d like to see added?
  • Any rough edges you noticed in the video?

I’m building this solo, so every bit of input helps me shape the Early Access launch. Thanks for checking it out!

Video is attached let me know what you think!

Fluff Quest 3S surprised me!

29 Upvotes

I feel like I have enough time with the Quest 3 to say that if you ever considered quest 3S as your first headset? Go for it. Even more if you go second hand or refurbished. I just got a second unit(along side my 3) for occasional multiplayer but also for testing with when developing my truck game. (Got it second hand, and people are literally "giving them away" pricewise)

I know people are quick to tell you that you should get the Quest 3, but if you cant side by side compare both headsets, which i did countless times last night back and forth running bonelab. Apart from the apparent sharpness and pancake lenses they're not far apart when jumping between them.

Also it does everything that the 3 does and the passthrough feels identical to my eyes.

Added bonus is the use in the dark feature that 3S has up its sleeve, work very well in pitch black room.

I found myself actually using it yesterday. Though I was gonna have it stand by when I needed it. But the experience was far better than I expected.

If you're ever on the fence.. budget is tight.. or you just want to test the waters not gambling on a purchase, 3S will absolutely suffice. And better yet it will not bring you a lesser experience even though opinions around the matter might be very loud and pro-quest 3.
