Peace walker is my favorite metal gear game and I’ve wanted a new tattoo for a bit so I figured this was the perfect time to get it, just wanted to share.

I really enjoyed MGS TTS, and I was worried since I saw many posts and reviews that criticized it. I even keep debating myself if this game was higher or lower than MGS3 which was also released in 2004. (Still think MGS2 is the best Gen VI MGS game)

I tried playing the original MGS but couldn’t, in my opinion it aged very poorly, the graphics are hard to digest and the gameplay controls felt weird and clunky.
I genuinely think TTS didn’t deserve all the backlash, and I think this is the best way of experiencing MGS1.

As for MGS1/TTS overall, the game is amazing, I love how everything is very focused and deliberate, the music is peak, the mysterious world-building and sci-fi story elements, the really cool cutscenes, the boss fights are surprisingly very fun to experience and cool, and all the characters are interesting; unique, and help developing Snake and the overall story in the best way possible. Finally, the gameplay and graphics (TTS version) aged well.

There are few issues here and there but nothing too serious, like some voice acting moments, and aspects in the last hour that I felt could be delivered differently.

Note: I played all the five main MGS games and the least I would rate any of these games is 9/10. This is hands down my favorite video game franchise ever.

Just rolled (final) credits on MGSV after finally beating every mainline game since the start of the year.

I listened to every tape and read up on a lot of theories, but one exhange between Ocelot and Big Boss at the end of Mission 46 still confuses me.

When Ocelot takes Big Boss to the motorcycle, he hands him a passport. As we know, this has the name, DOB and avatar of the player. Ocelot then suggests that Big Boss should also change his appearance to fit the player avatar in the passport.

This leaves me a bit confused as to Big Boss's appearance between the events of MG and MGS4.

By the credits of MGSV, we learn that Snake kills Venom in MG, not Big Boss. So no issue so far, as we can plausibly say that you never see the real Big Boss in MG.

In MG2, Snake then defeats the actual Big Boss (not killing him, as we later learn). Here, his appearance is in line with that of 1984.

And then in MGS4, Snake meets Big Boss for one final time. Again, his aged appearance matches 1984.

Now, I get that MGSV retcons a few things, but are we supposed to believe that Big Boss changes his appearance post-MGSV only to change it back pre-MG2? Or is it more likely that he just shrugged off Ocelot's advice and never changed his appearance in the first place?

when people said that we should play the 3 mgs in release order they were fucking right. after 60h on mgs3 I'm struggling as hell on mgs2 because I can't see right in front of me without stopping Raiden like a streetlamp

When gz came out in the opening there was some kind of lighting glitch that made him appear to have gray hair. I honestly kind of like this, he's been through a bunch too so graying early doesn't seem surprising.

The dialogue is nearly identical between my version and the official English dub of this particular scene, so there's really no need to translate it all.

All the unopened games will stay that way for as long as possible. Currently in talks with someone for Ac!d 1 and 2 and will grab a 20th Anniversary Collection as well. Somebody throw me a Peace Walker Limited Edition that game is mad hard to find.

I've never played Peace Walker, but I came across this video today and was surprised. It may not have been intentional, but it still works as foreshadowing. And think this c​omes from a game that was released five years before the phantom pain​

Can someone slide me a save file pls. It took me an insane amount of attempts to beat the fury cause he kept blinding me. I would really appreciate some help cause I don’t wanna do it over again. I tried fixing my corrupted files but it didn’t work

Trying to play on Android, the opening to the game works fine but after the tutorial and cutscenes the game breaks and crashes the app completely. It's always right after the cutscene following training, which I assume is when the first mission is supposed to start.

Any advice fellas?

I Read the whole log. I understand they probably used Quiet to sprint all the way to the Core, but they got detected the whole time and then they just entered the Core. Shouldn't they need to have waited for the detection status to go down?
