Hi everyone. I'm new to all of this and trying to get my head around how moderating a subreddit works. I find that all new posts have a tick and a cross waiting for me to approve them. How do I turn this off so people can just post?

I created this community a week ago. The community is a NSFW community. I posted the posts every day. The quick way to get more visitors is by crossposting the posts into the communities which have high daily visitors. Then the community will get new visitors. And one thing is you just have to post daily. Still I have to increase my visitors number. Currently I'm the only mod to this subreddit so it's been hard to maintain because the visitors are visiting but there are no contributions to the community so I'm the only one posting in this subreddit. I DM some of the adult content creators to post their content in my community with correct post flair.

Some people accepted but most of the people are not even replying I'm very frustrated with this no response. I'm looking forward to growing my community.

We implemented Image Sourcery on our sub to make sure that pictures are not being recycled for karma farming.

However, when I click on the Google Lens result, it takes me to the sub where it was posted longest, but not directly to the post. So we can't determine if the usernames are the same.

Is there any option to search for an old picture in a sub using just the image?

I can see that there are those who visits our subs and shows only 1 active community -- ours.

But if you check their posts and comments, they are active on A LOT of subs.

Is there a setting that will hide the subs that you're active in, when view by other people?

Hi everyone, I just created my first subreddit, r/KusArt, and I’m still learning how to set up the community properly.

The subreddit is focused on AI anime art, original characters, image generation, prompts, and creative workflows. Right now the member/visitor labels are still using the default names, and I’d like to make them feel more connected to the theme of the community.

I’m trying to come up with a nice nickname for weekly visitors or active members. Something that feels related to AI art, anime characters, creators, or a small creative studio/community.

A few ideas I’m considering:

• Kooler
• Kusa

Any suggestions for names that would sound natural on Reddit?

Also, are there any naming mistakes new mods should avoid when customizing member/visitor labels?

Got tired of the discrimination in the groups so I made a new fan group. Stuffed animals should never cause chaos, they're stuffed animals. Tips are welcome in regards to running a group and other things you've found helpful!

Hey y’all, I’m a new mod of a daily puzzle game subreddit, so in general, I’ve been trying to post once a day. I’ve recently started posting twice a day to help fill out the sub while it’s still small, but my concern is whether posting more frequently could actually hurt my sub’s outreach by looking spammy.

Has anyone seen better results with different posting frequencies when growing a subreddit from scratch?

I got a "harassment towards someone else" report on a post about a local girl group. But I really find the post a valid opinion since it's criticizing the girl group, a public figure, for their mediocre performance.

Can I ignore that report on harassment towards someone else?

However, I'm wondering if enforcing strict submission standards right from day one might discourage new members from posting or asking basic questions.

I'm trying to make a wiki but when I try to add a page, edit it, then save it it disappears and doesn't show on the page list. It also doesn't let me access the settings of the new page, it says I don't have permission?

I've tried using old reddit and it shows on that page list, but still doesn't show on the new reddit page list. I've also tried creating the page by inputting the URL in the browser.

I recently created r/RedBowl about pics of food on a red bowl and it got me thinking -- what's the maximum number of subs that a user/Mod can create?

Only 5 days online, and I thought this would take forever. I was honestly pretty surprised when I looked at the numbers just now. But of course... people are currently searching a lot for stickers.
Joining the subreddit is not necessary, it’s mainly meant as an archive to keep sticker raffles organized and make them easier to find.

I recently launched a new sub (r/AutismeZonderZorg) to provide an alternative, more unfiltered space for the Dutch-speaking neurodivergent community. The goal was specifically to serve people who feel traditional "safe space" subreddits do not align with their style or perspective.

On paper, the initial launch metrics have been great:

• 100+ members in less than 3 days.

• 3.4K+ visits in 24 hours.

• High engagement driven by targeted use of the native Reddit Invite feature and scheduled recurring post themes.

However, the backlash from the established sub in our niche has been pretty intense and exhausting:

1. Meta-posts & Accusations: The mods of the established sub pinned announcements accusing us of "targeting members," ruining their safe space, and copying content. In reality, we simply used standard Reddit features to invite users who might want an alternative option.

2. Comment Section Hostility: Their threads descended into heavy speculation, calling our sub an "anti-club," assigning political labels to us, and encouraging members to screenshot and report our invites.

3. Modmail Conflict: Their mod came into our modmail demanding we stop inviting users from their public sub. I made it clear that public users are free to choose where they participate, which led to further toxicity and forced us to issue bans and file Code of Conduct/harassment reports. And even ban envasion reports.

While the drama actually drove a lot of curious traffic our way, dealing with the constant pushback, bad faith reports, and hostile narrative has been a rough start.

I want to make sure we keep moving forward without letting the conflict define our community's identity.

For mods who have launched "alternative" or competing subs:

• Handling targeted backlash: How do you protect your own mental energy when an established sub actively tries to poison the well against your new community?

• Pivoting to organic growth: Once the initial drama-driven traffic dies down, what are the best ways to build a steady stream of positive, original content?

• Modmail / Code of Conduct: Has reporting Mod Code of Conduct violations or harassment ever yielded real action from Reddit admins in these sub-vs-sub disputes, or is it better to just block and ignore?

Would appreciate hearing how others have survived a bumpy launch phase!

Hey! I'm a new mod here. Don't now how people will engage with my community? How can i bring them here?

I run a new subreddit for solo solving puzzles, they can be books, websites, board games etc.

But then there’s also different genres like Mystery Case Files, word puzzles, logic etc.

Can’t figure out what to have as post flairs and whether to have people include [BOOK] for example for the format the puzzle is in?

Basically I’ve gone to make a post that is a Mystery Case File but it’s also a Website. And I’m not sure how to format it for when other users post? Whether people should put it as the post flair ‘Mystery Case File’ or the flair ‘Website’. Don’t want to make it too confusing for the user.

I saw the 'why' list for organizing sales. But I think this list will be useful for developing the subreddit too.

I'll change the title a little: Why people will come to your subreddit:

1. They're looking for a solution to their problem.
2. They're looking for a chance to feel seen.
3. They're looking for emotions.
4. They want to find hope.
5. They want to be among people like them.

If you understand what the user wants, you can plan the work more effectively.
