Misc. Alright opinion post. Which faction is objectivelly the worst( morally speaking) and which faction do you personnally hate the most ?
Lets face it both nations are evil. Not even grey as everyone is so racist and the less than a handful that aren't are merely exceptions and not the norms.
Even the good guys are utterly loyal to those countries and their awful systems.
As for worst....id go with Sovereignty since they are massive hypocrites on top of everything
As for which one i hate myself the most? Sovereignty again, only cause they have more focus than empire so ergo more time to show why they suck
Honestly, i dont get the author intent. Cause if he wanted to make both grey he failed at that effectively. Or alternatively he wanted both sides to be equally moral in the conflict, that is equally bad.

Light Novel (JPN Untranslated Volumes) Knowing Kimisen and it's lore, The Sovereignty would either fear or despise these two. Mostly the latter.
Explanation for those who don't know (I suspect there are many): Okay, these characters are named Mithos Yggdrasil and Kratos Aurion. They're from a game called Tales of Symphonia. Why do I think that the sovereignty would fear or despise them? Because they are the creator of a sacrifice and opressive system that continues for 4,000 years and makes the empire's opression of Astral Mages looks small. And don't be fooled by the first one. He's the main antagonist. He is not an innocent boy.

Misc. What would be a better final fight? Two 1v1 at once simultaneously? Or 2v1 against Elletear ?
Like when the end battle arrives
Would you prefer
A: Two fights at once. Iska vs Joheim and Alice vs Elletear in seperated place. Like with Fate stay night as the two MC fights individually the two main antagonist as their respective skills are put to the test
B: 2v1 as the two protagonists fight against Elletear (likely a final form) and its the final trial test the duo synergy as one. Like in Kingdom Hearts 2 final battle.
Which format would you prefer?

Anime Anime vs light novel?
Finished season 1. I think there's a decent amount of detail missing from the LN, seeing as it adapts a whole 4 volumes in just 12 episodes.
What about season 2?

Light Novel (JPN Untranslated Volumes) I could actually see this working.
I like Elletear. I think she deserves better than Johaim, who enables her worst instincts, and to me, is an asshole. And not the lovable kind. So, I ship Elletear and Naruto. Who is nicer than Johaim. And also more charming and lovable. And definitely a good influence for Elletear.

Light Novel (Eng Translated Volumes) Some random takes to spark discussion Spoiler
Elletear is the best character in Kimisen. Her potential romance with Joheim is also interesting.
Iska is not bad, while one can argue he is a nothingburger of a character that gets carried by being the necessary gary stu in the story, I think he has more depth than that and that beyond the superficial denseness that gets in the way of making significant development, you can see multiple shades of his personality. He has potential, I'm just hoping the author manages to mold something out of it.
That being said, Alice does carry their relationship at least at the moment.
Jhin and Sisbell is an infinitely better and more intriguing ship than Iska and Sisbell. I really hope Jhin is going to get more spotlight.

Anime Is Season 2 better?
I am about to finish season 1. I don't think it is bad or anything, but I did get bored.
I wish the main and side characters were more interesting and had more personality or background. I love the romance aspect and some of the plotting by the countries. However the fights feel dull and quick - bad combo. I also get annoyed by the MC as he beats someone and lets them escape. They don't feel like soldiers, no one every gets hurt or killed so it makes every event feel unimportant.
I will probably watch season 2 because it bugs me if I don't finish a show. Is season 2 better?

Misc. Since vol 17 is apparently the end i think it would be fitting that its cover be the opposite of vol 16
In that like vol 2 it has both Iska and Alice on the cover and likely mirror Johaim and Elletear position.

Light Novel (Eng Translated Volumes) a question
How many volumes are there in the novel so far? Is the novel nearing its end? + What is the relationship like now between Iska and Alice in the final volumes, "because I am particularly interested in it"
"And most importantly, what is the plot like in the novel? Is it worth reading?"

Light Novel (Eng Translated Volumes) Elletear in a nutshell
Might. Controls. Everything.
That actually summs up the Sovereignty well. As for all its promises.
It ended up being a strenght is everything. And look how that turned out.
And elletear wants all the power to never be weak again.
(Salinger too fits this)

Manga (JPN Untranslated Chapters) the complexity of isk and alice's relationship
i've been rewatching kimi sen lately, and i can't get over how fascinating the relationship between iska and alice is. it's not just a typical enemies-to-lovers trope. their bond develops amidst war and conflict, and every interaction is filled with tension and emotion. i feel like their backgrounds really shape their perspectives and decisions. does anyone else think that their differing ideals about peace make their love story even more compelling? it adds depth to the narrative and makes you root for them both, even when they're on opposite sides. would love to hear your thoughts on their dynamic and how it evolves throughout the series.
