Turns out when I thought I only had one 911, I had 3 in the stash. Probably gonna try and finish the Tamiya GT2. It was originally intended to be an RWB Stella Atrois tribute. I purchased it about the same time the real car started making waves. Saw it in a Speedhunters article by Dino Carbonare. Just loved the way Nakai-san took his AE86 drift ethos and applied it to his 930. I have the SR1s. Just need to find some 1:24 plastic garden edging... The 930 is to correctly build the kit I ham fisted as a newbie. The Revell will become a Singer tribute as intended. Now back to the Gundams for a bit

Originally painted the wheels gun metal but they were too dark so I went over the gum metal with aluminum and they look a lot better. Printed some Brembo’s for the front and rear and luckily Revell is almost identical to Tamiya in the wheel mounting so only small modifications to get them on the chassis. Waiting for micro sol and micro set to do decals and body can be cleared and final touches then polished. I’m mostly happy with how it’s coming out after starting on it over 10 years ago

Starting my first resin kit and very excited about it! The legendary M3 from Alpha Models.
Man I really wish there was a nice e46 M3 kit out there.
Anyways, here’s what’s in the box!
Today I will start the prep work 🤙🏼

Revell kit I picked up from a swap meet a while ago. Finished in Mystichrome colour shift paint since its one of the coolest factory option paint options ever with interior painted to match.

I don't about others, but sometimes I get in a rut in this hobby. The last couple months I was just struggling to finish builds, either I didnt like the color, or the finish, or I jacked something up, or just wanted to start a new kit that arrived. Anyway u/I_know_nothing which has become a great friend suggested we build a kit we both had in our stash. No frills, no real timeline, just chit chat and post wip pics. He printed some wheels, brakes and seats that we would both use so the build would be the same. Anyways this is some if my progress, I am lowering mine a bit and testing colors, kinda going for the look in the last pic. Also his inspiration is whay made me suggest that we do a group build similar to what he and I were doing. No real rules except a kit suggestion to help others just enjoying building a kit along with fellow builders. I am very excited to start on tbe porsche as well. My favorite part is seeing others wip pics, because it keeps me motivated and on track

Shoutout Aoshima for having the best 1:24 scale jdm small wheels. I tried a set of Fujimi Techno Phantoms and was sorely disappointed with the quality and fitment of such an expensive part. These Aoshima SSR MK1s are THE BOMB. And for 2/3 the price of the Fujimis! This is coming together just as I invisioned it...

I looked it up and I saw people saying 1200+ was good. So I sanded mine down using 1200 grit tamiya polishing abrasive. But I searched it up again and it says to use 400-600 then maybe move to 800. Did I mess it up already? I have 180, 320 and 600 grit sandpaper and then I have 1200, 1500 and 2000 tamiya polishing abrasive. How should I go about resanding it? (assuming I need to)

Hello fellow modelers. Unfortunately, during masking the center steering wheel decal got stuck and removed.
I was wondering if there are any creative ways to replace this without resorting to a new decal sheet request from the manufacturer.
I was thinking of there is a way to scratch build something that is passable? IDK.
Many thanks once again

Did some more work on the jeep yesterday and tonight. Liking the color combo and how everything is working. Gotta wet sand and buff that clear then put it all together. Not a perfect build but this one is fun.

I'm just getting back into this hobby after a few decades off. It's rekindled my joy of building these and I have a lot more disposable income than I did when I was a kid. If you guys like my work I'll post more... Let me know!
