Naturalnie dostałam informację o wyborze dnia i godziny do rozmowy kwalifikacyjnej, jednakże wszystkie wybory uwzględniały godziny po pierwszej w nocy, co jest dla mnie czymś totalnie nie spotykanym. Stąd moje pytanie czy jest to normalne dla tej konkretnej franczyzy by dawać o tak późnych porach rozmowy rekrutacyjne, bo jak na razie wszyscy mnie dookoła straszą nocnymi łowcami organ XDDDD

I went in for my 9 AM interview, checked in at the counter, waited until someone came to get me, they took my name, phone number, email, and availability, then told me the hiring manager wasn’t there and that they would talk to the manager and call me later that day to let me know if they wanted to move forward.

I got an email saying that I need to complete pre start touch points before my welcome meeting but the problem is nothing shows up?? My welcome meeting is in just under 2 weeks any idea what’s happening?

I’ve been at McDonald’s for a year now. I’m usually rather quiet, never ask for help or nothing and I’m always polite. I know that is bias coming from myself but it’s how I grew up. I’ve had many rude and ignorant customers but tonight I had my first back and forth with one.

I was on window when a woman pulled up and immediately started shouting to grab someone’s attention. I go up to the window where she proceeded to ask if she could add a drink onto her order despite her being at the collection window. I explained as I normally would in my normal manner that we can’t do that at this window and she’d either have to go back round or come inside. She then said she had cash and could I not just put it through to which I said we can’t.

She then reads my name badge, says my name although I don’t even think she said the right name, I’m not sure, then smiles and says thank you. I didn’t hear what she said so I was like sorry? And she replies with your tone was horrible and that I was useless. I then said to her I’m telling you what any manager would say to you. I then walked off and let someone else hand her food out.

I know it isn’t that bad or deep but this is my first time in this situation. If she files a complaint will I get in trouble or written up as she has my name?

I’m looking for some advice about my current work situation.

I went back to McDonald’s because I couldn’t find any other work at the time. I had worked there before for around 2–3 years, so I thought going back would be easy and familiar.

Since coming back, I honestly feel like I’m slower than I used to be. I know the basics, but after being away for a while I’m not as fast with everything as I was before.

A license admin spoke to me and said it was “quite concerning” that I was working slowly because I had previous McDonald’s experience. The way it was said felt pretty rude and discouraging. I understand they expect me to be quicker because I’ve worked there before, but I also feel like if someone stopped working somewhere for years, they wouldn’t instantly be back at their old speed. Mcondalds is just a toxic environment in my opinion

I’ve now also found another job in retail, which I’m interested in, but I’m stuck because I don’t know my regular hours there yet.

McDonald’s wants me to keep morning availability to continue getting shifts, but if I commit to that, I’m worried it will clash with my retail job if they need me during the week. McDonald’s doesn’t seem very willing to work around my availability and has specifically told me I need to be available in the mornings tried asking for overnight but they wouldnt budge.

I’m honestly considering leaving McDonald’s because I only went back because I couldn’t find work at the time, and now I have another opportunity.

Would you recommend keeping McDonald’s as a backup until I know my retail hours, or should I move on and focus on the new job?

So I've been working at McDonald's for eight months as a teen. I learned table and grill, and I'm decent in table and fast in grill. However, is it still normal to be holding on food during rushes even if you're way more experienced than I am? Also, how long should I be working for to be able to do table on my own without any trouble? I can handle some orders but I'm aware that I struggle a lot on my own at times.

Also, there is an assistant manager that genuinely hates me for some reason. I don't know if it's due to personal problems that I've been hearing, but she blames me for everything, whether we're holding on anything or if I'm not doing something to her liking, even though I do multiple things at once and she doesn't get onto other employees for doing things slower than me. How should I deal with that knowing that it's only her feeling like that towards me?

How often does your store completely switch out the teflon sheets on the top of the grill? I feel like my store takes way too long to do it. Do yours get to the point where there are holes in the sheet? And does your store even keep a log of when the sheets are swapped?

So, I just applied to mcd's as my very first job ever on the mchire website. I've applied before but at a different location.

But this was different, they had me fill out a tax withholding form (A lot of work btw holy) and then after they had me read the employee handbook and everything, and even had me put in my uniform sizing. I wanted to work for quest experience lead (GEL) since i feel like that's the job with little to no needed experience. Is that normal? when I applied for the other place this didn't show up, and all of this happened before the interview.

I’ve applied to university, but I’m not sure I’ll get into the one in my hometown. If I don’t, I’ll most likely be going to the university in the neighbouring town, which is about a 40-minute drive or around an hour by train.

If I do end up going there, I’d prefer to move there rather than commute every day. During my interview at McDonald’s, I mentioned this to the assistant manager, and he said it might be possible for me to have a seasonal role. However, I’m not sure whether my probation period would prevent that.

I also don’t think the franchise I work for has a McDonald’s in the other town, which would make transferring more difficult. My main concern is whether they’d actually be able to offer me a seasonal role, allowing me to work during university holidays. Realistically, I’m only planning to live in the other town for one year so I can get my driving licence and make commuting much easier afterwards.
I’m feeling a bit torn because university is expensive, and I’ll need a job while I’m studying.

Hello, I'm a 16 and I have an interview soon at the same time I got waitlisted to a residential high school. If I get in and get the job I would only work there for a month. My parents don't want me to start a job during the school year(If I stay at my home high school) but only wants me to do it before school starts. If I get the offer should take the offer and maybe work there for a month? Or should I decline? Does McDonalds provide seasonal positions?

Yesterday I went for my interview and got accepted as a part time crew member later that day. I’ve filled in the e forms and have sent in my right to work documents but in email it does say that I have to complete all the pre start touch points on mywelcome before the welcome meeting (which is next week) but currently there’s nothing on there. When should I expect the touch points to be added and what should I expect at the welcome meeting?

Hi, So I just became crew trainer today and i've just tried to access my account to see my shifts for next week but it's coming up with a flag saying "The username and password you entered is incorrect. Please try again." How can I fix it ? Am I supposed to get an email?

I'm on probation working as a customer care but would like to help out more in the kitchen, especially when I work a late shift and it's quiet. Is it easy packing orders? I've seen that the food items come through via a conveyer belt and staff are then watching the screen. I'd like to help out doing this.
