Literally the title but I can not post if I don't reach 25

When I play a meta deck, I get matched against other meta decks. When I play brew, I'm getting matched with some really cool brews. I haven't played against a lessons, reanimator or meta jeskai deck in weeks. I have seen ourobouroid, but I imagine that's due to the popularity of the deck. I keep seeing complaints on here about constantly playing the same meta decks... but I'm not seeing them.

Edit: This is in ranked BO1, and my three most played brew decks are 54% 55% and 59% in order of number of games. My observation is that I'm playing the same style of magic as my opponent, not that I'm winning or losing more.

I play offbeat commanders and fun decks. I used to get matched up against mostly the same in the regular Brawl queue, where it takes into account the power level of your commander and tries to match you up with a similar one.

I've tried the Competitive queue and I get absolutely stomped even at Bronze level. People just doing ridiculous combos or ramping into insane things by turn 4. OK so Competitive isn't for me.

I tried to go back to the regular Brawl queue. The only problem is, no one is playing that now. So the queue times are crazy and by the time I do get matched with someone, the algorithm matching me with a similar commander has completely given up. It's like "OK this is taking forever. Screw it. Just find someone, anyone for this guy." So now I'm queueing into Kinnan, Golos, Atraxa, et al. with my jank.

For now I'm trying Standard Brawl and it's been OK. However, it's disappointing that I can't play any of my old Brawl decks without getting steamrolled. I see why people wanted this but it pretty much made Brawling just for fun impossible outside of Standard.

Every single aura variant has origin of spider-man for some reason, but i just fail to see its value? I mean... it is not bad, but from looking at decklists it seems to be a staple for aura decks and i just don't see why that is.

Just the title, it’s been years since we had such a boring, lopsided limited experience. It’s just white and blue white. Every draft. Pick all the rares you want in other colors, the common/uncommon blue white deck will run all over your deck.

I’m winning 70%+ games just forcing blue white in every. Single. Draft. This shit sucks

I need help identifying the 4 colorless cards are missing from the set collection? I filtered the Marvel sets and couldn’t find them. I’m wondering if they are variants of cards I already have from other sets, as it shows I’ve collected all of the other cards in the set. Any ideas appreciated?

EDIT: Problem solved, thanks everyone! I had one each of four common dual lands that needed crafting. Not sure how the filtering missed it!

Kinda driving me crazy tbh. I don't even think this Commander is that good.

How could we get some older (classic) sets to draft on arena? They brought us KTK and that was awesome! But I would love to draft original innistrad and, perhaps, if it's not that big of a stretch, invasion block!

This is something that should never happen. There should always be a way to cancel

I've been trying to get back into brewing after a pretty long stretch of net-decking, so I took the opportunity to brew [[The Astonishing Ant-Man]] as a sort of voltron into go-wide +1/+1 counters deck. And of the 5 games I played, the 3 that I won were all against decks that seemed to consist entirely of [[Okoye, Dora Milaje Leader]] and as many [[Hare Apparent]] as they could jam in. No removal, no buffs, no token doublers or anthem beyond a single copy of [[Heraldic Banner]] in one deck.

I'm confused, both on the reasoning for that deck of all the decks that could have been brewed, and because the mirror for those decks is just a coinflip on who goes first essentially. Are folks just grinding out the midweek for rewards and fast games? And, if so, is there any way that we could think of for Arena to change that play pattern, besides the obvious banning of Hare in brawl?

As of new patch bot matches aren’t counting towards dailies. I checked the patch notes and didn’t see anything regarding this.

Is anyone else having the same problem? Is this a bug?

Sometimes I do bot matches if I’m short on time and need to finish dailies without waiting on live opponent.

Granted opponent was already at 1 life and dead to me swinging out but I draw the Doomsday and the green packet had a mill 2 card in it so. I milled myself, deadly disputed and activated Doom. Thank you opponent for indulging me in my pointless flex.

As a side note I've done like 20+ Jump In events. I've seen the Savage Lands and F4 packets almost every single one. Loki and Doom not ONCE along with at least half the packets. Last night I got annoyed and submitted a Bug Report to WotC about a possible bug. Today I've done 2 more events. Got Loki in both and Doom this time (but still saw Savage Lands twice and F4)...

Please forgive my poor English in advance. Could you please explain how the hell this works? I have an agent from a set that's no longer in the Arena, but I can still find it. And the worst part is, I never got the Spider-Man version I was promised (or whatever that set was called). Why is the icon for this set gone, but the set itself is still there, and this exact version is the one that comes up in the search?

Anyone else have this pop up when you get a new card from an event or the pass? Does it mean anything or is it just indicating you got a new card?

I'm a bit confused about this. So apparently Hobbit has 40 cards as box toppers (cards you get for buying a booster box). It's my understanding that these cards are exclusive to box topper status and aren't a bonus sheet you can open in regular packs. The cards are a mix of LoTR reprints and LoTR Commander precon cards, all with new art.

I was looking at the card image gallery and I notice that the ones that are uploaded to the gallery, like Tom Bombadil, Sauron and Bowmasters have "Arena card style" listed as ways to obtain them. Ok makes sense, those cards are already on Arena, maybe they're just selling the styles as a bundle. But then, [[Galadriel's Dismissal]] and [[Call Forth the Tempest]] also have Arena card style listed, but neither of these cards are on Arena. So do we know if we're getting the full boxtopper set on Arena somehow? Are they just going to randomly add some selected precon cards with their old art and let you buy the box topper styles for them?

Hey, i'm pretty new to MTG Arena and MTG in general and this was one of the first decks i crafted and really liked. Now that i've got a few rare and mythic wildcards i'm looking to maybe upgrade it but since i dont really know many cards yet i thought i'd ask you guys. Obv not every card has to be from silverquill but i'd like to keep that theme.

I started playing arena due to someone I was seeing, and no that we aren’t together anymore I have no one to play with. I’m pretty bad at the game, and have only really used to the pre built decks. (Have played maybe 1 week total, if that).

But are there communities to meet people to play with purely on arena? Would anyone even want to play with me, given how new I am? I can always keep playing random people.

With the decent value common and uncommon wild cards in the shop for a limited(?) time only I was hoping to craft some decks for the pauper and artisan formats, and while I can find posts with people posting lists I was wondering if there were content creators or websites who provide solid lists?

Like if I'm looking to build a brawl deck I'll go and check out Legenvd or Amazonian, but I have no idea about brawl or artisan and even then there seems to be a few different formats that use pauper or artisan rules?

I've been messing around with a few mono-white and mono-red builds lately and they feel surprisingly consistent, but most of the deck discussions I see on here lean multicolor. Curious what people who play more competitively think - are mono-color archetypes still holding up on the ladder, or is that mostly a lower-rank thing at this point?

Just wanted to share that I made it to diamond for the first time! Bounced between plat 1/2 for a bit but between yesterday and today I went 8-2 to reach diamond!

I've got 1 of each common and uncommon unlockee already and you get commons and uncommons quite often just by playing but I'm still wondering if this is good time to get some extras for some wacky decks.

If you want to ponza this is the list. Mono Red is a pit trap and you'll fall off.

Scrollsmith imo is one of the best cards they've printed in Boros for a while.

Ideal play pattern:

T1 Land

T2 Land, [[price of freedom]]

T3 Land, [[practiced scrollsmith]] x Price of freedom

T4 [[demolition field]] x opponents land, price of freedom

That's 3 lands blasted, two cards drawn, and an opponent wishing they had packed more basics.

Game can go long with the deck list, eventually you lock them out and you pop em with a 3/2 seven times.

You will lose to mono g if you don't pack removal in your opener. Most others you get away with slowly dwindling down there resources
