Suggestion For SDS Technical and server issues mega-thread - 2026!
If you're having a server issue or a technical support question, it's likely that someone else is having or had the same issue already. Please search the subreddit (and this post) first and if you can't find anything, feel free to post here. If you're unable to connect at 7EST/4PST time, it's likely the server is down for maintenance or a patch and there's usually no ETA. All content typically drops at 12PST/3EST.

Question What are the mechanics of the PCI?
I’m a newer player on 26 and I don’t understand the mechanics of Zone PCI hitting. The game makes no effort to explain how any of this works. Do I not move the PCI until I’m ready to swing? or do I constantly move the PCI aiming for the ball, before a swing?
If don’t move the PCI until I’m ready to swing the PCI doesn’t move. If I yank the PCI towards the ball last second, my PCI will show it never moved during the swing. If I consistently move the PCI before the pitch aiming for the ball my swing still misses with the PCI off target.
Can someone answer how this works without trolling, thanks.

Man, one month since I bought The Show 25. It was a loosing streak until I understand how to play. This was the best play I've made until now.

Question Anyone else get burnt out around this time?
Grinded for Jram, Ted Williams, have a really good team that I’m happy with and P5s, but once all the new all star/draft cards start being better it’s a little frustrating.
I finally made it to 6-700 rank this year, but slowly see myself wanting to play rtts or franchise.
Just curious what your guys game plan is for the second half of the season

Question Does the game just feel off lately?
Before this week I felt like I was hitting everything and was sitting at 700+ rating. Over the last two days I can’t hit shit and dropped from 700+ to 270. Also any time I’m leading and have like 10+ Ks through 6 suddenly my opponent knows how to hit and everything flies or is a bloop.
Is the game just dog shit lately or am I just dogshit/in a terrible slump. Just feel the game has been off lately and I guess being on the PS5 doesn’t help either.

Discussion Franchise mode > than maddens
I’m not saying there’s not things wouldn’t wish for improvements on but, compared to mlb’s franchise mode, Madden’s franchise is completely phoned in

Franchise Franchise Mode: Trade System
Have the devs patched the trade system at all since the game came out? Like did they bring back instant trades, interest meter, or multiple trades a day?
If not, then looks like I’m still gonna rock with ‘25 for franchise mode.

Discussion What unique ways have you found to enjoy DD?
Probably not a very unique thing, but I like to use full lineups of the Topps Now cards and the less popular promo cards.
I have about 5-10 Topps cards with a P5 under 100 and two of them in the 30-50 range. All from playing offline (so the grind is pretty slow) and I don't use created stadiums.
This year I haven't flipped at all, so I can't affort the super expensive cards anyway, but I've had more fun doing this than I did last year when I flipped my way to a million stubs. It feels a bit more realistic too because the Topps cards usually have major weaknesses in one area or another.

Question What parallel mods do you recommend on cards?
I wanted to figure out how you guys determine what mods to put on certain cards. I see that show zone has like recommendations for mods and wondered how good those recommendations actually are. Is it just personal preference on what you guys look for in a card or something else?

Question Drafting strategy in franchise
Okay hi everyone idk if i have or haven’t posted in here but i had a question and i wanted to run it by yall so Last night (im a twins fan btw) i did a Rockies realistic rebuild and ik you saw the title so i have actually a few questions. One regarding realistic rebuilds how do yall keep the payrolls at a respectable and realistic level because for the most part, i had The rockies at around 140 Million on average with my highest being 191 and i didnt sign any free agents and as low as 88 Million and i had my few and only winning seasons at 90 and 143 Million dollars? So thats my first question and second one is how do yall go about drafting? Because in my Rockies franchise i had done scouting by position for the first time and within 1 1/2 drafts i had 11 Top 100 prospects and 5 of them were starting pitchers that i had built an all new rookie sensation rotation for Colorado. I wanna get yalls thoughts and tell me how have yalls franchises gone realistic or not also My highest win total in 11 years… 83.. AND MY ENTIRE TEAM WAS BASICALLY DRAFTED AND DEVELOPED BY ME

Franchise Drafted Generational Prospect What to do?
I just drafted this absolute beast of a prospect in my 2nd year. I know the Cardinals have a decent budget but I was trying to approach this rebuild with some financial constraints.
I was wondering what I should do with him?
Stick him in the opening day lineup?
Make him sit a year or two in the minors?
Reason I ask is I don’t want to have to pay him like 40+ million a year and was wondering what would be the best path to locking him down long term with a decent contract?

Suggestion For SDS MLB The Show 26 Everyone
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Played a toxic player last night, went up by 5 then shenanigans (possibly cheating) started to take place. Does anyone have any info on this? Cheating, system lag, or just RNG nonsense. Either way he magically tied it up and I luckily won due to pause timeout. Damn right I pressed it right away!

Discussion Time for my yearly inquest: what in the world is going on with the drop rate for stadiums
I know I can’t be alone on this…Every year there is a collection of stadiums that allow you to get a cooler older stadium as a reward.
And every year the drip rate of these stadiums is astronomically low…this year is no different.
I’ve opened thousands (and thousands) of packs this year. I have basically obtained every pack-pulled LS player, uniform, audio call, bat, etc etc but I have yet to pull a single stadium.
I know that there’s fewer chances in a pack to pull non-player items, which lowers the odds of you actually getting them significantly. At the same time, it’s always shocking to me that these cards are so insanely scarce every year when the reward is always so benign.

RTTS I broke the game with too many hrs in the end it ruined me
I hit sooo many homeruns it reset towards the last few weeks of the season and only shows I had 24 runs instead of 280

Question 7/26 Voucher; Easter Egg
Curious what everyone’s thoughts are, do you think we’ll need the Easter Egg Mookie Betts for the upcoming voucher?
Since they surprised us with needing the Easter Egg and St Patty’s Collection. I’m leaning toward picking him up now before his price jumps, but I’m not completely convinced. Interested to hear what everyone else is doing.
