Discussion Tankmates for gournami?

I have 350L tank i have around 10 guppys and 2 pearl gourami, 2 gold, 2 blue. My husband really likes Swordtails and Mollys and the Ballon Mollys. My question is is it good idea to add 4 mollys or 4 swordtails. Are they peaceful enough to not eat guppys tails or attack the gourami fish? We wanna really peaceful tankmates for my gournami. I aslo wanna to add those gournamis are really nice to each other.

Help Aquarium Glass Thickness

I'm working on a custom tank, quite long and narrow. 54" x 9" x 12" tall. I've plugged these into calculators and gotten pretty different numbers. Does anyone have a suggestion for the thickness or tempered vs non-tempered glass?

Help What should I add to my 2.5 gallon long?

I’ve got a 2.5 gallon long tank with fluval stratum as the substrate. I’ve got a couple different plants in there, some botanicals, and common microfauna (scuds, rams horn snails, daphnia, moina, ostracods, and copepods.) im looking to make it a little cooler though as it just looks mostly empty. Are there any other invertebrates that are a bit larger I can add to the tank? I assume no fish can fit due to it only being 2.5 gallon.

Help Smallest size tank it’s fair to have fish in…

Morning … sounds like a simple question but probably contentious. My office is turning into abit of a fish room but I’m slightly limited in space due to my desk and keeping tanks away from the radiator.

What is the smallest tank that it’s fair to keep nano fish in ( not betta’s or shrimp I have these already, though probably will get more shrimp anyway).

It’s almost 3 months old I haven’t touched or done absolutely anything, but the anubias and Buce on the wood is new and was planted just a day ago. What could I do to improve this tank?

Help Will this tunnel be an issue?

I have this Malaysian driftwood in a 6.3 gallon (UNS 60L) planted tank. I plan to have some neocaridina and then either Pygmy rasboras or a betta in it later after the shrimp establish. In my head I wanted them to have safe hiding spots but do I need to worry about build up and poor water flow in the tunnel? It’s open on both sides and has a slit down the tunnel 2/3 of the way through the driftwood

Everything is pretty much cycled, just waiting for the tank to be able to process 2ppm ammonia in 24 hours.

Help stocking help

planning my first planted 10 gal, original plan was a betta and cherry shrimp but i’m leaning away from that now. i definitely want a honey gourami or 2, but i’m deciding now between chili rasboras, cherry shrimp, and pygmy corys. the tank will be heavily planted, i currently am using a sponge filter but can get any other filter of course. any ideas for stocking + numbers, plus any tips are welcome!!

Help 4 guppies in a 5 gallon tank and low nitrate is my current problem

My tank completed its cycle after a month. Now nitrate is low at 1-2ppm. I took out floating plants but that didn't help. I have 4 male gyppies, feeding a small amount daily, do I need to increase to 6-8 guppies?

Help Canister Filter Recs? ASG v. FZaqua v. UNS v. Oase?

Has anyone purchased a nano or micro canister filter for their tank? I have seen a few options, but searching for recent reviews has been difficult, and I would really love some opinions / pros and cons about any folks here have used.

Here are a few I am particularly curious about:

1.) Aquascape Guide (ASG) Pure Aquarium Filter Mini or the ASG Mini Aquarium Canister Filter Gen 2

2.) FZONE / FZaqua Canister Filter

3.) UNS Blitz Stainless Steel Filter

4.) Oase FiltoSmart 60 (or the 100 for the integrated heater but that seems like filter overkill!)

I know canister filters can be more of a pain to clean, but the tank is only 4 gallons and I really don’t want to have something inside, and I just don’t like the aesthetics of a HOB filter. It’s going to be in my living room so the look of it does matter to me. The tank is (eventually) intended for dwarf seahorses, so good filtration is a must.

Thanks in advance!

Help College Tank

So college only allows a 10 gallon but I know people who get away with 15s. I’m getting a 15 long and I’m torn on what to do. No matter what I want a dwarf pike cichlid. People say a 15 is too small for a lone regani so I’m looking into the green dwarf pike cichlid/Crenicichla compressiceps. What I need help with is I’m wondering if 4-5 cory cats could go in the tank with this fish or no. I’ve read forums of people who said they were peaceful but idk if the tank is too small. If it is not enough room for both species, I feel like it would get kinda annoying constantly cleaning the solo pike tank. please help 🙏* *

Help 10 Gallon 1st post!

Hey couple questions, how do we like my 10gallon? Current stock 6 ember tetras, 3 Cory’s and male betta stable water conditions, 15-25% weekly water changes. Second question is my embers are still gray and a little translucent, should I up the school to 8? They seem confident in the tank, I feed them high quality flakes and the betta doesnt chase them.
