To me at least, it seems like gen z is becoming the main target. At the very least, Youtube seems to think I'm 5-10 years younger than I am.

The linguists were basically calling Teletubbies “brain rot” before brainrot was a word. It was one of the first for-babies shows with no attempt at being educational, not even trying to teach them real words. But it was colorful, so babies loved it. As for the religious groups, they were saying this particular teletubby was a gay cross dresser, meant to lead children astray!

Any idea where to get one that's NOT made of that crappy stretchy plastic? I need to return to my roots

I mean I get streaming is pretty decent but I miss being able to pick out a few DVDs, some treats and sitting down as a family to watch a movie together. I felt like there was endless choices and I also feel like me and the fam have watched almost everything on streaming apps

I heard Blockbuster got offered to buy Netflix but refused so maybe if they bought it they may (probably not) still be open

I’ve been on them for 6 years now. I recently added Lithium Oratate as a supplement. It greatly helps my mood, memory, and sleep.

I also did therapy for 5 years and tbh it didn’t do much for me.

It sucks that I will need meds forever. But without the help, my mental state goes straight to hell. I become catatonic and cannot leave my bed. I was diagnosed with severe clinical depression, used to have panic disorder and psychosis at one point too. The psychosis went away when I stopped using cannabis.

How do you cope? What has worked?

This is a little random, but after seeing posts like the one yesterday about the late 2000s/early 2010s being a better time, I look back to those years, and while some things were better, I still don't long for going back to those times. It's a bit redundant anyways as the past is the past and I can't do anything about it.

Anyways, without fully trauma dumping, every time I see people talk about how the 2000s or the 90s were the "good ol days", there were some things culturally I miss, but having been raised by a strict, controlling father. I definitely don't miss it for the most part. He raised me to be very anxious and paranoid. And I definitely missed out on a lot of things in my childhood because of how controlling he was. Always felt like I was walking on eggshells around him and when I moved out on my own in 2015, it felt liberating. I have a better relationship with him now that we're at a distance, but I still hear horror stories about him from my youngest brother who still lives with him. Sure, not everything was bad about the 2000s or early 2010s, but that doesn't mean I wanna go back.

Like someone else said about looking back at the past, you only long for nostalgia, because you only remember the good times.

38 now. Was very straight laced while young and was sheltered with strict parents. I didn't go to prom or date anybody. I studied and got good grades. Had a few friends. Didn't really party or do anything crazy throughout high school and even college. I wish I had some memories from that time period but it was pretty boring. I wish I hooked up, did some drugs or partied. (At least hooked up). Maybe I'm watching too much euphoria. This sounds really dumb but I wish my school experience was like those teen rom coms from the 1990s/2000's (my favorite ones were she's all that and 10 things I hate about you).

And why is it only 1 pair?

Watching the show with my kids, and was trying to figure out who was singing the song. Sure enough, it was exactly who I thought it was. Turns out Patrick Stump acts as the primary composer/songwriter for the show. Which, after watching more episodes, makes all the sense.

I’m now learning that I might have ADHD. I’m like “yeah, duh” my sister, is almost 40, and she’s been diagnosed for 20+ years. For me, this is huge. I can understand a bit about me. The thing is, I don’t think it’s abnormal. I think I’m pretty typical.

I did this a few years back and I have a few friends who also don't have social media Also ​found it a massive green flag when it comes to dating. I DONT MISS ANYTHING LIFE IS SO MUCH BETTER.

I see Zoomers moving backwards or maybe the brain rot will consume them so hard the pendulum will swing in another direction.
