Rules Question Reanimation vs Resurrection.
Edit: I stand corrected, as Resurrection Orbs resurrect, which activates reanimation protocols, which is "Healing"; it still doesn't affect Characters. Resurrect just seems to be a new keyword (for me anyway) to specify you cannot resurrect a unit more than once per turn.
Edit2: 01.02.03 does seem to specify resurrecting and does specifiy leaders and support units can be revived, so I suppose they are resurrected with 0 wounds and THEN reanimation protocols activate on them.
Am I correct in thinking the following:
A Character can reanimate a destroyed bodyguard unit.
A bodyguard unit cannot reanimate a destroyed character.
A Character with a resurrection orb can resurrect a destroyed Leader/Support Character.
A leader only becomes a separate unit when revived using Protocol of the Eternal Revenant stratagem.
A Catacomb Command Barge can use its resurrection orb on a unit with a destroyed Character to "resurrect" an overlord, for example:
- Your opponent uses precision and kills a leader.
- You use the resurrection orb on the unit to resurrect the leader at the end of the shooting/fight phase.
- The leader then activates reanimation protocols and heals in your command phase.
Say, for example, you have a block of warriors with a Support and Leader character; both are precisioned and destroyed. CCB uses its RO; you resurrect your Overlord; Overlord uses its RO; you resurrect your support character.
Pretty hard to pull off, as you would need the bodyguard unit to be at full strength before you can resurrect the leader/support characters, but possible.
