Hi everyone!

I have an idea for a custom NASCAR Racing 2003 Season HUD and I’m looking for an experienced NR2003 modder who would be interested in creating it.

The HUD concept is inspired by the original Overwatch (2016) UI style:

clean futuristic design;
blue accents and white text;
transparent elements;
modern and readable interface.

I would like it to be a fully functional HUD, not just a visual replacement. The HUD should display race data such as:

speed;
RPM;
fuel;
lap number;
position;
lap times;
other useful race information.

Target resolution: 1280×720.

I can provide the design ideas and references. This is a personal fan project, not a commercial project, and I’m looking for someone interested in creating it as a passion project.

If anyone has experience with NR2003 HUDs, plugins, or interface modding and would like to take on this idea, please let me know.

A shoutout to nr2003 accuracy in 2023. Crazy. And to all the trackmakers who made a track that hes describing here, very impressive that drivers are falling back to community mods on a 20+ year old game when iracing doesnt support their study needs. Incredible work. If anyone here knows a trackmaker who would have made one of those tracks and isnt in this sub, send this to them for me please.

Got a couple fun tweaks that I want to share with you guys that improved the quality of life of this sim for me to the extent of what I've found capable so far.

First, if you convert the PWF CTS (or the highly underrated CTS07) mod to GNS physics, then convert your truck sets to GNS as well, and raise all track grip levels for testing by a tenth, it will drive so much more like pre-2008 trucks with them being really fast in the corners and faster on the straightaways before they put the tapered spacers on to slow them down. I've found that the 670 HP of GNS physics simulates this era of truck better for me because as I said, they were faster in this era. And I find it absolutely perfect for the mid-2000's style of racing.

Second, it may be the ratings I use which is an older version of ai_line_modifier's formula, but I find that for intermediates and big non-plate tracks like Michigan, if you use a combination of that, and then go into track ini, change track grip for a slightly stronger high line by about 3-5 tenths, change the drafting distance to 1.7 and set the dlat_pad to 0.65, you will get much more field spread and breakaways after a few laps and multi-groove racing in a long run while still having lots of fun on track battles. I've had many races where the AI actually passes on the high line on their own merit or even sometimes gets loose, and seeing both lines work is really cool. Everyone may have different experiences, so if you try any of this out yourself, please let me know your results or if you added or changed anything to improve upon it.

Now I have a question. What realism tweaks in terms of the racing itself did you guys make to further immerse yourself into the game? I'm very interested and I would love to try your ideas out!

i am working with steel horse to make tickers for the program. i made the fox 22 ticker that was released in the previous version, and i'm currently working on fox 26, which will be released soon, along with prime, tnt, and nbc 2018.

Does anyone happen to have the Pixar cars 1 set? I would just get it off Stunod but they’re down

I have the 2001,2002 and 2007 sets archived, I do also have 2006 but it is on my desktop so if Stunod is not still back up by August 5th I will add that one to this as well!

I've downloaded a new car set. Call it set B for clarity.

The series that they are designed for already contains a generic car set. (Set A).

Do I have to just add the new cars and then select them manually in Opponent Manager?

Or is there a way of seeing Set A and Set B in the game?

The negative reaction to the new site was both unexpected and disheartening, especially considering our community has never had a platform quite like this before. A tremendous amount of time, energy, and money went into building it, so seeing such a lack of patience and gratitude from some members was tough to swallow. And to see it go out like that was so painful to do. We knew there were issues that needed to be ironed out, but few were willing to give us the time to fix it before speaking out negatively and aggressively.

Stewie hosts over 18,000+ downloads many with exclusive permissions you can't find anywhere else. The recent attack was financially draining and was still actively ongoing when I made the call to shut things down. The co-owners and I will come together to discuss our next steps and evaluate how we move forward.

Before we make any moves, my immediate priority is settling our outstanding balance with Google. While building something new is the eventual goal, it will carry a cost as it always does.

So me and my friends are trying to run at places like daytona and atlanta for our races together with quite a few AI's but we've noticed a problem is that there's like 0 player-to-player draft and we only receive any when it comes to drafting behind AI. Would anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it? We're all on the same track files (ini), same core.ini, and same carsets and exe file.

Tracks tested: Atlanta 2022 Quake WKC, Daytona_2020_BBMC_Night/Day, and daytonaBR

Back in February of last year on the NR2003 subreddit; there was a user by the name of ReplacementWise6878, and he posted a couple of number sets that he had made and they were pretty good quality. I later found them and then myself and couple others in the comments to that post made some suggestions on what he should do next which, for the next couple months he went on to do. Posting them in bunches on the subreddit and providing them through email to those who asked.
Personally, in my correspondence with him, he detailed how he did his process with making the sets and how he got to where he did with them with his references and such. This kept going until April where he decided to stop uploading them; until I noticed one day that he had removed all of his posts from the subreddit, essentially removing access to them for anybody who did not get them or did not know they existed. He then went onto delete his account and it has stayed that way from then on after. But earlier this year, I decided when I had the time I was going to compile all of the sets that I was given from him and give the files a little bit of a facelift so they can be presentable numbersets, and then share them with the rest of the community. So here they are, The ReplacementWise6878 Number Set Archive.

I have been trying to download nr2003 for a week now and I havent managed to find a way to fix this goddamn crash as soon as I try to create any session.

They were all posted on Stunod Racing but now the that site's gone and the new site doesn't have any of them besides 1997 Winston Cup, the download pages as well as the Mediafire links for them are potentially lost media. Same with the download links for LarryFoyt50's full carsets from Stunod also not being archived.

This template pack was the most recent and so far, the best ARCA template pack for BRGen613. The download had five files, a Dodge template, Chevrolet template, Camry template, and two Ford templates (Fusion, Mustang). I don't trust StewieRacing enough to archive all five. It'd probably just download the Chevrolet template.

It's too recent to have been archived from the Wayback Machine too.

It has the Good Sam logos on the walls which means it isn’t from 2010 or 2009 since it ran in either 2011 or 2012.

Hey everyone I need favor. I'm giving the Dinoco 400 one last final update adding the yellow lines where the pit stalls are like in the movie for movie accuracy. But the problem is since I can't visibly see the pitboxes in sandbox I need y'all help so I can make it the best version of the Dinoco 400 yet.

So I've been dealing with this for a couple of months now, I've tried just about everything and it seems the only thing now would be to do a clean reinstall of the game, I'll list what I've done so anyone who's read this far can help me try something new. The Game works fine when BC isn't running, but I would like to be able to have double wide restarts and GWC finishes. And I do run the game in a window.

Changed Compatibility, messed with every different in game setting, 4GB patch, all the graphics patches by TheBenCrazy, Installed new graphics drivers and changed settings there, Reinstalled BC, Changed settings in the Nvidia Panel, the d8 and d9 patches, And I've lowered everything in the game to a minimum, but still no luck in having the game not freeze, simulate the whole race, and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

So I saw that the website has changed for mods. Awesome, except I can't get past this survey thingy. I can't exit out of it, I can't click the stars, and I can't submit one to get rid of it, making the website completely useless. Any suggestions on what to do?
