I modded it after shackeel oneill prime form. 2001 Version. 6’10 height, 7’0 wingspan. 89 close shot, 88 lay for crafty finished and clean touches, 83 dunk for good finishes and the best part :99 standing dunk. never miss a standing dunk. 99 post control to make sure you get those paint touches or else you sell da game. 25 all shooting because shooting is for da weak. 65 pass acc to throw to the guard. 25 ball handle. 99 interior, 40 perim and steal, 99 block. 65 oboard, 70 dboard. trust me its enough. 71 speed. 45 agility, 70 strength, 88 vertical. MAKE THIS BUILD AND CLOG DAT PAINT MANE FUCK THE GUARDS DAT DONT PASS.

Look at the head aligning with the NBA 2k27 text that is literally the same picture are we deadass 2K?? I’m not even mad at how uncreative that but the fact that it’s literally the same picture aligning the same way.

We saw how dead 2k26 and 2k25 was with no crossplay on PC and switch 2. No reason to buy these games anymore.

Granted, I havent played 2K in years. But i remember back in 2K13 the ability to trade whatever player I wanted for whatever player, no questions asked. It made it so easy to create dream teams and pit them against each other. I cant imagine they just phased this ability out but, I dont see how to do this in 2K26.

As a casual player, is it possible to have fun on this game?

figured I'd make one last build since I hit for VC on the wheel. wanted a true enough Kyrie build to grind to red plate over this last month. I think I captured most parts of the essence while still making it viable for online. let me know what y'all boys think

Most major titles have this figured out. It’s a shame that 2K hasn’t made it a priority.

Its actually a very simple, unpopular fix. As what I would say an OG who’s been playing 2K since the beginning days The main problem with 2K is the developers yes but a big part of the problem is the toxicity in the community as well. The community is honestly one of the biggest problems with 2K. To fix this game it’s quite simple. And could be done it legit 20 mins. 

• Remove anything to do with skill based matchmaking

• First of all, ALL attributes should matter, All of them. They need to matter all the way from 25-99. Days of a PG getting by with elite defenders on the court with a 70 pass accuracy should be done. 25 strength should get tossed around by 85-90+ strength. Should feel a difference in 80 3pt/dunk/layup so on and so on, and a 90, all the way up to 99 and down to 55. That is the absolute main problem with the game. To many meaningless attributes that are very important to gameplay. Over the past years they have got some of the attributes right one year(ex. Strength in 2k24 slightly helped with defense and finishing) but the next year it doesn’t matter. They really need to break it down to a science and stop making shooting and (kinda)dunking being the only needed attributes. All attributes should matter, all of them.

• Second of all the builder needs to be much much more strict. Especially with cap breakers. This would ultimately also create a skill gap, making day one build less Demi godish and more needed of cap breakers. Which in return rewards the player who play more by having a competitive advantage and having better builds due to cap breakers.

• To the stricter builder, If you go higher into the upper 80s/90s in let’s say shooting, then you shouldn’t be able to also get stupid high playmaking and finishing. 1 or the other and it should only be very MID. Like 95 shooting should only be able to get say 70ish driving dunk.(and I believe that’s to high honestly). Would also create less good boy ball and more actual basketball but also keeping the ability to still have your dribble heads who load up the game to just dribble side to side for 22 seconds 

  • Examples:

99 shooting causes your to have to pick finishing, playmaking or defender as a “second” specialty. Say you choose finishing. Since you went 99 you shouldn’t be able to go to about 75ish finishing. And your playmaking and defense gets cooked/locked to very very mid. If you today 85 shooting, you can get ONE of the other 3 around low 80s but the other 2 aren’t able to be very good. Basically similar to the pie chart era but still keeping the free form builder. There hasn’t been a really good 2K since the free form builder was introduced. Would force builds to be more balanced and have to rely on teammates more.

Steph Curry Great shooter, decent dribbler. Not know for his defense and finishing kind of the same with someone like Damion lillard. 

Giannis Great finisher/defender, mid dribbler, not very much known for his shooting

Russell Westbrook great finisher, decent dribbler more so fast than dribbler. decent defender, 30% career shooter….

• Third Since offense is able to shoot 100% from 3, buff the ever living shit out of defense! If they can hit literally 100% of their shots, a defender should be able to steal the ball 100% of the time if timed correctly. Defenders should be able to cut dribblers off 100% of the time. Now for the most unpopular one that is a hill I will die on. Time to bring back fluctuating green windows. Depending on stamina/type of shot/coverage and all the other things that factor in on shooting. Make people actually learn their shot release rather than a stagnant timed release. Guess what else this creates, a skill gap to the ones who take the time to learn every type of their shot instead of just a singular timing. Learn to watch your release, not rely on a stagnant timing. 

Boom just like that 2K is fixed.

I went and made this 6’2 when I hit Vet 2 and I think it’s one of the best 6’2s if not one of the best PG’s to make. And before you say anything you move perfectly fine on a 6’2 with a 89 speed/agility combo. It’s all about if you’re good at the game or not. I average like 30 and 8 assists on him rn too.

Game is dogshit.

Just played a game where I tipped 5 passes and got 1 steal to show for it. I finish with 9 assists but threw 2 bad passes and both were picked off.

I have the sharp takeover on and I get the ankle breaker on the center only for a guy to run up behind me and rip it from me. Happened twice. I have 95 ball handle

What does ball handle even do besides badge levels after 85? Point of this build was to have a short PF go dribble god against the other 6’11 PF but all that happens is I get put at center

So since I have 95 ball handle and 86 SWB I’ll get a few rebounds and unless something is wide open I’m taking it up. But the teammates complain and will only pass to me on corner threes. So now it’s a build with 95 ball handle only iso-ing twice a game. No one will read this so I’m gay

Dogshit game

I know this is a hot take but one of the topics of discussion in 2k26 is the lack of build diversity and one thing that I haven’t seen people comment on is the current cap breaker system. Part of the issue with lack of build diversity is how today every build is built around the cap breakers and how now you can make any build you want and cap breakers will give you every possible need. Theres no point of making a inside big if I could just make that same inside big with a few tweaks and add a shit ton of cap breakers to also be a demigod dribbler with a high 3 ball and middy.

I don’t think cap breakers are a bad idea, but they should limit it to 5 cap breakers per build ngl, or go back to the old system where each one was only 1+ so people go back to making actual diverse bigs. If I make a Shaq build I’ll use those 5 cap breakers to get my standing dunk up, not 20 cap breakers to make my Shaq build a 3 point sniper with 99 pass accuracy.

Listen, IMO if your only way of winning is to use the glitchy methods, you aren’t actually good at the game. If you pick and roll with Wemby and pump fake into oblivion, glitch euro with Giannis, hezi pull with kd, etc all game long, you aren’t good you are just exploiting something that is glitched in the game. I have a 70 percent win percentage with over 500 played so I’m not a rookie. I understand altering defense, etc. I still stand by it, whether I win or lose I will openly talk shit about how it takes no skill to exploit glitches or poor mechanics in a game. Play basketball, the fact that you are making non perfect releases for 30 percent of your shots should be a sign that 2k is just flawed in that area mechanically not that you are good. Again just my opinion on it and ironically(not at all) it’s most of the the “TOP 100” people who use the 2k glitches the most. Di** eat all time and tier one teams or Giannis. Clearly I needed to rant but the shit is so lame imo

I put 1,000 plus into 26 and I got at least another year to get my moneys worth . I can’t in good conscience go spend that money again especially for what’s seem like a roster update.

Usually I get super hyped around the time next year’s game news cycle starts up. I watch nearly every creator’s videos, I check 2K’s social media, and I start playing a lot again. None of that. This year has been horrid and I have 0 drive to play the game.

I haven’t played in months. The matchmaking is complete garbage. I’m purple and gold plate on all of my builds with about a 65% win rate playing with randoms and I’m always matched with some dummy who looks like he’s never touched a basketball before. The gameplay is shit. Defense just isn’t a thing, steals are trash and the one time that steals were actually in a good place they reverted the change the next day. There is no uniqueness in builds. I remember in 25 I had inside centers, all around guards, 99 speed 99 agility guards, lockdowns, stretch bigs. Everything in 26 is just the exact same.

Shooting is too easy so you’re forced to make your build with shooting otherwise you’re straight up selling. I remember at the beginning of the year I would just let people get 2s because it was pretty much just as good as a stop.

They made a super arcadey game and took away everything fun that made it arcadey. Fading from half court was a blast and they took it away. So now the playstyle is just slow and boring.

I’ve been playing Diamond Dynasty on MLB The Show 26 lately and it beats the absolute piss out of MyTeam. You can literally earn nearly any card in the game by just playing it. You don’t need to sink hundreds or even thousands of real dollars to get the best players. They are all earnable by simply playing the game.
